Dekada offers Filipino dishes that are totally considered comfort food and delicious. The place is really nice and inviting. The staff is friendly.

Dekada was my savior during the suspended class yesterday (September 15, 2014). I usually stay at Avida Lounge at Ayala Fairview Terraces during weekends and do my school/org works there. Unfortunately, I forgot the BPI Amore Card at Manila so I cant enter to the lounge. So I scouted at restos with sockets at Fairview Terraces since I'll be using my laptop and I need a socket to charge it if ever it runs out of battery.I entered Dekada and the waitress was very hospitable. She offered me the menu but before I check it, I asked her if there is a socket where I could charge my laptop. She hastily directed me to a table near the socket but is good for 4 people despite the fact that it was only my mom and I who went. It was a great service for me and I appreciate it because they prioritized me and directed me to a place comfy for me even if it would mean that I will use the space good for 4 people, meaning, it was quite risky for their sales. So I kept positive and just appreciated that they have a wide space and lots of tables so they could still accommodate more customers. :)It is amazing how they named their viands and desserts. It is very Filipino and historical. I ordered Proclamation No. 1081 (Buko Halo-halo Espesyal), Rolex 12 (Banana Langka Turon) and Dekada (Unlimited Iced Tea). Total Bill was 364.00 including service charge. I felt relieved and very satisfied that I didn't pay extra charges for the consumption of electricity for charging my laptop. The food was pricey but well-compensated by the good food, good place, good ambiance. I stayed there for more than an hour, surfing the net using their free wifi while enjoying my merienda and Dekada (Unlimited Iced Tea)! My stay here was definitely SULIT! ♥

Been eyeing this resto everytime I pass by Fairview Terraces and good thing my friend set-up a catch up session after work and the rest is history.AmbienceThis resto exudes an elegant dining place I can only imagine at Ayala-Zobel's. The muebles are so classy and elegant, old-richHispanic style. The lighting and the color of the room gives the illusion that the room is bigger that it actually was. This place is perfect for family lunches/dinners, even for couple dates. The place is as awesome as the food they are serving.Main eventAngus Beef Tapa (P278.00)Ensaymada at Batirol (P148.00)Bottomless Mango Juice (P98.00)WaterWe opted for their all-day breakfast in which includes Garlic rice and choice of 2 eggs or salted eggs. Juices are served in mason jars with cute paper straws! The beef is tender, though I needed to use a knife to slice it. Dekada is known to serve Hispanic Filipino foods so the experience wouldn't be complete if I didn't order their ensaymada and choco batirol, it was served warm and was such a perfect combination to end my meal. I haven't asked if they bake their own pastries or they have a supplier but I saw their pastry stand and cupcakes are available, too.Although the place looks like expensive, the prices are actually affordable and the servings are usually for 2 (disclaimer, depends how small or how big you eat, hihi). We only spent less than P900 for 2 inclusive of service charge.Time of visit: 13:30 14 April 2014

The food is very delicious except their sinigang should be paired with plain rice only not the other flavorful ones. Their adobo is sooo good! I just wish they add more aubergine in their ensalada because I only saw few pieces. And yes their giant halo-halo is really a giant one! Plus it has a lot of ingredients so it's a must try! Will probably go back for their meryenda buffet. Btw their staff are all friendly and accommodating too!

My Family and I ate in this branch the day before Christmas. I like the food but the service is worst (knowing that we paid for the costly service charge). The manager of this Branch (Erin) has a very negative mood. I asked her why our orders had taken so much time before served and she responded so stale. She is not attributed with proper attitude as a manager.

Meryenda time! Ordered the dinuguan with puto. It was tasty! The serving of the dinuguan is good for 2 people. But it came with just 2 rice cakes. The watermelon shake was too sweet but refreshing, nonetheless. Martial Law halohalo came in a buko shell. It had corn kernels, red beans, sweet white beans, nata, gulaman, ube, tapioca, and Leche flan. And this was supposed to be regular! I enjoyed like any iced treat! Overall, a win! Here again today, Easter Sunday 2015, with my brothers Toj and Patrick, and his kids Miguel and Tricia plus Marco's daughter Charlie. We ordered Magwagi, a spread of well-loved Filipino dishes. There were litson manok (bland and very ordinary), twice-cooked adobo (everyone loved this, flavorful and sweet), Bicol express (deconstructed, with sauce separate from meat. This, too, was good. The sauce was rich and just the right kind of spicy), binukadkad na plapla (so-so but serving was big), Laguna salad (green and ripe mango with cucumber and tomatoes), sinigang na spareribs (my personal favorite, the broth was perfect!), and adobo rice. We ordered drinks (the bottomless options were conveniently not available); so I and my bro Pat had the watermelon shake, the kids had the ripe mango shake and Toj had the calamansi juice. Again, food was great! But they forgot one order of the shake; I had to wait for this. So, they should just work on the fundamentals.

