Mamanis manis yung pansit.akala ko mali lang yung panlasa ko kasi 2 kutsara na pansit lng kinuha ko...pero pagkauwe namin ng bahay sabi ng kapatid ko malapit na daw mapanis yung pansit...Yung gulay ng kare kare (okra kalabasa at talong) parang bato sa tigas...di mabreak ng spoon and fork lang. So sabaw ng karekare na lng kinain ko.Di na ako babalik jan :D

Epic fail! Food is so below average. Their binagoongan is a heart attack waiting to happen. No visible signs of meat just tons & tons of fat. WTF?! My mom ordered bangus sisig. What’s funny but tragic the food was cold but the iron container was hot, what gives??? Their supposedly bulalo was nothing but roughly chopped veggie tidbits in a cauldron of what looks like boiled water. Taste like yesterday’s soup drowned with water to make it look new. I’m still surprised on how people are continuedly fooled by false advertisement. Pathetic! Kare kare was so sad it just a thick goo of water flavored with instant kare kare mix. Meat that were supposedly ox tripe n ox tail was replaced with dark thick skin of I dont what what. It’s distasteful. Don’t let me start on the dessert. Fruit is over ripe. Their supposedly guinataan mais was thick but has something swimming in it. I called the staff attention they hurriedly took it away. Staff was ill prepared when they were removing some plates they simply remove it even when they already being offensive to the diner. They need to attend more seminars. Only saving grace was our waitress was a bit nice n a bit attentive. I wont recommend beware. Stay away.

Never eating here again!!!!Last time I ate here, na food poison ako.Sadly, di ko na-keep yung resibo so di ko sila nareklamo.**So Tip ko lang sa balak i-try padin dito, keep niyo yung receipt.

kulang sa kutsara, tinidor, plato, sandok, platito, tray, bowl, dessert, toyo, sili, calamansi, sarsa, mangkok, tissue. Amoy cr yung dining area. ano kayo chowking?

Spent lunch with a friend in here and we both concluded not to come back. The service crew can't even bring us a single spoon, refills take too long, and the dessert (sorbetes) is gone in a few minutes. The food presentation don't look palatable as well. Their Kare-Kare had all but 'twalya' in it and no real beef. Until I hear signs of improvement, I'll never set foot in this place again.

I am baffled as to why there's always a huge crowd here during peak hours. It must be the low price. However, even the low buffet price of P330 (don't believe the P298 sign--it's misleading) could not be justified by the quality of the food and the palengke-like ambiance. Food choices were extremely limited and weren't that good, just the usual carinderia taste. If you like veggies you might be satisfied (they have a LOT of ampalaya), but if you're a meat lover like me, you will be disappointed. The dessert bar was severely lacking, as well. The halo-halo was bland and consisted only of gelatin, pinipig, and sweetened bananas in syrup.I wouldn't recommend this place. There are better restaurants to spend your 330 on.

This is my 3rd time to eat at this restaurant Cabalen at SM Fairview and this was the worst actually for the following reason.Ambience- the place is small, crowded and noisy to think that we dine in on weekdays which is tuesday lunch.Food- We ate chicken adobo, menudo,pakbet, my mom and brother had dinuguan, those food was ok but just average. My mom said the kare kare is just pure "sabaw", the dinuguan was good at first but puro taba at the bottom. The pritchon taste days old already and has been reheat multiple times. The soup doesnt have any taste at all. I only enjoyed the pansit bihon puti and fried kangkong. Their maja blanca was superb but unfortunately it has only minimal serving. Cleanliness- the ice tea tower that we ordered for 199php is good but you will notice those talsik around the tower indicating that it was prepared in a hurry. Plates was not dry properly and sometimes not washed neatly.

First time here with my mother in this branch.. We enjoy the food and the ambience. But you need a lot of patience to wait for your sit since this resto is a buffet. Affordable price with good food is totally worth it..

I first tried Cabalen buffet at the Megamall branch. Of course it's an all Filipino dish buffet so I would say my first experience is just average.On one weekend, my hubby and I decided to try this branch since we live in the area and the place us always crowded and had a long queue in line.If my previous experience was average, this time it's below average. The food was almost empty on the buffet table. Not too many choices. Kare kare tasted ordinary.And since the place is crowded, it was difficult to keep going back to the buffet counter since the tables were so close to each other.All I can say is, I'm not going back.

My father wanted to eat kapampangan food so we eat dinner here in cabalen smf branch. I was excited because i thought therell be other food cuisine besides filipino food but i was wrong.The service was not that good. Theyre too slow and theyre not that approachable.We came here at dinner time and the food were almost leftovers from lunch time. Not much food choices too...My parents said that it was too different from the cabalen 10yrs ago. Lol
