Not really into sweets like my food trip buddies. The place was welcoming with a really cute menu chalkboard. We tried various kinds of pastries and the only thing I could say after the experience is: Diabetes. HahahaThe price is a little higher than expected. I might return to this place.

Cab Cafe is one of the homegrown restaurant from the Kapitolyo boom. It recently branched out here in Manhattan Garden in Cubao at the back of Four Seasons Hotpot City. It is a small cafe that serves interesting cakes, pastries, & sandwiches to pair with their local coffee concoctions. From what I've heard, they're the same owner with Cafe Bob in Bacolod, but I've haven't been to it.So we had 3 cakes and a coffee.Chocolate Carrot Cake. The carrot cake itself is a bit dry and crumbly. It's not moist as how I expect it, I also noticed that it wasn't covered in plastic after being sliced in the chiller. The ganache doesn't really blend in with the carrot-cinnamon flavor.Mango Pavlova. The main idea of pavlova is layers of thick meringue, layered with cream and mangoes. The meringue was soft, even the one on top. It feels like croutons thats a bit sticky and sweet.Blueberry Cheesecake. The cheesecake itself is dense, it lacks the light dense texture. The flavor was too cheesy salty. I didn't feel like eating cheesecake, more on molded cheese. The coffee was a normal cup of local Arabica beans that has a smoother flavor and light notes of dark cocoa as compared to Barako which has the strong bitter burnt notes.Overall CAB Cafe is a simple coffee shop that serve no fuss coffee and pastries. It just lacks the justification to call it for what it is.

This branch serves great meals (try the Sate Babe). However, the staff are very disrespectful -- not too mention REALLY LOUD. They treat the restaurant like their own homes and basically ignore everyone. All the waiters and cashiers stay near the kitchen to talk, so customers have to practically beg to get their attention. In a nutshell, good food but AWFUL SERVICE. They also serve so-so coffee.

A Bacolod-homegrown, Cab Café is the Manila branch of Café Bob's. Since this is my first visit, I tried their bestsellers choco crunchies frappe and white chocolate cheesecake. I know it's sugar overload for pickings, but both treats did not disappoint. No wonder this place is a Bacolod landmark.

Their exhaust was broken so the smoke from the kitchen filled the whole cafe. I stayed here for many hours and my eyes were stung by the smoke. My clothes also smells like smoke. About the food, i ordered iced latte and cherry yougurt cheesecake. The cheesecake is nakakasawa. The drink is so bitter. And it has so many ice. McDonald's iced vanilla coffee is much better and cheaper. I also ordered sansrival for take out. My siblings didn't like it a bit.

When I first tried their cakes I just had few nibble from a slice, and it tastes like heaven! We tried to have a slice of Pistachio cake and choco pistachio for the two of us, but we ended up unhappy. We cannot eat that sweet on our plates. Umaaaaaay!!!!! Plus my sissy paired it with that 'Bailey drink' which tastes like hell. Plus I lost my money in to that place which added my disappointment that day.

FOOD - I admit that the only reason I was here (countless times) was because of their cakes! It's to die for! I haven't tried anything but their cakes and I'm telling you it is YUM!ATMOSPHERE - This place is perfect for chillin'. It's also a great place to meet up with friends, plus their wifi connection is fast so that should be it. ;)4.5 stars!

Cab Cafe is one of the hidden new resto in Araneta Center. It is located on Manhattan Garden near Aurora blvd. Cab Cafe is related to the famous Cafe Bob in Bacolod.Upon entering the store you can see their wide selection of cakes.Aside from Cakes and Coffees they also offer sandwiches, rice and pasta meals. Price is very affordable compare to other coffee shops here in manila. One of the downside in Cab Cafe is that when you order hot coffee for dine-in, they serve it in a disposable cup. I really like the cozy feel of the store but I do hope they also have some good house music instead of radio music..If you want to be alone or hangout with friends, you should try out Cab Cafe.

I was too happy to finally find a cozy cafe in Cubao. Starbucks, Coffee Bean & J.Co are always too crowded to get some things done. It has a high ceiling and an ambiance that is very relaxing. We just ordered their cakes (price range P120-150) in Tiramisu and Chocolate Pistacchio. The Tiramisu was really delicious at first, but it eventually got to sweet for my liking. The Chocolate Pistacchio on the other hand was just okay. Maybe I'll try their drinks & some other dishes next time. 😊
