Whenever I feel like I have the extra money to splurge with friends for good food and drinks, I bring them to Backyard. The Fishbowl Margarita is the classic group drink to get the night started. The Salted Egg Chicken Skin is the perfect finger food with alcohol. I ordered the Thrice Cooked Crispy Pork Cheeks and the Nose to Tail Fettuccine in my last visit, and the food quality was top-notch. It felt like a heart attack waiting to happen, but it was worth it!

The steak was bland and the mashed potato was at room temperature when served. Their only saving grace is the four cheese & truffle flat bread but it took a while for it to be served. We actually thought it was not ordered as we were already done with the steak and pasta when we remembered it and had it followed up. Absolutely not worth the price.

We opted to dine here because it wasn't as crowded. I was quite disappointed with their tinapa and quinoa salad. It was priced at P420 and the ingredients were scarce. I was hoping that it could be shared just like in other places, considering its price. The quantity of vinaigrette was too much since the ratio was not in proportion to the greens.  I was satisfied with the slow roasted belly. The spices used were perfect. It was tasty and had an aromatic flavor.

Wasn't able to try any food but the margarita fishbowl is sooooo good! (the drink I'm holding in the picture is just half of the serving, they didn't have a fishbowl daw kaya sa dalawang big mugs sinerve)

This is the loneliest slow roasted pork belly I have ever tried. :( 3 very thin slices that's not worth your money. And the coleslaw? I can't even describe how it tastes like.

Great food! I really loved their pulled pork bowl! Minor problem with the dish is that there were some pieces of bone in the bowl which I had to manually remove. But it's an easy problem to solve. Pulled pork bowl is now my default dish to order there.

Steak dishes were out of stock. The crispy pork cheek wasn't crispy at all, on top of that it was also bland. And the rice was also too dry. The 3 cherry tomatoes were very fresh though. The nose to tail fettuccine had a bad aftertaste, also wasn't served hot. The experience made it seem that the food wasn't freshly made.

We had the ribeye steak and their surf and turf. It was horrible. We ordered for medium rare and we received steaks that were overcooked on one side and raw on other parts. The potato mash had a weird aftertaste plus the cherry tomatoes tasted rotten. Their steak and prawn dish just had THREE pieces of tiny shrimps. I couldn't find anything good to say about this place.

Had dinner with the partner.  Place was occupied with university students.  We ordered the Chicken Salpicao and the Slow Roasted Pork Belly.  The Chicken Salpicao came out as a rice topping with a salty sweet taste.  The Pork Belly was only 3 slices.  Taste was good but comes out expensive.  Service was good.

The food was great; HOWEVER, service was very, very, very SLOW. I think our food arrived 45 mins. after we ordered. We ordered creamy Seafood Carbonara & Ribeye Rice Bowl. Their food is quite oricey, but the service is not commensurate to their prices.
