Cool Drinks, some like it hot though. Offering a variety of cafe blends and snacks, Cool Beans is a Mecca of book lovers, coffee lovers, and everyone in between. Although their pastries aren't exceptional in terms of texture, richness, and decadence, this place can still be adorned for its fine decor, energizing drinks, and palatable plate of culinary dishes. PLACE 4/5Great selection of books, Great customer service,  Didn't see the board games (reason is at the bottom), we had to share a seat with another couple but it's still good, little space for those who have cars but still very accessible. Unfortunately, no wifi (that's why you have books).PRICE 4/5 👍Very reasonable price (I'd prefer their frost blends over SB), Not sure if they separate charges for the games or they have a minimum amount for an order to play.TASTE 4/5 👍My girlfriend ordered Chicken Aglio Olio and Mint Chocolate Chip while I ordered the Vigan Longganisa Penne and the Cool Beans Special Coffee Frost Blend (Sorry, I can't remember the exact name of the frost blend). My orders were great and I really loved the taste of the longganisa and my drink. I also liked the Mint Chocolate Chip cause I can really taste the mint, the Aglio Olio not so much but it tasted good too. We also had the Choco Lava Cake with Ice Cream on top(I hope I remembered it right).------Since I'm a book lover and I want to read in a comfortable place plus there are board games too. Unfortunately, a marriage proposal was arranged by some guests so probably the board games were taken from the shelves. I'd probably return and change my rating after I played some games.

Great place to have some focused studying or just leisure reading. I wasn't in the mood for some drink, hence I ordered some dessert to munch while having some intense studying and more chitchat. What I got was a slice of cloud9 and it was meh. Nothing phenomenal. Felt like i was eating a brownie than a cake. Or maybe it wasn't a cake at all. They have more pastries on display, so better skip this one. I never tried any drink, but my friends seem to love their hot and frost blends. So give it a try. Would definitely be back though to try something interesting from their menu selection.

The whole Maginhawa strip seems like a masterplanned hub of restaurants. It has a multitude of cuisines, styles and appeal. It caters to all markets and its establishments serves as a second home to customers. Cool Beans is your home away from home. It's chill, cozy with interactive staff willing to serve you. It shouts stay here as long as you want and bring a date if you will. The concept of library is a novelty and its coffee selections for the enthusiasts. They serve Sagada, Benguet and Kalinga beans. And it ranks accordingly for strongest to still strong. My friend enjoyed having to try all three while I sipped away being afraid not being able to sleep. We all loved their Php 85 Cookie Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. It's an amazing combination that delights your palate for its sweetness and fudgy smooth texture. We actually got two of these. The Hazelnut Salted Caramel though was diabetic. No salty feel just pure enigma of sugar in a glass. Bye Php 130. The Orange Muffin on the other hand could use more fruity sour taste and more density. Maybe an orange peel incorporated inside would have made it interesting.

The place was so cozy. Also nice set of staff. When we were here, most of the people inside were still students. Well, it's not unusual since the restaurant offers a lot of books to read and a cozy ambiance if you want to study. We ordered "Pan-Grilled Pork Belly" and "Herb-Crusted Cream Dory". They offer an affordable list of food. And so it's like you get what you actually pay for. The food was definitely not to die for, but it will fill your stomach and that's not so bad.

I found this cafe lovely. It's a leisurely place wherein one can study in peace. The music they played were very catchy, and their collection of books and board games were quite diverse. The servers were nice, the  cafe was aesthetically pleasing--I especially loved the frames on the left wall, and their drinks were good.

I give 1 point for the place as it is cozy and clean, bathroom is working. Tables are well maintained. 1 point for the staff as they are attentive and well accomodating. 2 points for the food as it tastes good, serving are well enough. 1 point for the price as it is at par with the food's serving and quality

Even though it's dubbed as a Library cafe, you can't really study using your laptop here. They were strict about their outlet and there's no wifi. But the coffee is good though.

Bad first impression!😳After dining at another establishment, my friend and I drove all the way to the other end of Maginhawa, just to try this place... They only have parking for about 3 cars, so be warned in advance... The place was pretty small and cozy, quiet due to the students reviewing on the different tables... The most striking feature of the place is the huge bookshelf occupying a whole wall, with lots of interesting titles that may tempt the patrons of the place... 📚📖📚Their drink choices felt limited to me... I really just wanted to eat dessert anyways... But when I checked out their sweet offerings, I was in for a surprise... Hello, S&R much?😱 All their baked goods come from S&R, without the benefit of repacking or whatever... From the store packaging to their display... It was such a copout for me... Mega react ako dun, partly due to the high mark-up for no effort... Tsk tsk!😱 But I guess if one is very into S&R's muffins, it would be okay to buy them like that?😳Good thing their staff was uber friendly and helpful... My friend tried one of their coolers, which was sooooo sweet! yikes! I ordered coffee, but it didn't stand out for me.Well, overall, it seemed like a good place to study, as they encourage you to keep your voice down. That being said, it didn't seem like they welcome chatty groups of friends... Medyo library atmosphere ang dating nung place, so I wouldn't recommend it to people who just want to hang out... My friend and I were talking, in normal voices, and we were met by dirty looks by some of the people... Gusto ko sabihin, taon taon din ako nag-review sa Starbucks at kung may maingay, I would take a walk first... Why? Because it's a coffee shop and not a library, so nakiki-aral lang din ako... I didn't feel at home in the place... If they wanted to make it like a library which serves food, they should have made the lighting brighter for those who are reviewing... But, it didn't feel like the right place for a friendly meet-up... I don't know, very half-baked for me... Bad visit.
