Upon entry at the restaurant, you can already smell the Peruvian spices and you can feel the mexican ambiance because of the music. I found this place through website which has the highest rating around the vicinity. The chicken is very tasty and soft topped with spices. Price is reasonable for 195 pesos.

Went there on a Sunday, make sure to reserve ahead of time cause the place gets packed with families. In tow we brought our cousin who lived in Peru four years to verify the legitimacy of the place. Ordered the ceviche, it was legit but they used japanese corn. Peruvian chicken was dry and had to be drowned with the different sauces that were more Mexican than Peruvian. The octopus or pulpo had the legit flavor but the meat was tough and not soft. Had a hard time chewing it. Overall food was okay, bit pricey not that authentic you want it to be but close enough according to my cousin.

Got a chance to visit Don Andres via a coupon from Deal Grocer. Don Andres serves authentic Peruvian cuisine. The coupon entitled us to a soup of our choice: Pumpkin, Tomato, or Mushroom. We chose Pumpkin Soup and it was really flavorful and delicious. The addition of cumin and garlic gave it a nice aroma and a unique taste. For main course we had a half of their famous roasted chicken. The chicken was very tender even for the breast part. The spice rub of the chicken gave it an addicting feel. For the side dishes, we chose the corn salsa and the veggies with lime dressing. I love the corn salsa because it uses white and yellow corn. The texture was good and the sourness gave it a bright taste. The chicken was also served with three sauces: aji or spicy cucumber dip, chimichurri, and spicy mayo. The chimichurri was the best. The aji gave a cool taste with a spicy aftershock; and somehow the spicy mayo was a good dip for the chicken.Just these two dishes alone, it was money well spent. But we didn't stop there, we had to try their dessert. We ordered their Key Lime Pie and it was the best we ever had. The crust was flaky and the filling was citrusy yet sour and sweet. The entire pie blended together and explodes in your mouth.

Don Andres is one of the highly-rated restos near our area so when I saw a Deal Grocer promo, I bought it right away, & my husband & I even went out of our way to find it. We were not disappointed. The voucher, good for 2, entitled us to get Pumpkin Soup, Pollo A La Brasa, Ensalada, Chicha Salsa & 2 glasses of Iced Tea. We got additional Pulpo Al Olivio (P340), Craft Beer (P180) & Pie De Limon (P155) for dessert. The food was really tasty. The pumpkin soup was rich & filling. The salad has a refreshing citrus taste. The Pollo A La Brasa is a must-try. The Pie De Limon's sour & sweet taste sealed the overall good experience. My husband didn't like the Craft Beer though.Love the colors of the place. It was just a little cramped up & the servers were not so attentive & it's a bit expensive but overall, excellent experience.Taste - 5Value for Money - 3.5Service - 4Ambience - 4

We love their octopis (pulpo al olivo) which was something new and tasty, though kind of reminds me of our kinilaw. We also ordered their pollo a la brasa, their best seller. We can't decide which sauce or siding it paired best haha we had rice, enchilada, and chicha salad. (next time, if I had known we will have an appetizer, we should have forgone the rice)We also had the pie di limon, which was yummy bleding the sour tangy taste of the lemon and the sweet cream and confectioners sugar, just right.I got this through Deal Grocer which is really value for money, at the same time quality food! The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The store had a nice ambience complete with the music, spreading happy vibes while eating.

Food was superb. We had ceviche/pulpo, tomato and mushroom soup, chicken, pork chop, and lomo stir fry. The lomo was probably the best (5/5) but the rest was just as great as well (4.5/5). Just strange that they ran out of mushroom soup and lengua. Ambience is nice and moderm. But aircon needs to be stronger. Will definitely return. That lomo was really superb.

Been at Don Andres for the nth time! Don Andres is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when in the area. No matter how many times I have dined at this resto, I still crave for their very tasty peruvian chicken and their version of paella! Place is beautifully designed and eating there is an experience. One of the restaurants to check out when in the Tomas Morato/Timog Area!

