I don’t understand the high ratings for this place. (I don’t understand how website calculates the ratings. There are restaurants with 99% 5 star ratings and the website rating is 3 🤷🏻♀️ so go figure. Maybe there is a pay for play thing going on here?)We ordered laksa and spring roll. To begin with, the laksa had red hotdog balls. I’ve never seen red hotdog balls in laksa in a Singaporean laksa. The laksa has ground pork in the broth. So weird. And it had so much MSG that it caused neurological symptoms. The spring roll was not Singaporean at all. Yes there are many types of spring rolls but this is a vegetable and bean sprout fried LUMPIA with vinegar dip. Just what we would eat at home. Again 🤷🏻♀️Edit: the worst thing about it is I contracted a stomach bug at Bugis and I’m now suffering from a bad tummy. 🤮

Ang dami naming order and I love it. Di na pang-estudyante budget namin ngayon, and I think that’s what you call financial growth? Haha balik sa pagkain, the best yung cereal shrimp. Wag nyo kalimutan orderin yon a.

The place was full when we arrived and it sets our expectation pretty high. Unfortunately, the food are not as expected. The nasi goreng is like Chowking's chorizo Chao Fan. The soft boiled egg was cold, and we had to request for salt and pepper which are supposed to come with egg as the standard. Lastly, in the pic is the peanut sauce in the chicken satay. But the prices are quite cheap compared to more authentic indo/malay/Singapore food places here in Manila. Verdict, it's ok if you are just out to have something "different" to eat, but not if you are so particular with the taste. Buat org indo, jgn ksni...ga bakalan suka suerrrr wkwkwk.

We had Laksa, Ba Ku Teh, Char Kuey Tiew, Chicken Curry Rice, Satay Rice. All except for the Bakuteh 100% capture the Singapore taste. Service was very, very quick. The Laksa is to die for. I think some of the best in the country so far.Moderately sized servings. Rice platters are cheap, but good for 2-3 people only. The only slight disappointment is the Ba Ku Teh, couldn't taste anything different with the braised beef or the misua noodles. Everything else is 100%. If 4.5 were a score, this place would have it. 100% going back here to show with friends and family.

Try the laksa - the best here in Manila and very close to the Singaporean one! The Nomnoms are good too! You have to wear loose clothing here because you’ll definitely eat a lot! :-)
