We were welcomed by their smiling staff and was ushered into a corner table of our choosing. We were there at off peak hours so the place was quiet and I honestly liked it, like we had the whole place to ourselves. Ordered the adobong pula and gising gising. As explained by their staff the adobong pula didn't come with soy sauce but with a special oil which I found just ok. Maybe I was just used to the home cooked adobo that my mom usually makes. The gising gising was a pleasant surprise though, the coconut sauce was yummy and the veggies werecooked to a crisp. Not too many seafood though. I counted 3 mussels and 2 shrimps and a piece of squid head. I would love to come back again, still intrigued about their other dishes.

Haven’t been to a restaurant that I’ll rave about for days lately and am glad a friend of ours recommended us to eat here. Alab offers Filipino food done way different. It has origins from provinces. Chef Tatung is brilliant and should be given attention for this masterpiece. Since we were a group of 7, I go to sample up to so many delightful dishes. Each viand I compliment while it munches in my mouth. All dishes stand out especially Dinuguan Longanisa, Aligue Rice, Monggo sweet version and their Honey Lechon!

It was a delightful trip going to QC and having to try this place for merienda. Impressed by the interior which appeared too homy. We tried their Okoy, Pancit Canton, Sapin. Everything was divine and delicious. They offer reasonable prices too. One of the true Filipino restaurants in the city that gets everything right.

After blowing my mind to smithereens with his Filipino Dishes at his restaurant, "Chef Tatung", Celebrity Chef Myke "Tatung" Sarthou returns to the area where his legend first began.. Quezon City. And just like the first time, his name baby, "Alab", is setting Philippine cuisine on fire with its inventive takes on home grown Pinoy food!

I just had to review this artsy fartsy restaurant.Wife and I are being adventurous for dinner and we saw this restaurant. Good ambience and concept is great. However, food is bland and underwhelming.Rice - cold. Real cold. And it's in a kamimeshi-style vessel. Still cold though.Sizzling Sisig - they might have forgotten the sizzling part even though it's served on a sizzling plate. Bland flavor and smells funny.Pancit Molo (soup) - redeeming food of the dinner. Really good!Overall - Alab tries to be artsy fartsy and they may actually succeed. Just fix the food. Not going back here though.

Long serving time, customer service needs to improve.Nothing special about the food, serving is relatively small. They have unique desserts and we all loved the bibingka cheesecake.

It was very timely that the neighboring cafe was having an event, thats why when we were situated on the terrace we were able to hear the live band playing in the background. I suggest you order the sisig! Best sisig I've ever tasted. It doesn't taste like your usual sisig. And pls do order their ice cream to. The kalamansi flavor tastes so good and so real. The ambiance was great, and the place was nice. Great for romantic dates.

Alab is a Filipino resto with a very distinctive taste. They offer food with a lot of fusion like the Pianggang--a Tausug inspired chicken dish, the kare-kare is generous in flavor and serving. The red adobo is very interesting & worth a shot. Sisig is 😗. Also, they have brown rice for those health or sugar conscious customers and it's good for sharing ! The other rice choices are also very yumm-a stand alone food actually.. But in order for you to break down the taste of each food i strongly suggest, eat them either with plain rice or brown rice.Overall, you will be surprised by how full you feel and yet you still have a lot for take out afterward. Something to look forward when you eat the next day at the comfort of your own home. Hehe.. don't miss their bibingka cheesecake it's ❤.The staff are somewhat damsel in distress which is both annoying & funny at the same time.😅

I don't know how I ended up ordering so much food but I must have been very curious of their offerings. I stumbled upon Alab after a visit to a dermatologist next door. They offer Filipino cuisine with a creative twist. They have Laing flavored ice cream and bibingka cheesecake. I ordered Molo soup and Poqui poqui. The meal was very good that by the time its dessert time, I was only able to eat a few bites of my bibingka cheesecake that to my surprise, a cousin had a hand in conceptuaizing the said dish. I have not tried the other dishes at Alab but I'd definitely try to come back for more. So far the Poqui Poqui was flavorful and heavy enough. Price per head is 500 - 800 pesos. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
