Let's K.I.S.S. (Keep It Short & Simple) review!Start!!!- Very clean  and almost homey like vibes- When it comes to food! As usual it always delivers when it comes to the taste departmen. :D- What we ordered was the Party Platter. It is said that it's for 5-7 people but camon. I believe the serving is for 7-10 people. I mean, it still depends on the appetite of the people with you but it's enough to fill the stomach of 7-10 people. Bang for buck. Value for money indeed.Must tries are:1. Barbeque! You are a fool-of-a-Took to not order this which made Alex known.2. Kare-kare3. Lumpiang ShanghaiThat is all folks!!! :D#Jacexperience---PLEASE LIKE or FOLLOW my ACCOUNTS!!! :D|FB| https://www.fb.com/jacexperience|IG| https://www.instagram.com/jacexperience|YT| https://www.youtube.com/jacexperience|website| https://www.website.com/jacexperience---Shoot me an email at jaceunbalanced@gmail.com for invites, product features, x-deals and sponsorships.

With the approaching holidays comes the much-awaited season of parties and get-togethers.  Pinoys, in particular, love to celebrate with food, lots and lots of it.  I recall my mom and titas slaving away in the kitchen, preparing their signature dishes for our family gatherings. While I’m passionate about food, I’m not too keen on stressing myself out in the kitchen. Fortunately, thanks to a website Meet-up held at Alex III’s Tomas Morato branch, I, together with my fellow websites, discovered that I can treat my loved ones out to a feast of classic Filipino favorites, thanks to its Instant Party Menu.

Shame on me coz I think I'm the one who isn't familiar with Alex III. My fellow websites said that this restaurant is legend in the neighborhood of Tomas Morato. From the same family who brought out Aristocrat, Alex III also caters sumptous Filipino dishes that would make our tummy satisfied and happy. This season of parties and gatherings here and there, we couldn't really think of something to eat. Alex III will give you options for party menu. Luckily, I was part of the website meet up who tried their food set.PRICE: P2,950 (Good for 5 Persons)SET 1* Chickeb BBQ or Pork BBQ or Pork Belly or Whole Fried Chicken* Special Pancit Canton* Fresh Lumpiang Ubod or Lumpiang Shanghai* Kare-kare* Crispy Pata* Steamed RiceSET 2* Chickeb BBQ or Pork BBQ or Pork Belly or Whole Fried Chicken* Whole Crispy Boneless Lapu-lapu with Sweet & Sour Sauce* Camaron Rebosado* Special Pancit Canton* Shanghai RiceAll of the sets are served with garlic peanuts, sushi sampler, and your soup (includes hot pot specialties), bottomless iced tea, and your choice of dessert (leche flan, pandan jellied tapioca, ice cream, bibingka or puto bumbong)My personal favorite was the Special Pancit Canton. Who wouldn't loved pansit canton? This is a staple food in every party. Aside from this, I also liked their Pork Belly which was tasty, crispy, and not too oily. The Sweet and Sour Lapu-lapu is also a game-changer, it's crispy and I loved how they made the sauce. I also loved the creaminess of Kare-kare - it's buttery and went well with the bagoong. Their desserts were also yummy, especially the leche flan. The ambiance of Alex III is very classic with homey vibe. The place is perfect for family gatherings that everyone will surely enjoy the comfort food they serve.

Alex III is very known in the earlier years, They were the pioneer restaurant in the streets of Tomas Morato. The first restaurant that can accommodate a big pax of people, it became a meeting place or a press conference room for the celebrities in the past. Don’t get me wrong I’m in the millennial era, My auntie is a regular customer before that’s why I know about these facts.

I can't say no to Alex III. They are my childhood shala restaurant. It's the best Chicken and Lumpia until now. These are must try when you visit this place. The place is very clean, well ventilated and the staffs are accommodating. and this branch have Catering or function room. They also offer party sets and group meals. Alex II is home away from home, very home cooked meals. don't forget to try these: Kare-Kare, Chicken, Lumpia, Pancit Canton, Crispy Pata, and BBQ.

Alex III has been around since the early years and they continue to provide excellent Filipino dining experience up to this date.  Known to be the first restaurant in Tomas Morato, they offer Chinese and Filipino comfort food to its wide variations of customers.  With the traditional way of making it while giving it more arousing flavors not just in taste but also the way it is to be shared with friends and family.

