Been here a couple of times with my family. The food is great. Their pho bo and char siu banh mi are my favorites. It took a little while for my orders to be served but it was worth the wait.

Update:Management has reached out to me and has been very helpful in attempting to rectify the situation. Ba Noi's has been doing what it can to assist me. It may have been a glitch with my bank.I had become irate because the staff I spoke with was quite unhelpful, but the owner has been coordinating with me directly since last night and is going above and beyond to clean things up. Thanks Dodjie and more power.

UPDATE: Management was kind enough to reply to my post, and to take action on my problem points. I bumped my rating for them up by 0.5 point. We ordered the Bo Luc Lac and Ga Nuong along with plain rice, fried spring rolls, and their signature Vietnamese coffee. I didn't taste the spring rolls but the Bo Luc Lac and Ga Nuong were both really good (although I preferred the Bo Luc Lac more). The Vietnamese coffee (dripped black coffee with some sort of sweetener that you have to mix in yourself) was also good, though I think it would have been better if their servers instructed us on how pour the drink. My sister made the mistake of pouring the coffee in ice before adding her sweetener so she had a hard time mixing the two together. Based only on the food, I would have given a 4 point rating but I deducted 1.5 points because of the service. We paid for our meal in cash, and one of the bills we gave them was a worn out (though not at all torn or defaced) 100 peso bill. Upon seeing this bill, the server quickly told us that they did not accept this kind of bill, and she held up one of the crispy 100 peso bills we gave her to show that they only accepted that kind of bill. We tried to show and tell her that the two were of the same series (i.e. The new one, not the old series that BSP discontinued) but she still said that they didn't accept the bill, and that we should take the bill to the bank. She eventually called one of her co-workers who came over to our table and quickly sided with our original server and started telling us that they wouldn't accept the bill. We then showed her a copy of the BSP announcement on one of our phones, and pointed out that the bill we gave looked just like the 100 peso bill from the new series. However, she was still pushing that she would not accept the bill. It was only when the co-worker heard us out and looked at the poster that she (the co-worker) realized that we were right, and that the bill we gave was actually still in circulation. She then told our original server to accept the bill, and the two of them left our table very quickly. In all of this, I felt like the original server looked at us very condescendingly, and I felt humiliated in front of the people I was with. Also, neither the original server nor the co-worker (who I think was the manager) apologized for the mishap :(Hope to experience better customer service next time around :(

We had been here before just to get some coffee and had a good time then with good service, so figured we'd come back for dinner another time. The prices are quite high, especially for drinks. Aside from beer, they're all php120+. When we got the food we were somewhat disappointed with the portion size compared to what we're paying for it. Also strange how there's no rice with it by default, but luckily we had ordered that with it. I had a chicken curry dish, and while the taste was good... half of it was raw. Good coffee though.

The design of this place is instantly beautiful. It's very neat, clean and provides a relaxed atmosphere. Service was great and they had appropriate portions of food. I ordered the chicken banh mi sandwich that came with lobster crisps. Overall, it was a good sandwich although I thought it lacked authenticity. It definitely could have been executed better. My sandwich lacked the fresh chilies and that characteristic crunch and tanginess of the pickled vegetables which unfortunately is what makes banh mi sandwiches what they are. What they did right was the bread. It was a freshly baked baguette with a crusty exterior but a soft and light interior lightly coated with mayo. The seasoning on the chicken was delicious and reminiscent of chicken teriyaki. Which is okay for me because they use Maggi seasoning anyway. Other than that, it was a great sandwich with great taste, but again a far cry from authentic.

I'm a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine so I chose to go to Ba Noi's at UP Town Center, along Katipunan Ave. this week.I'd give a fair score overall. Service was generally prompt. Bit pricey overall. The ambience was okay. Their traditional Vietnamese coffee (drip coffee served with condensed milk) though was pretty awesome and well presented. It was the food that made me give a slightly lower rating (I'm usually very generous with my ratings!). The food was quite salty. The seafood crepe looked great but tasted normal, nothing special. We didn't order any Pho though I heard is pretty good here. The best thing I ate was probably the freshly made baguette (bread). If you've never had Vietnamese food, I'd actually recommend Pho Hoa (in Gateway Mall) or Pho Bac (in Galleria) for a more authentic, traditional and richer taste of their cuisine (where it feels just like you're in Saigon). If you're not fussed or have cravings and are in the area, then this place is okay.

Not really much to say about it but mediocre, and unfortunately, with a much more widespread Vietnamese restaurant competitor in Manila, mediocre will not do. I've tried their Cha Gio (spring rolls) and their Pho Bo (beef pho), and I liked the spring rolls more. That's not a good sign if you're a Vietnamese restaurant and I liked the spring rolls more than what should be your star dish. It was not that their pho was bad, but the comparisons with others cannot be avoided. Frankly, you can get a better and bigger bowl of pho elsewhere for around the same price, so there's no reason to go here for that. The spring rolls tasted nice, and their dipping sauce in particular was pleasant, and I would definitely welcome having them again.

#latepostHad dinner at Ba Noi's with two cousins, one of them suddenly so health-conscious recently... He insisted on dinner at Ba Noi's, where he enjoyed the Pho... My other cousin enjoyed their catfish dish... As for me, I tried the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong, essentially fried spring rolls over noodles... I liked it, a slight difference from my usual order, but still the same...😁 Of course, I ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee... Liked my "healthy" dinner...During another visit, I ordered their garlic bread and their best seller of stir fried beef... So good! Problem is, I like their Kapitolyo branch much better in terms of food quality, ambience and service!

Come here for beef tenderloin and fried rice! The beef is really flavourful, a little smokey, and melt in your mouth. Also, the fresh spring rolls are good enough. Kulang yung meat, pero pwede na.

My friend and I went here during lunch time, and we were happy to see they have a student friendly menu. Available from Monday- Friday, 'til 6pm. Very sulit with iced tea.Ga Nuong (grilled chicken), Ca Ri Ga (chicken curry) and Suon Nuong Xa (pork riblets) were all flavourful. It was my first time to try Pho, and I wasn't disappointed! We tried the Pho Bo (beef) and Pho Ga (chicken). Noodles were just the right texture, broth was flavourful but not overpowering, meat was tender, side veggies and spices were fresh.
