Love this place! Prices are cheap. Serving sizes are generous. And the most important thing, the food is delicious! I've only eaten here twice. And i can't wait to go back! Glad a friend introduced me to this place. We ordered chicken pandan, pad thai, fried spring rolls, crispy catfish salad, tom yum, pork curry and bagoong rice. The chicken was soooo good! Tender, juicy and full of flavor! Not that fond of tom yum and the curry was too rich for me. Aside from that, we loved everything else! 👍

This restaurant has been in banawe for as far as I can remember.. But this is the first time I've tried it.. Food were delicious, and came in half and full orders.. Loved the tom yum and the bagoong rice.. The rice alone doesn't need any other dish.. Price point is relatively cheap..

The food is ok especially the sweet chilli sauce, the serving is right. The ambiance is not that good and the place is too small downstairs, I asked if there is still enough space upstairs but they said it is unavailable. Crew are generous but the service is quite bad. Some of our orders forgot to serve and a little problem to our billing.

This restaurant is my go to place when I want to get Thai food and this place has been around for years. They serve tasty and affordable Thai food in reasonable portions. I always get the Sweet Pork Bagoong Fried Rice and my favorite the Chicken in Pandan Leaves. The resto is quite small and I don’t recommend dining in large groups but I believe they do pickups. The staff are nice and I have nothing bad to say about them. Overall this place is just a nice cozy place to get good affordable Thai food on a budget

This is the newly named Muang Thai, sans the other 4 owners. We were so delighted to find out that the menu is still the same as Muang Thai and the food cooked just the same. This has always been our favorite Thai food, because with the quality of the food served to you, the price is very affordable. The servers know us and told us that they have been following our lives - from singlehood, to get married, to having 1 - 2 then 3 children. We have always been and will always be loyal to Muang Thai, now Chef Yog's!

Nice place. But really small, and the food is good. Food is served quite fast... N price is fair with comparison to taste and portion.......

We all have our "Go to" places for food, for today, I went to my childhood go to place for Thai. The place still is pretty much the same when I was just a boy. And the food, is still awesome!I ordered my usual Go to food here, Tom Yum Gung, golden fried squid, chicken pandan and their Bagoong Rice. The authenticity of flavors is just amazing, feels like you are in Bangkok sipping Tom Yum and munching out chicken pandan and bagoong rice. The flavor components used in this resto is not pretentious not even trying to be the best at it. But they will outperform the classier and newer Thai resto's here in the Metro. Here is my personal verdict:Bagoong rice 4/5Tom Yum 4/5Chicken Pandan 4.5/5Golden fried squid 2.5/5 (squid meat is tough but the flavor is awesome)To simply put it, Muang Thai is THE BEST THAI resto in the metro for me.

Back in the days (maybe 15 years ago) Thai restaurants were not common. Muang Thai was one of the pioneers and is still doing well today. The place is very small and a little old but the place is still a solid place to get cheap Thai food. Muang Thai was my first ever experience eating Thai food. Back when I was in my teens, my mom brought me here. It was the first time I tasted fried catfish salad, pandan fried chicken and the staple bagoong rice. Upto today I think I compare all Thai restaurants to this one.