Good stuff. Although not excellent. The beef was good as well as the octopus appetizer. The chicken was so ordinary and pricey. If one is adventurous to try something new, this is a good place. Ambiance was cozy. However, if one badly needs a good food, try this place some other time. Also, foods are quite expensive.

Don Andres A birthday treat from a special friend of mine. Place is not accessible when you don't have a private vehicle, but a 5-10 minutes walk from Timog Ave will do. Seats were empty when we arrived there, that's why we had a chance to look clearer the whole interior of Don Andres, we were fascinated by the colorful cushion seats and the fancy metal artworks attached to their lightbulbs. We also like the idea of strings of yarn hanging up to their ceilings. After few minutes of appreciating the place we then placed our orders. We tried the Pulpo Al Olivo, Arroz con Mariscos and 1/2 Pollo A La Brasa with two sides. As for the Pulpo Al Olivo, it was exciting to try an octopus as an appetizer, I recommend this for people who loves sour-tasting food, Arroz con Mariscos and Pollo A La Brasa creates a perfect pairing, you have a seafood rice and a chicken meat in your spoon all at one. The Rice is flavorful and the Chicken is perfectly cooked, well-done on the outside and juicy in the inside. Food are all good for sharing, it can accommodate 2-4 persons, and the good thing is they are set at a reasonable prices.Waiters are not outspoken, but do their job effectively. They continuously refill our glass of water without being asked. Place - 📍📍📍📍Food - 🍴🍴🍴🍴Price - 💸💸💸Accommodation - 👤👤👤👤Overall - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Birthday Treat 19.3This time, I had with me a very special friend. He let me choose where to eat and one of the first places that came to mind was here.We had to walk for a while since it was quite difficult to locate Don Andres, but eventually, we found it. Once again, we were lucky enough to have arrived at a dead hour so the place was deserted, which enabled us to freely choose where to be seated.Afterwards, we placed our orders. We had Pulpo Al Olivo, Arroz con Mariscos, and 1/2 Pollo a la Brasa with two sides, namely, Pure de Papas (mashed potato) and Ensalada (veggies with lime dressing). The verdict:•Pulpo Al Olivo-This appetizer consisted of sliced octopus bathed in citrus juice, together with a complementary set of saltine crackers with a dip that we both agreed had tasted like blueberries (but we're not exactly sure what it was). It was my first time to have octopus as a separate order; the only other times I was able to eat such were in sushis in various buffets. I'm not really sure how octopus meals should be like, but this appealed to my taste buds, nevertheless. I especially liked the blueberry-tasting dip! I finished half of the crackers by the end of our dinner partly because of the dip and partly because my friend was already full.•Arroz con Mariscos-It was basically a Peruvian version of the Spanish Seafood Paella. One word: PERFECT. I absolutely loved this dish! I'm a very infrequent rice eater because I tend to prefer bread to go with various viands, but I did not have any qualms helping my self to half of this dish's huge serving. Halfway through eating this, I realized there were octopus slices in it as well, so I second guessed if the decision to order a separate octopus dish as an appetizer was a smart one. Probably not; save yourselves some money and just order this rice dish instead.•Pollo a La Brasa-At this stage of our meal, I was already declaring that I was already full. But still, I made space for this last dish. This 1/2 roasted chicken came with three different sauces and two side dishes. I loved how the chicken was tender and not dry in addition to being really flavorful. I tried all the dips and I know I'm biased but I have to say my favorite was the mayo one; however, the other two really complemented the chicken as well.As for the service, I liked how our waitress seemed enthusiastic enough in heeding our requests. Plus, they kept on refilling our water glasses without having the need to ask. For the place, it was a little warm inside, but eventually you'll get used to it. The interior had this authentic Latino ambiance that matched their offered cuisine.Overall, it was definitely one of the best and heaviest meals I have ever had!
