Calligraphy Workshop at Cafe Mithi Last October 8, 2016, my cousins and I signed up for a Basic 3-in-1 Calligraphy Workshop (Brush + Watercolor + Pointed Pen) at Cafe Mithi. The workshop fee is P 2200/person inclusive of the following:• 3-hr workshop session • Complete workshop kit (all materials, handouts, and practice sheets for take home)• Soft copy of practice drills• Food and drinks++ Up to 50% discount on succeeding inhouse workshopsThe workshop was handled by the cafe owner, Pao. She was very accommodating and patient in teaching us the basics of calligraphy. AMBIANCE Since we were early for the workshop, we decided to check the small cafe first. The place was so cozy that you would want to stay in there for hours. The walls were decorated with calligraphy done by other students who attended their previous workshops that you'll get inspired to learn right away after seeing the artwork of other people. FOODAs for the food we were only able to try their signature hot cocoa, ALAB (cacao tablea + siling labuyo) since we were quite full with the packed lunch provided for us. I loved the rich taste of this hot cocoa. It was impeccable. I would not mind going back to this nice little cafe and try their other house specialties. SERVICE The service was exceptional. The staff were very pleasant and were nice enough to take our pictures. It also did not take them long to prepare the drinks we ordered. The owner, Pao, was helpful and encouraging as well. Looking forward to visiting your cafe again soon!

PLACE - I liked the ambiance. We sat on the 2nd floor and the capacity is limited but i liked tho 'cause it's not crowded. Airconditioning is good as well. Interior is quaint and unique. Artistic.FOOD - Tried their best seller ALAB (hot choco + siling labuyo) - its my first time to try a spicy drink. Im a fan of chocolate and have a high tolerance of chili but i didn't like them together. I wasn't able to finish it all. Sayang. 😂. I ended up drinking my friend's order, LOCAL HOT COFFEE. 👍 We also tried their SALTED EGG PASTA, it's good for 1.. tasted like salted egg but it would be much better if they will add Curry Leaves>>please. 😅 The ENSYAMADA - just an ordinary ensaymada.

So me and my workmate decided to eat here because it looks a bit small and the name caught our attention. The interior was amazing! Eventhough it is very small, It has a very inviting ambiance around it. The second floor feels like home, not to mention the mini third floor where there is large pillows that you can relax to.So we've ordered few items here to help us energize with the work.MASAGANA was good but a bit oily. Good thing they are freshly fried when presented to us.😃The CAFE LATTE is also enough for me to be awake to work. So much for that, I think I'll be coming here next tine just to relax.

Lovely coffee shop for a small group of friends or colleagues. Very well made desserts and breads. A good spot to have the Maginhawa experience.

Perfect place for dessert with your date. Almost everything on their menu is sweet. Although they seem like a place that serves tea, they unfortunately do not have tea. The staff were really friendly, accommodating, and polite. Interiors are very nice and they even have a place where you can lie down on the floor. They have wi-fi and many wall sockets for those who want to do their work here. They also serve entrees made from crocodile meat. Croc sisig anybody?Cons: very cramped (but good if you want to be extremely close with your date)The flights of stairs might make you dizzy.

Brought a friend who came home from Japan to this quaint little cafe along Maginhawa to catch up before we met with our other friends. I reserved the space on the third floor but it was hot. I think it's because of the workshop happening there at that time. So we settled for a table at the second floor where the AC was cold, but not colder than your ex's heart (hugot!). The drinks:We ordered their signature drink, Alab, which is hot chocolate with siling labuyo just so we can give it a try. It was HOT. If you are the type of person who likes things spicy, you should give this a try. I had a papaya shake which had what seems to be softened vanilla soft serve ice cream on top. The papaya shake itself was ordinary, if not for the vanilla topping. We also tried their hot coffee and opted for the Benguet kind. Surprisingly, it was better than what we get served at overrated coffee shops. The price:All three drinks costs less than Php300. They should raise the price of their coffee higher. The place:Cozy and quiet and cold (if not for the workshop). They have a spacious restroom that's clean. Lots of Instagram worthy decoration and #OOTD background ;-) Would give them a higher rating once I get to try their cakes and other desserts and get satisfied.

Located at the very end of Maginhawa Street on the Sikatuna Village side, you'll find a quaint little shop, Cafe Mithi. They're getting pretty well known for crafting. They have all kinds of workshops like macrame, calligraphy and water color. I like that the place is more like an apartment than a cafe. There are 3 floors; the stairs are a little steep. But, for me, it works. They offer local beans like most of the coffee shops on Maginhawa. They have hot chocolate made from local cacao. They ensaymada with chocolate dip is yum...because chocolate. The portions of the tapa in their tapsi dish is a little small for the amount of rice provided but that's really relative now isn't it?I'm planning to make a trip back to try the croc tapa because I've never tried crocodile before.

Café Mithi is a cozy place for coffee breaks, studying and calligrahy sessions. They offer Filipino coffee, a welcome break from the usual coffee shops found in malls. Their menu is also Filipino inspired using terms such as Halimuom, Humaling and others for their offerings. The Dulce de Leche Latte is good. If you want cakes, they also offer them. Try their Yema-Cacao Banoffee, which I really liked. When it comes to the cost, the prices are reasonable for their serving size.

could it mean Dream Cafe?Anyway, the interior of the cafe is eye candy: colorful walls and stairs, artsy decorations, creative layout. They offer mostly desserts but they also offer pasta and rice meals labeled with a pretty Filipino word e.g. Alab. They also offer croc cuisine. yes you read that right - crocodile (I asked them first if this was the endangered croc; they said no it's not that type) Presentation of food was artsy as well. Highly recommend Alab for its generous serving and nice kick.
