They’re not consistent with portions served. The liempo was very much less the second time my sister ordered it. Is it because we now availed of the website freebie? Price is too steep considering the quality and quantity of food. We had to wait a long time, too, before our orders were served. Oh, and they included the price of the free food in the computation of taxes and service charge.

The place is cozy and really quiet for one that is located in a mall. There were only anfew ofvis dining in the bar probably because thete are more choices around the area. The staff was preoccupied despite having only a few guests around thus calling them for service took some time. The dishes we ordered were just okay, not reall how I expected them to taste. It was also pricey.

Tried their bestsellers, Beef Shank Pochero and Prawn Sinigang. Beef Shank Pochero has a thick, sabory sauce more than the usual soup consistency but it was really good. The beef is really tender and the vegetables are perfectly cooked. The Prawn Sinigang is a little disappointing since they used Shrimp and not Prawn for it. The soup tastes amazing - fruity and fresh. Ambiance is great and the place is always spotless. This is also one of my favorite places for coffee in Eastwood.

Eastwood cafe+bar is located at the ground floor of Richmonde Hotel. A quiet and cozy place for lunch, meetings, snacks or dinner. We got several alacarte food such as:1. Nasi goreng - all-in-one meal and it comes with chips. Very flavorful.2. Poached salmon aioli - cooked well, you may add lemon if you like.3. Chicken inasal with rice - good enough4. Steak and eggs - more like 'tapa' but has alot of flavor. It may just look flat on the picture.5. Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream - very good but i think the portion is too small for the price.Overall the food tastes good, but a little overpriced? Probably because this is in a hotel. Expect to spend around 450-500pesos per dish (including vat and service charge).

Make a request for Chef Kim to cook your food. Her cooking is one of the best I've tasted. Avoid Chef John's cooking if you want to avoid an unpleasant experience. His Beef Pochero is salty and his Salmon Aioli was the amateur version of Chief Kim's Salmon Aioli (we ordered the same dish at different times on the same day).

We made reservation for a dinner celebration and we were all satisfied with the food. They served bread and butter while waiting and although we waited a bit long, it was worth it. However for the sticky Ribs, I was a bit surprised with its size (and knowing how much its price) and it is not the kind of a fall-off-the-bone ribs. A bit hard to chew, there is not much flavor to it and I did not like it. I did not feel like I am eating “ribs”. Good thing the chicken is the best for me. It is boneless chicken thighs and it got a lot of unique flavor and crunchiness to it. With or without rice, it is sooo good! Lastly, the Kare Kare is also flavorful. Exactly the type of Kare Kare. Not too watery and not too creamy. I loved the taste and texture of the sauce. The meat is so tender and the vegetables are fresh. The place is nice, servers look pleasant, and you will really enjoy the food. There are only two things I did not like. First is the sticky Ribs and second, the servers do not refill water right away. We asked like a couple times to get our water refilled. Overall, it was still a good dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

By my count, there were at least 5 staff members present on the night we ate there. When we arrived, there were only 3 tables occupied. No one was at the door, and every single staff member ignored us as we waited to be seated. One waitress passed by right in front of us and completely ignored us. She wasn’t busy; she had been arranging plates at the bar and when she was done, she meandered over to the kitchen. My husband sat down and waited for someone to give us a menu, to no avail. He stood up, walked to a waitress and asked to be served. Eastwood Cafe is desperately trying to portray an upscale feel, but they seem to be missing an integral part of the experience: simple courtesy. Hard pass.

I was able to sample Eastwood Richmond Hotel's Caramel Chocolate Sablee through Inquirer Lifestyle's Best Dessert 5 book launch at SM Aura Premier. They had other desserts on display too! The Dug Up Brownie was a nice play on the traditional brownie, the way they presented it was equal parts fun and delicious. Served up on gardening tools was a nice touch on its name. Their signature Sablee had a nice crunch with the caramel inside generously prepared, covered in decadent chocolate. Recommended.
