Indeed, the place is shabby. Their side dishes are exposed. The staff does not know how to properly accommodate the guests especially those who ordered to-website. I probably won't go back here anymore.

I am a sucker for tteokbokki. I love Korean food so much and tteokbokki is my favorite. I can eat it every day. I love Daewang's version of Tteokbokki. I keep coming back for this. It's spicy with a hint of sweetness. The serving is good for 2-3. They only give few banchan tho

I came here for a birthday celebration with my big brother. Place: rather small but can seat many people. Limited parking so better to find a parking space somewhere. There is a buffet area for side dishes but it is set up like a serve-self buffet at a birthday party-with trays and are not heated. Not air-conditioned but the tables on the side each have an electric fan.Food: they had a few Korean side dishes but worth mentioning is the chapchae because I thought it was good! The meat for cooking was a bit dry but it may be due to the actual cooking? The marinated pork was better though. As for price, I thought it was fair since it was a buffet. Quantity over quality here.Service: they were attentive when we needed anything.

Not for the faint of heart. The food is good but the place might push picky eaters away. A bit shabby and dirty here and there. The cr is detached and you have to ask for the key to use it. A key with a spoon for key chain. The servers seem to take their sweet time giving refills for the meat but it could just be my imagination. There are curious people peering from time to time. The compound is a bit sketchy to be honest. But the food is still ok, pay is cheap and if you're not a very picky person, come here. The spicy soup is my fave.

My boyfriend and I had our lunch here and availed the unli samyupsal with soup. The food: There's a buffet of side dishes and 2 kinds of cooked meat. The food on the buffet table are not hot anymore when we came in. They have a charcoal grill and hood on every table. I can say that the food is just okay compared to other korean restos I've tried. The price: Average. The place: It's along Kalayaan ave, easy to locate and has ample parking space. The ambiance: I didn't feel comfortable eating as there were street children lurking outside the glass door. The comfort room is common and has a key. The key holder is a serving spoon and is hung on the entry to the cr. The walls and ceiling need repairs. It doesn't look that neat. It seemed like there were tenants living in the building because there was this lady sweeping the floor on the hallway towards the cr and there were bystanders and kids playing. The service: everytime I ask for a refill of the samG, it takes them 5 minutes to do so.. (or maybe Im just used to the fast service of other korean resto?) I felt like they're doing that on purpose so that the charcoal in our grill would be used up and we wont ask for refill anymore. Conclusion: I dont mean to be harsh but Im not going back there and would not recommend it to my friends.
