Very misleading tag as this place is not vegetarian friendly.I am quite disappointed with my visit today since they had taken away all vegetarian dishes. The menu here in website is not updated.

I would like to start off by saying I am not fan of Vietnamese food. Lemongrass is totally not my thing. I pretty much like the place and the service is good but it's my personal taste that leads me to conclusion that I'd try it once.

    # of Visits: 2What I ordered:Pho Australian Beef CombinationSpring RollsIced Ca PhePros:(Pho) - Reasonable serving size- High quality noodles- Piping hot(Spring Rolls) - Tasty- Bigger than usually served elsewhere (Service) - Excellent customer service - Fast order-to-table time- Ambiance is reminiscent of HanoiCons (applies to pho only):- Not enough meat for the price- Disproportionate meat to noodle ratio- Not as authentic-tasting as I had in mindIf I'm having pho, I'd still choose Pho Hoa any day.But if I'm having spring rolls, I'd pick Annam every time.

The Pho Chicken was too mild and delicate - it felt like it could benefit from adding (or adding more of) non-spicy spices, lime, basil, cilantro, sprouts, and other things. I'd go here for the just-right serving size of the Pho Chicken, but would visit a trusty Vietnamese spot in Marikina for flavor. My favorite parts about our dinner at Annam is the Spicy Hue Australian Beef Noodle and the ambience. They have beautiful and spacious interiors. Outdoor seating is more low-key, yet, lovely, still. Inside, I was transfixed on the screen, watching clips about Vietnam, its people, food, and culture. On a different note, we noticed that servers like to group together in the bar area and do a lot of chit-chatting, and it seemed that our server lacked training as well. Our beef noodle was served with a different kind of noodle instead of rice noodles and when we asked her about it, she said that the dish was rightly served. We had to show her what was otherwise stated on the menu.

Raved about Annam last week, but im retracting my review and giving a new rating because of my disappointing experience today. My friend and i came back for the Bahn Mi and noticed that they had already changed their menu. I got the turmeric fried chicken bahn mi and my friend got the new salmon and creamcheese one.She didnt mind the salmon, but she liked the lemongrass chicken she had last week. She said that she found the salmon, cheese, and sauce too salty. There also wasnt any chicken pate on her bahn mi which disappointed her since our server said that there would be. Ps: our server had no idea what was in the bahn mi that he has to ask the kitchen and get back to us.I had the turmeric fried chicken bahn mi. There was very little chicken in it that i transfered all the chicken to one half of the sandwich. The was little flavour, and there were also BONES and pieces of the hard cartilage. Not one, but a few small pieces (see photos). I also bit into a long and sharp toothpick-sized bone that pricked my gums. It was dangerous.I told the manager, he was apologetic, but he didnt even offer to change my dish. I told him to tell the chef right away because sandwiches shouldnt have any bones in them and the scenario couldve been a lot worse. My friend and i left disappointed, unsatisfied, and a bit hungry since we both lost our appetites. We headed to the new york halal place to get food as soon as we left.Service was still slow (smae comment from my last visit). There were only 2 sets of customers for a while and the servers had their backs turned or nowhere to be found. Thank goodness for the attentive kitchen staff who called thier attention when we needed something. So yeah.. prolly wont be back here in a while.-----------------------------------------------LAST WEEK'S REVIEW:Wish i knew about annam earlier!! Found this hidden gem at the back of an Eastwood building - and they serve great bahn mi and pho!The broth of the pho was complex, and my beef wagyu slices were melt in your mouth. My chicken bahn mi had great texture, but there was too much veggies. The place was a little pricey for pho, but their food is worth it.Serive was slow. There were only 2 tables occupied, but NOBODY was around to ask for the things we need. Food gets snaps, but i wish they'd work on their service.
