Amber is well known for huge orders of their spaghetti, Filipino pancit, and pichi pichi. Prices are very reasonable, thus making it a party staple.I visited their outlet twice in Tomas Morato and wanted to get the feel of the place. Actually, the place looks really nice for an Amber outlet. It has a high ceiling and glass windows. I guess the place is still very new which makes the white wall paint palpable. The place looks pristine.I went to the counter and ordered the pancit Malabon, Spaghetti, Chicken Pops, and the Lumpiang Shanghai. Mind you, I did not order this in one visit. The Spaghetti is on the soft side, but this is how it is with pinoy spaghetti. It has hotdog slices and sweet tomato sauce + grated cheddar. It was your typical pinoy spaghetti. The pancit Malabon had this otangey color and topped with eggs and shrimps. Nothing special too, but they have the classic formula that everybody loves. The chicken pops and shanghai rolls were crunchy but I didn't really like it. The rolls were your typical shanghai but I've tasted better. The Chicken Pops were fried perfectly with it's golden brown exterior. It had a salty taste to it, but that's about it.The food here is very simple, but it's how it should be. It's your typical Filipino flavors that you may find in parties. It has charm and nostalgia attached to it that is endearing to every Filipino. I'd go for an Amber every once in a while, the food is good, the place is clean, service is ok, and prices are very reasonable. It gives good value for your money.

Ambers has always been our Office’ default restaurant when we have events, celebration or random burst of hunger 😂 and these are our usual orders:1. Original Pancit Malabon - must order 👍 the largest bilao is good for 20-25 pax. Classic merienda. Super hindi tinipid sa toppings. 2. Canton-Bihon Guisado - 2nd must order. The meat and even the veggies, hindi rin tinipid. May lasa yung pansit and hindi din sya dry.3. Spaghetti with meatmalls- 3rd must order. Fits the filipino taste, topped with hotdogs and cheese! 4. BBQ - Sinful but super yummy! One person can eat an average of 5 sticks 😂 It’s really that yummy. The meat is tender and was marinated well.5. Pichi-pichi - Perfect desert to end the day. Whether it’ll be niyog or cheese, the pichi pichi itself is already a win-win.Service: The operator, servers and even the delivery men are nice and courteous. But, I would have to comment about their delivery charge. The scenario was that I tried to order the above-stated dishes and asked for an official receipt. Then, on the same call where I placed my order, I ordered for a chicken lollipop and requested if this particular dish be issued a separate receipt from the first one since it’ll be paid separately but all the orders will be delivered in the same address and on the same time. I was told that the chicken lollipop is already considered a separate transaction hence I have to pay for a separate delivery fee which is 250. Then, another 250 for the earlier order making it 500 delivery charge for all the items considering that it’ll be delivered in the same address. It was frustrating that I didnt push through with the chicken lollipop. 250 DC is around 30 pcs or less of chicken lollipop already. Sayang.
