My family loves eating filipino food and we like discovering new restaurants serving classic Filipino dishes — and Crisostomo is one of our good discoveries. What I also love about Crisostomo is their interiors. The place is perfect for get togethers. The well-thought of menu, having reference to Rizal’s work, is likewise entertaining.Every single dish we ordered did not disappoint. For starters we had Protacio’s pride (Baked mussels with garlic and cheese) and Crazy Sisa (crispy hito flakes with green salad). For the main course we ordered Rice with taba ng talangka and Sinigang ni Eva (sinigang with watermelon and native vegetables); Kapitan Tiago (chicken inasal with inihaw atay); Anastacio (crispy hito with mango slices and burning hipon on mustasa leaves) ; Kare-kare ni Simon (seafood kare kare). Not in the photos are my lolo’s halo-halo ni crisostomo and my sister’s avocado shake. I MUST commend the crispy hito which is by far, one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. It was fresh and fried to perfection, which is paired perfectly with the green mango slices. The sinigang with watermelon was something new, but I like how the sweet and tangy mixed well in one dish. The chicken inasal is not your usual inasal — it exceeded expectations. It’s not something like I’ve had before. Service is so so. This is probably the only thing in the whole experience that wasn’t exceptional which is why I’m giving Crisostomo 4/5.

Eastwood, Libis - you'll see sorts of restaurants left and right. From the Mediterranean to American restaurants, all sorts of fast food chain and a wide variety of food kiosk for you to choose from. One of which is Crisostomo, owned by Chef Florabel Co, named after Crisostomo Ibarra from Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tángere and alliteration of her husband's name, Christopher. Famed for its contemporary take on Filipino dishes - if its pinoy food you crave, I guess this is the right place for you.

The food was good, but really expensive. The staff tried so hard to accommodate our requests. However, there were a lot of leftovers from our table, so we opted for take out. The staff did not include almost half of our UNTOUCHED orders! Very dishonest and disappointing, considering we paid 15k for our meal!Make sure to check your take out bags because the staff are disgustingly dishonest! So much for very expensive Filipino food!

It was not so difficult for us to locate the restaurant as it is located within Eastwood Mall. The restaurant was quite small and can only accommodate few customers inside seating. Food were authentic gourmet Filipino dishes. The tasted were very good but quite pricey (I think so). Hyped as it may seem, we still did try some of the menu items such as: lumpiang sariwa, pakbet with bagnet, lengua estofado, etc. The food were all good and satisfying however with the amount of food comparing to its price, I felt it was a little bit of a rip off. Service wise were excellent. As it is our first time to try Crisostomo, our server (I think he was the supervisor), was very prompt and was recommending dishes we should try. The food runners too were very quick responding to requests, etc. This is something that we consider too when dining – their service. The location was very good, as Eastwood is one of the popular places to hang out and have meals at as the vibe is very young, very lively. However, the restaurant’s ambiance looks tired. We were seated by the AC and still did not feel like we are seated in an air conditioned room. The AC wasn’t really working well considering it is already in the evening. We, diners, were only seated there for few hours and we already feel uncomfortable. Imagine how the staff feel about it, they are there standing and moving, serving the customers and do not have the proper ventilation? I kind of feel for them too. Over-all, food were excellent! Service is as excellent, keep it up! Hope the management commends them for being prompt, respectful and courteous to customers.

Dined here when my Aunt from the U.S arrived. She ordered a lot because of her cravings hehe. There were only three of us and our bill was like we ate from a buffet restaurant haha. She even bought the bottled goodies and nuts.

Used to be our favorite resto until they did big changes in their recipe :( even the dip of the Tinapa ni Tiburcio was changed and the Sisa Salad dont have the crispy Squid anymore (they had hito instead). Serving size got smaller and the taste of the food is not that good anymore :(

Ambience: 4.5/5We are a group of 3. The place is clean and has a good lighting.Food: 4.5/5The Paella Filipino is very delicious. The variety of toppings makes it the most complete dish (pork, shrimp, chicken, eggs, etc.)Binagoongan ni Pia (Pork Binagoongan) 3/5The crispy pork belly is good. The plating is very indulgent. However, the bagoong itself is not to my liking. It's on the sweet side, like the one you usually pair with unripe mangoes. If I could rate this among all pork binagoongans I've eaten since childhood, I will put this last on the list.Choleng (Churros with Chocolate Dip) 5/5Well, at least, the dessert saved it all. The chocolate dip with a blend of chocnut really matched well. Plus the cinnamon dusted churros. It's heavenly!Service: 5/5We ate here during Black Saturday. The place is almost empty at around 3pm. We reserved via Eatigo (50% discount). The staffs were courteous and very attentive. The reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because they let us take away all the unconsumed food. I didn't ask for it because according to their policy as well as Eatigo's, taking out is strictly prohibited and our discount will be forfeited. But the guy (wasn't able to get his name), told us that he can wrap it for us to take away. Really great experience.

We missed eating Pinoy food, and happened to pass by Crisostomo one afternoon. We ordered Sizzling Linares (pork sisig), Leandro (laing with lechon kawali), and a cup of rice each. Although very unhealthy, we had a great lunch as our orders complemented each other. Nothing memorable to be honest, but what I really wanted to review is the quality of their service, which for me is an equally important experience when dining. Customer service could definitely improve. There was this one staff member who was walking around, looking at the walls, the roof, other people—basically everywhere but at us. So we had to constantly ask for his (or anyone’s) attention to ask for things that should have been provided already, in the first place, ie., vinegar and toyo (since we ordered sisig, right?🙄), and rice of course, because who has ever served Filipino viand without serving the rice first OR serving them together, for who eats sisig cold OR without rice, for crying out loud? 🙄I would have given a score of 2 if not for the saving grace of two or three of their staff members, one of which may be the manager. She was very warm, reminiscent to a tender mother who’s hosting a dinner with her daughter’s friends, and asks around how we are and if the food was good 😆 Would still give Crisostomo a chance in the future, but probably in a different branch.

I love this place so much! I love the whole concept of the restaurant, from the name itself - Crisostomo, Filipino names of the staff, and the unique names of their dishes. The food is simply amazing because they managed to keep the original Filipino recipes! I love Manok ng Diablo, Escolta Pancit and Kang Kong con Selo. Their desserts are also a must try, the prices are a bit pricey but it is worth it! The serving is also worth the price.