During holiday season, I'm having a hard time looking for a place to dine since almost all establishments were closing early especially during Christmas and New Years eve. I went all over Tomas Morato and my feet led me to Alex III, so I immediately asked the guard, "Sir hanggang anong oras po kayo?" And he replied "Hanggang 11:00PM po." So I hurriedly parked my car, "Hay Salamat!"The place was jampacked, I guess with people like me who hates washing the dishes after eating, LOL! So I immediately placed my order, Spare Ribs Barbecue (Php229.00), Goldi ordered All-Day Breakfast, Corned Beef Guisado (Php189.00) inclusive of drink of your choice, so he chose Dalandan Juice and my friend ordered Daing na Bangus, but after 10 minutes he was informed it was not available, to his dismay, he also ordered Corned Beef Guisado. Our food came after 30 minutes (maybe because the place was full?) We ordered Bibingka after, but it was not available, so we settled with ice cream and coffee instead. The ice cream was served after 10 minutes. Actually the waiter kept on coming back confirming if the order was correct, so I was wondering if he was jotting down our orders or just trying to memorize them. The only service I can commend was the attentive security guards assisting the customers on their parking, The food was nothing special. I was expecting (again) it will be at par with its origin restaurant. But still thank your for extending up to 11:00PM to accommodate starving people like me on Christmas eve.

One of the famed restaurant of the mid 80s and up to this generation.Alex III took pride of showcasing classic dishes of Filipino and different influential cuisines that eventually merged and incorporated to suit that Pinoy taste.Dishes that are known to the Filipino families which give off that traditional and homecooked taste.I was invited to be a part of this event to "SAMPLE"the dishes that are in their Instant party menu sets. These sets are priced at a very reasonable ₱2995 and it is good for 5 voracious diners but it can serve up to 6-7 depends on the degree of appetite.💕Set One 💕*Chicken BBQ or Pork BBQ or BBQ Pork Belly or Whole Chicken*Special Pancit Canton*Fresh lumpiang ubod or Lumpiang Shanghai*Kare Kare*Crispy Pata*Steamed Rice💕Set Two💕*Chicken BBQ or Pork BBQ or BBQ Pork Belly or Whole Chicken BBQ*Whole Crispy Boneless Lapu Lapu in Sweet and Sour Sauce*Camaron Rebosado*Special Pancit Canton*Shanghai👌Served withGarlic peanuts,Sushi Sampler and choice of soup(includes hot pot specialtiesBottomless Iced TeaAnd your choice of Dessert( leche flan,Pandan Jellied Tapioca,Ice cream,Bibingka or Puto bumbong)Dishes that were served:🐘*Pork BBQ - I liked the tenderness of the meat which can easily be loosened from the skewer aside from marinade and the basting on the meat, unlike the other pork BBQs around .🐘*Chicken BBQ classic Filipino style BBQ sauce on well cooked chicken meat, undoubtedly a favorite among both the older generation and the new era of diners.*Veggie salads greens , apple wedges ,turnips, cherry tomatoes ,grape halves in creamy hollandaise dressing*Special Pancit Canton - not the typical pancit canton which is oily or sometimes dry,I seldom eat this dish .But this time it's different this is the version that I liked, not dry ,moist has this sauce with toppings of vegetables like carrots, chinese cabbage, shrimps, straw mushrooms ,pork, fishballs (not the street food variety)and meatballs which is very similar of the version in my home.*Fresh Lumpia Ubod the egg wrapper was of good quality ,natural ubod was used as filling cooked well and its al dente🐘*Crispy Pata- pork hamhock marinated then deep fried ,making ot tender, crispy and nicely flavored. Its good even without any dipping sauce.*Lumpiang Shanghai- crispy spring rolls the traditional Filipino way,I liked that juicy meat filling.*Sushi platter - composed of unagi, tuna and tamago sushis.🐘*Kare kare Beef ,vegetables of string beans, eggplants, green pechay in thick gravylike sauce..What made it to be" a cut above the other Kare kare's" in town is that the ingredients were made from scratch and they did not made any shortcuts. The moment it touched my tastebuds I immediately felt and tasted that they used this toasted glutinous rice flour aside from the grounded peanuts of course as the thickening agent. As a person who knows the basic of cooking and in a family who loves cooking and you can easily recognize food or dishes that were given love and attention.*Whole Crispy Boneless Lapu lapu- having the principal component which is the fish boneless made it the dish glorious, crispy with splendid Tsinoy style sweet and sour sauce.*Camaron Rebosado - the traditional family favorite of shrimps cooked in their crispy secret batter.o🐘*Shanghai Rice I like the subtleness of the flavors that were merged with the rice.Very light taste you can eat on its own or be partnered with the dish of your choice.🐘*Sinigang Salmon sa Miso mustard leaves, bean paste( miso) ,fresh salmon ,tamarind as the souring agent.Refreshing and comforting all season dish ,there was no appary fishy taste which is a good sign in every fish dish.🐘*Hototay -soup with different kinds of meat ,I liked the light broth together with the wonton that served as one of the meat components.*Desserts of Leche Flan and Pandan Jello Sago.Staff and service are efficient and above average.I like the presence of some veteran and more experienced staff.Price to serving/quality ratio is on a high level, reasonable on both aspects considering the components made from quality produce and made from scratch as well as the amount of servings of food.Unanimously as my final impression on this establishment it reached my happy zone seldom in this day and age that I encounter such restaurant that didn't compromise the traditional way of making their dishes both the process and ingredients. It brought back memories of my childhood where my grandma cooked this dishes which a great factor for me.Good food ,friendly people and family nostalgia.***** All the dishes with the 🐘 symbols are my favorites,as food preferences are subjective these are only thru my humble opinion as I'm not an expert and will never claim as such*****#tseeboogASIANO🐘#simpleyetTRUE🦁🦁

