They have yummy gelato with so many flavors to choose from. They also have alcoholic gelato like the whiskey flavor...very innovative. The place is so comfy, they even have board games for kids and adults.

Tired and starving from my 48 hours duty i craved for something heavy like rice meal but most places were packed. Looking around saw this new place na walang tao so i decided to give it a try. Place was new and well kept. Service crew were attentive but somewhat lost haha. My table was uneven so i asked someone to get it fixed.. nobody did tho. I ordered pumpkin soup and parmesan fish fillet which were both served in less than 15 mins. Soup was really good.. but the main dish was a disappointment (so no photo). Doesnt look appealing at all ... taste? Nothing special. Fair value for money (should have tried their pasta 😔). Heading to Burger King now. Sooo daming gutom still Lol

I'm so lucky to be living semi-near SM North Edsa since they recently opened a new restaurant wing! I've only been to Mr. Pizza, Gringo, and Osaka Ohsho so far, but it has so much more to offer! Casa Italia is my most recent discovery at The Block! The only unfortunate thing.about my visit was that they were only offering limited gelato flavors at the time. I almost tasted every single one before I found what I wanted - Strawberry! How predictable, right? HahaCasa Italia's offerings isn't limited to gelato. They also have sandwiches, pasta, coffee, and more! Each section is uniquely decorated so you feel like you're in a different place every time you visit.

I have walked past this restaurant several times the last few months and have always been curious in trying it out. The interior looks nice and fresh and the menu looks quite interesting. Of course, also on this menu, I see nachos. Not really Italian is it, but who cares about this here in Manila. One weekday at around 6 PM a couple of weeks before Christmas it is time to finally give Casa Italia a try.We order - of course – Nachos, One Spaghetti with Pesto, and two pizzas. A part from this the waiter also recommends us their best seller - Mac and Cheese. Nothing special with our order but it gives me the opportunity to try out what they, according to our waiter does best. Pizzas and pastas. The food is being served quickly to our table. Less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I am not happy with basically anything. The food is tasteless and the servings are quite small. Especially for the price that I am paying. In a bowl, I am being served the spaghetti with pesto sauce. I estimate that there is about 250 grams of store bought spaghetti mixed with pesto sauce. The pesto sauce itself lacks not only garlic flavour but also plain seasoning. I am guessing that the pesto is made with cheap quality almonds and not the proper more expensive pine nuts. Also, I believe that the cheese is made with dried “Parmesan cheese” and perhaps also cheddar cheese in order to make the product even more profitable for the restaurant owner. I more or less have this confirmed when I ask our waiter for additional Parmesan cheese and I am being served the, so called Parmesan cheese, but for me, is just a dried powder that has been transferred from its original plastic tube, (probably bought next door in SM supermart), to a glass container with a spout making it easier to pour this dried tasteless powder over my food. Of course the spaghetti itself is overcooked, Just like all Italian restaurants serve it here in Manila.Similar story with the Mac and cheese. In a black frying pan (?) I am being served not only over cooked, but also completely tasteless macaroni, probably, by the brand “Ideal”. This has been topped by a couple of table spoons of different types of cheeses. The weird thing is that the cheese is just topping the macaroni’s. The cheese has not been melted or gratinated. It looks like something a student cooks in his dorm. I look at the food for a while and estimate that there is about 25 to 30 pesos in raw material I am being served. Also, the pizzas are quite small. The taste is not bad, but what make me disappointed is that the pizza base itself has been cooked first once, and then topped before being cooked a second time, in order to heat it up and melt the cheese. So what about the Nachos? Same here. The portions are way too small. Have a look at the photo and judge for yourself? Would you be happy paying 195 pesos for this?As you understand I cannot recommend people to go here. Since I live in the neighbourhood I will continue to walk past this restaurant. I will keep an eye on it, and it is not impossible that I will try it again. Especially, after I have been informed that they have finally hired a proper Italian consultanting chef that will help the owners to get back on track. Unfortunately, this chef will be quite expensive but if this does not happen this restaurant will for sure close in 2017.

Nice interior,Food Taste - just ok, Gellato lang yung masarap siguro sakanilavalue for money - not goodMedyo mahal ng unti pagkain nila tapos parang nirereheat lang nila pagkain, umorder ako ng lasagna/lasagne yung sa bandang gitna ang lamig lamig, nangangahulugan na galing pa sa ref. Kaya kinelangan ko pa sabihin sa waiter na ipainit nila uli.

The place is nice. Interior is commendable. Very cozy.We ordered nachos, iced mocha, lasagna. Nachos is so-so. Didn't appreciate it that much. Not much cheese and toppings. Not the way I like it. Lasagna is okay. Very italian. Iced mocha is not like iced mocha at all. Tastes like cappuccino. This restaurant is OKAY.

I personally love Italian food and I had high expectations of this place since I've heard a lot about it in BGC(where I work). Casa Italia has that modern, Italian yet cozy feel as you enter its premises, which creates a very inviting vibe to at most(in my opinion) millennials. Me and my mom tried it out earlier today getting these food items and heres how it went:Bolognese-I like how the pasta's texture is. Pasta is al dente and the tomato sauce is tart as italian pasta should be. Flavor comes in as more tomatoey, sometimes overwhelming the meat it had on the sauce. Add parmesan if you love cheese so much-like I do. Lol! 😳 Beef Lasagna-I'm a big fan of lasagna and I instantly think of comfort food when I get one. Unfortunately, what I had overcooked lasagna sheets, and the layering between sauce and pasta is not proportional. The sauce might have been spilled at the sides of the pasta dish, resulting to a sequential bite of pasta, not of pasta-sauce-cheese in one forkful. The sauce may have been reduced more since I felt like the tomato flavor it had was not that pure as the bolognese had. Supremo pizza-I love how thin the crust was! I also appreciate that the sweetness of the onion complimented the saltiness of the ham, mixed with fruity undertones from the black olives. I recommend this pizza for a light meal to share(or all by yourself. Lol!)

Casa Italia is a gelato brand franchised from Singapore. It opened its first branch in BGC 2 years ago, now, they have their second branch, here in SM The Block. It's a small Italian-inspired cafe that specializes in Gelato and serves some Italian dishes like pizzas and pastas. After our meal from another restaurant, we had our coffee and desserts here. We got their Four Cheese Pizza and some Liquorato. The four cheese pizza is just a bomb. It's not your usual pizza with blue cheese. The four cheeses are cheddar, mozzarella, white goats cheese, and gruyere. The cheese blend is perfectly balanced. Sharp, nutty, creamy, cheesy. The bread was nice and thin with a crisp sides, but it lacks the flavor for the bread. I tried the liquorato. It's an alcoholic version of affogato. A scoop of raspberry gelato with a shot of limoncello. I love the additional citrus lemony flavor enhanced the sweet tart raspberry. It's a new way to have your favorite gelato flavor. Casa Italia gives you a nice homey feel that lets you relaxed in your chair. A perfect place to hangout with friends and family.#TheFoodCrawlers #SplatMNL #OngsFoodprints

Their regular food is just so so. Managed to try their mac and cheese and their baked rice, and both were just so so. The real draw here is of course the gelato, and I would consider their gelato to be the best in Manila at the moment. What really shines for them is their flavor replication. When they say this gelato is this flavor, it truly tastes like what it is supposed to be.
