Azucar Boulangerie and Patisserie is located at the small street just across Robinson's Magnolia. It is hidden in everyones eyes, unless you see the small sign at the corner saying 'azucar'.It was a small neighborhood cafe that serves the usual cafe food. We had our after dinner drinks here and, as usual, I picked a few different items from the cake chiller to try their offering. They even displayed some of their coffee competition trophies like latte art and aeropress. I was abit disappointed with their coffee offering, when I asked if they serve coffee using aeropress (aeropress trophy), it was unavailable. Second disappointment was they have ube cakes on display but they sell it as a whole, they don't offer it per slice.I had their Reese's cupcake and Banana cupcake to pair with my latte.The reese's cupcake was made of dense choco cupcake that is filled with solid fudge or halfbaked in the center topped with some peanut butter. I only like the peanut butter part and the reese's topping. I find it not so chocolatey, maybe because the use of conventional chocolate and/or the sweetness of it destroyed the bitter chocolate taste.The banana cupcake on the other hand is better. It's not as moist as we can have on other stores. But its okay comparing to the reese's cupcake.Their latte's are the usual. Azucar, atleast in my point of view, should improve on their pastry offering that can highlight who they are. Especially they are hidden in peoples view and beside Rob. Giving them a 5 just because they let us stay even if they're actually already closed. Their caramel machiatto is a must try and just has the perfect taste while their green tea matcha is really not as tasteful as their other bevs. I just love that this is a haven not swarmed by people.