Dekada in FT is located inconspicuously. It’s within Wellworth Department store and you will hardly notice it unless you decide to go to the most inner portions of the store.Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll see a modest space filled with big tables and chairs. We love restaurants like this where you have ample arm space between each other. The tables and chair are made of wood, typical of Filipino themed restaurants, but the cushions are soft and Lola liked that they have throw pillows to support her back.Upon looking at the menu, there’s quite a number of Filipino dishes we love, like dinuguan,   adobo and karekare. But we opted for their package meal which they called “Magtagumpay” meal. They have several package meals but this one was the most expensive because of the boneless crispy pata, which is the real reason why we ate here. It costs P2,199 good for 4-6 persons.  It consists of (as I remember: fried rice, boneless bangus, chicken inasal, crispy pata, steamed prawns, and kare-kare. ) These were all arranged on a huge banana leaf like in a boodle meal. For drinks, we got bottomless dalandan juice which was so refreshing, not too sweet, and not too acidic either. My husband got a jar of watermelon smoothie which he loved and according to him was like drinking pureed watermelon.FeedbackThe “Magtagumpay” meal was just enough for the 6 of us but consider the eaters, 2 senior citizens, 2 adults and 2 kids. If you got heavy eaters in your family, we suggest that you order more aside from the package meal. The fried rice included in this package had lots of dilis (fried little anchovies) and it made the rice a little bit saltier than it should. I was also a bit worried of the dilis hurting my gums. The “winner” in this package though is the boneless crispy pata. Unlike the crispy pata which appears big because of the bones, Dekada’s crispy pata are already boneless, the skin are all crispy and you will really enjoy eating it. The kare-kare is also special, the sauce is thick and the meat and “tuwalya” are very easy to eat. My youngest daughter love the sugpo while my eldest love the chicken inasal. More photos in my blog.

We ordered group set meal for 6 persons worth 1,999.00 ( sorry I forgot the name) Food title on their menu were also cute I felt I was reviewing for my history exam when I was in elementary. Food was ok. Dilis rice was good. Serving of Kare-Kare was small, almost no meat at all. Crispy pata was tasty and the rest were also good. Place was nice too.

If upon hearing the restaurant moniker "Dekada", the terms " Filipino" and "history" come to mind, you'd be right on both accounts. Dekada is a heritage restaurant of sorts, decked with nationalistic decor. The menu's pretty straight-up Filipino, so anyone with a penchant for home cooking will feel right at home. Its location reminds me of Cafe Via Mare in Landmark; if you're approaching it from the inside, you have to go inside the department store to get to it. Come to think of it, it's rather convenient if you're doing hours of shopping in there. Seating's kind of limited and a bit crowded together, so it might be a good idea to call ahead if you plan on taking your family there for dinner. Our orders included gising-gising, pancit, kare-kare, and fried rice, all of which were pretty good. The grilled squid was sprinkled with some sort if weird herb that left it tasting funny. My beverage of green mango shake was too much on the sweet side and didn't have that sourness I was craving for.Service was... interesting. I won't go into specifics, but suffice to say, the woman who catered to us was definitely giving off a vibe that there was someplace else she'd rather be.To be completely honest, the food's kind of ordinary and the price a just a tad steep. So those factors coupled with the odd service probably won't make me come back anytime soon.

Another brand owned by no less than Chef Marvin Agustin! I like its location (strategically located inside Fairvies Terraces Department Store). Its a good place to stay for us men specially when we our wives are busy doing some shopping. :-)Well, its a merienda buffet. Choices are not that much (around 5 variands ONLY) but i would say, i was satisfied with the ambiance and if course the foods.
