Our first stop on our website trip last holiday was refreshing. It was timely that the owner was present and he made sure our experience was memorable. He accommodated us well and gave us an ample history of his restaurant and more. Ahi Hawaii focuses on Poke Bowls. This fresh bowl is an influence of Japanese but born in the shores of Hawaii. Its basically your sushi placed in a bowl made more exciting. Interiors does remind you of Hawaii. Inside they try to bring you to Hawaii with apt interiors, photos and surf boards. It's homey and relaxing. When our group arrived we were also the only ones there. We got all types. Kobe named after the Laker legend in its yellow and purple look has mainly Tuna and Tamago, Ahi has Salmon and Tuna. We also had Nani and Ika. Am not sure which one had Spam in them but that was delicious mix. Kaomi was a favorite. It has Seared Tuna with an Asian-Carribean spice rub paired with crispy fried kangkong & mangoes, topped with parsley, drizzled with garlic mayo dressing, sesame oil and sriracha for an extra kick, on a bed of sushi rice. Each bowl is less than Php 200 and it gives you and me a healthier pick on the go. They take time to make and surely worth the wait.

I've tried plenty of restaurants in Maginhawa; I've fallen in love with some of them, and have fallen out of love with most of them. The quality of restaurants in Maginhawa seems to decline over time, but Ahi Hawaii is the rare Maginhawa restaurant that not only stays consistent, but gets better with time. I should know. I've been eating Ahi Hawaii's bowls and spam musubis since my first year of college and I have never been disappointed. It is hands down the best pick-me-upper after a stressful day at university. The ingredients taste fresh, the sauces are delicious, service is fast, parking is easy, and the staff and owner are very kind. Ahi is a must-try!

We visited the place few days ago. The place and ambiance is great. Very hawaiian-ny. I loved the collection of vinyls and the film 50 first dates playing on the TV. We tried out the Ahi and Kobe poke bowls as well as their doughnuts. We also tried their iced tea drink that i think was their specialty although I did not find it that special. I can recommend the place if youre into sashimis and sushi bowls. The seasoning of the fish is great and their special sauce fits well with the combination of all ingredients in the bowl. The doughnuts were good also. It was the lemon cinnamon flavor that we've ordered. I enjoyed the visit because while eating, im also watching a hawaiian themed chick flick that was playing on the screen.

Love the food, love the owners! Sad that the malasadas weren't available when i visited though. Overall, this place is promising, and I'm sure I'll be back

I went here since it caught my attention on the web having Malasadas and PokéBowls which are really famous today in a gamer's world since the 7th Generation of Pokémon Game was recently released and played by millions having a Hawaiian inspired atmosphere..however, Food talks more rather than the place, so I was a Really disappointed of how their rice toppings with salmon sahimi tasted so Bland and it felt That it was too expensive for a 185-peso worth of food.. i really felt incomplete...that's why I ate at another restaurant to forget its blandness.. Still hoping that they could follow my suggestions of having their steamed rice changed into WELL-SEASONED fried rice moxed with pineapples making it a warm pineapple fried rice topped with delicious cool salmon sashimi with sauce(whatever sauce that can fit the salmon).. Filipino people love International Cuisine with a touch of Filipino Cuisine and they should make the MUSIC Hawaiian rather than too much rock or metal or whatever music which do not fit on the venue...

Definitely an underrated place. Great overall feel and ambience, with Hawaiian elements and vinyl records decorating the inside. Had that classic Maginhawa restaurant feel: small tables, chill alternative music, and alcohol. Drinks aren't cheap, though, which was a little disappointing. Poke bowl was surprisingly nice and fresh. Good high-protein meal, with the ratio of fish to rice. Worth the price, especially when you consider how much raw fish and poke bowls cost elsewhere.

Great service, and really cute venue! We can taste that their sashimis were fresh and that they have a great amount of serving for an affordable price! Our favorite is the Ahi Bowl and although their price increased from 150 to 175, I think it's still worth a try!

Finally got the chance to try this place! Been wanting to since forever. The place is very quaint, with white walls, nice wood and potted plants, and lots of Hawaiian themed surfing pieces. I also appreciated the many vinyl records lying around the room (and they really play these tunes with the record player next to the coffee bar). For their bowls, we got the Ahi and Kobe. We also requested for just mild spiciness to give it some kick. Both were really delicious, but we preferred the Kobe more. For the price, the servings were adequate and I loved how the sashimi pieces were big chunks. Definitely recommend this place for chilling, having a meal and coffee afterward.

So I went to Ahi Hawaii last week to see what the fuss was about.. The ambience is really nice and chil but it's quite a small place. I ordered two pokeballs, the fish tacos, and the sinigang fries. The food was nice although the pokeballs I'm sure aren't for people who don't like sushi, and it's quite hard to take in at first but is quite good. The sinigang fries is just your usual sour cream fries but a little more sour. I really loved the fish tacos though, and I suggest people to try it if ever you come by there.
