Latin American food fare ia not something that I have often. Well, I loved Señor Pollo and so far have not returned yet but planning to. Brasas is one of thoss places in the north where you can have these food. Good thing when we dropped by, they still had an available table for us so we were seated right away. I ordered the Carne Asada Platter and it was good. The beef was okay, not tough yet not so tender but still good. The serving size was great because you really get value for your money. But I liked my officemate's Pollo Asado Platter more. I favored the chicken especially that it was much more flavorful for me. This is what I am going to order forme next time around, for sure. For the chimichurri, I liked Señor Pollo's better though. =)

This place has some good American food. It has less visitors cause people don't appreciate the Latin American genre of food. Went there in the afternoon tried the Carne Asada fries (190 Pesos), also tried the Brasas street burger (260 Pesos) and the Brasa Colada (110 Pesos). The average cost for a person is 600 pesos that is for one drink, one snack and one main course . The other things that are great to try are the Patacones (160 Pesos) or the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich (240 Pesos). The drawback about this place is that the food is too oily and the oil used is not that great, especially for the prices they charge ..

My boyfriend tried Brasas in Ortigas before, so when a branch in SM North opened, we definitely had to try it together and it didn't disappoint. We stuffed ourselves with food from different Latin American countries, and it was good to experience food from the region apart from the more available Mexican. I enjoyed the fries most, could't get enough of it, since it was topped with such good things: chorizo, cheese, salsa. Cuba's Puerco Asado with all the fixins was also really filling.

Latin American Streetfood is Brasas' claim to fame, and even if its taste isn't going to drive you nuts (because it's really fairly simple fare), it's worth a look. Their "must try" meats include the Carne Asada, which is basically a smoky and tender beef tapa on java rice with small side salad and chimichurri (a sort of basil sauce, but did i spell that right?), and the Puerco Asada, a softer version of pinoy lechon kawali save the pork's crispy skin all over rice with beans. Yum, right? Yes. But it's all that for close to 1000 bucks, and I could have a more "meaningful" burp with that much elsewhere. Still, the upside is that they don't scrimp on their food; your plate is full just like you'll be at the end of your visit.

It's my first time to dine here and food tastes great! The ambiance is nice as well as the crews. I can say that I'm looking forward to visit their resto again soon.