I didn't know and I haven't tried Alex III before. The place is big, and spaces between tables are wide enough. They have a second floor which is spacious as well though it feels hot there. Ambiance seems intimidating at first but later on, it became homey!! It's a great place to dine with your family. Service is satisfactory and the servers are accommodating. If you want a more affordable yet 'busog' meals, I'll recommend Alex III's Instant Party Menu that's good for 5-7 people. The set is priced at P2,950.00 + . There are two sets available:Set OneChicken BBQ or Pork BBQ or BBQ Pork Belly or Whole fried ChickenSpecial Pancit CantonFresh Lumpiang Ubod or Lumpiang ShanghaiKare-kareCrispy PataSteamed RiceSet TwoChicken BBQ or Pork BBQ or BBQ Pork Belly or Whole fried ChickenWhole Fried ChickenWhole Crispy BonelessWhole Crispy Boneless Lapu-lapu with sweet and sour sauceCamaron RebosadoSpecial Pancit CantonShanghai RiceThese sets are served with Bottomless Iced Tea, Garlic Peanuts, Sushi Sampler, your choice of soup (includes hot pot specialties, and your choice of dessert )leche flan, Pandan-jelloed Tapioca, ice cream, bibingka or puto bumbong).Among the dishes we've tried, my favorites include thePork BBQ and Chicken BBQ, Crispy Pata, Kare-kare, Lumpiang Shanghai. The BBQ (Chicken and Pork) were savory, you can easily get the flavorful taste of the marinade at the very first bite. It was as tender as I'm expected on a BBQ. The Kare-kare is another star for me. I didn't get a chance to taste the meat but I like how thick their peanut sauce is. It doesn't even need a bagoong to make it tasty. The Crispy Pata is not disappointing, you'll get to the point that you've consumed what you got and you're still craving for more. The Lumpiang Shanghai is thick and stuffed!Isn't it obvious I'm a carnivore? You should also try their Special Pancit Canton. I like how the Camaron Rebusado isn't too floury. The salad is fresh. The bilo-bilo has a mild sweetness.Overall experience is satisfactory. I'll surely dine here with my family and try the best sellers. Thanks for the invite sir Alfred!

Alex III like its other siblings (Aristocrat, Reyes Group) is a fine example and reminder of what good Filipino dining is all about straightforward, unpretentious but done well with ingredients of excellent quality. For some reason I just only had the chance to re-discover this culinary institution recently and I was quite delighted with my recent find. In case you are like me, sleeping under a rock for 30 years and you’re just about to dine at Alex III, I recommend you try the following:1.) Any kind of Barbecue : You’d be foolish not to try the barbecue that started it all. If good barbecue was a sentient being and it wanted to trace its lineage roads would likely lead here. Think of their barbecue as the Genghis Khan of good barbecue (.5% of men in the world can trace their lineage to genghis Khan). Good ole tender meat marinated with the sweet barbecue sauce perfectly in sync with the Pinoy palate, grilled in a hotbed of charcoal.2.) Kare Kare - Ok for the record I don’t like sweet Kare Kare, If I liked sweet peanut butter I would just order a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The balanced nutty and savory sauce of their Kare Kare is why I am fond of it. Partnered with tenderized innards and fresh vegetables, this is a manifestation of what Pinoy comfort dining is all about.3.) Crispy Pata - Their crispy pata is certainly not the crispiest but I would have to say that it’s very tasty and has that melt in your mouth consistency. The flavor just seeps through from skin to bone.4.) Pandan Jellied Tapioca - I would have to say that I initially found this dessert odd but it grew into me with every teaspoonful of sweet delight. It’s like your carving through a hill of sweet pandan jelly only to be broken down into a thousand spheres of sweet comfort the moment you ingest it.What the best part is that their dishes are reasonably priced for the quality you get. I highly recommend you try their Set meals to get further value for your money if you’re dining in big groups.
