Second time my partner and I ate dinner here and we just keep loving CoCo Ichibanya even more. Quality of food and serving is sooo worth the visit and the price! Food is served freshly cooked but what I specifically like about the meal is that the temperature of the food was just right (not the type that burns the taste buds on the first bite). It becomes important when I’m really hungry as I go to the place, which in this case, yes. 😋😋 I really loved my pork cutlet omelette! Also kudos to the attentive and polite staff. My partner and I are excited for our next dinner at CoCo Ichibanya.

Been craving for coco curry for a while now. Trying to avoid beef and pork, so i opted for fried squid with a side of spinach, level 1 spiciness. Food was awesome, no difference from what i’ve had in japan. The squid was surprisingly tender. Rice was expectedly delicious. Great service in this branch.

Had to try a new twist with curry! I'm not really a fan of curry but, I have to say that this was good! I have the curry kimchi. Both are spicy but manageable. They ask you how spicy you want it to be. Also had their iced tea, good good iced tea. Will come back!

Definitely my go to place for Japanese Curry. The distinct taste of their curry is what I always crave for. There’s no other place for me that comes close. The curry has that perfect consistency and spice. The Katsu is nice and crispy and the added extra topping of corn, spinach and cheese makes it perfect for my palate.

I am a fan of ramen but not a fan of curry. However, a persistent dining staff encouraged me to try this, I tried it and it was really very good. It was a great experience.

TLDR: Great food, quiet place. Recommended for: Japanese food lovers, people who want to have quiet conversations over lunch, spicy food lovers.Food: I don't think I or my friends have had a bad dish at CoCo Ichibanya. Granted, the selections look varied but (almost) everything has the same sauce, but just having a different main ingredient makes a lot of difference and every meal is just satisfying. Not sure if it shows, but I love CoCo and Japanese curry!Ambiance: The place is very quiet. I like that the biggest table in the restaurant is technically outside the restaurant and in the far back, so big groups who may get a bit noisy and rowdy can't disturb the other customers.Price: The prices are kinda OK since the servings are big, but they aren't everyday-lunch prices. They're more date prices or I'm-with-my-parents-so-it's-okay prices.

One of the good places to get your Japanese curry fix in Manila. Restaurant itself is very spacious and clean.Food wise good variety, basically just the same curry but I like the thought that they have options for vegetable or fish/seafood choices only. Just a bit sad they are slashing the Hamburg and the sausage on their menu which is a personal fave. None the less would still go back for their food.

Looking back now, the Fried Chicken Curry I ordered may be real tasty, but it's almost like just eating at home. I will probably try out a recipe to replicate it, haha. Seriously, I guess I had to say that honestly because I think their prices are a bit too steep for something that ordinary.

I am not a stranger to Japanese curry as I have had chicken curry lots of times before and I have made it at home as well on multiple occassions. But a lot of people seems enamored with Coco Curry so I was curious and went to the nearest branch within my vicinity, which happens to be in Eastwood. The place is hidden along with the restaurant called Mesa at Eastwood Mall, 3rd floor. They do however have a good number of seats, decors were very modern and it was quiet which suits me as I prefer dining without all the noise.Ordered The Pork Cutlet and Egg Curry with added cheese, Standard Spice Level. The curry roux is undoubtedly authentic with its rich smooth flavor and wholesome deliciousness that can appeal to a lot of people. The thick pork cutlet was well breaded, needed a bit of finesse when I cut it into pieces but it meshes well with the curry sauce, mild cheese, soft egg and rice.Unfortunately, I wished I ordered a higher spice level for it was a bit underwhelming at first. I had to rectify it by sprinkling the hot spice container over my curry to adjust the spiciness level. The whole thing became more delicious after some adjustments and it was made even more interesting when you put a bit of the pickled plum into the mix.The small crunchy red bits were sweet; nevertheless a bit of it on your curry adds texture and another dimension to the curry dinner. As for the serving size, this is hefty enough for me and I am a big girl because the rice serving is big enough and the curry sauce was practically covered majority of the plate.Service was okay, the servers were polite when they take your order and they know their products but they remain quiet unless you call out to them. I don't mind though as it helps me concentrate on eating.Overall, a solid curry chain. Not one I may visit soon but when I do have cravings for good curry, this is the top of my list.

Tastes exactly Japanese curry and the volume is quite satisfactory. Priced reasonably for what you eat. Hope for more stores to be opened across the Philippines.
