We always consider this restaurant as a good place to hangout with friends and relatives. It is not as crowded as the other food stops within the area. This is our 6th visit in Agape. Because of their interior and ambiance, we immediately fell in love with the resto. Not until yesterday..After our food trip in Maginhawa St., me, my hubby and a cousin decided to go back here because we wanted to relax in their couch (they have a two sets of sofa on the 2nd floor) and we have other friends and relatives coming also. Unfortunately, the first sofa was occupied by a customer. The second couch was also occupied by Agape's staffs doing paperworks. Two girls were seated on the floor while they were writing and working on the receipts in front of them. So we occupied the table near the stairs instead. We asked the waiter assisting us if we can have the couch but said the staff were in the middle of their audit/ computing. So we waited hoping they will finish soon. On our second attempt ( maybe an hour or two later), we asked again the same waiter if we can have the couch to ourseles since they are just seated on the floor and it is better if they will work on a chair and table not on the floor. But the other guy told the the waiter "bakit, sino nagpapaalis?". That's when hubby's cousin asked the waiter if that's the manager he's talking to. Later we found out that it was the same waiter who called "last order" even though it was only 7pm the last time we visited the place about 2 Sundays ago. I think he's ill-mannered. I hope the next time they had a customer like us, they can accommodate simple request by vacating the couch area immediately because they have an office where they can do paperworks. I think that's the reason why they placed a sofa so customers can enjoy and relax theirstay. I hope someone from the managementcan train their staffs on how to properly handle simple request from their customers. Sad to say, we are not going back to this place anymore.

Love is the best feeling in the world, and you don't get to experience that a lot everyday in this  me-myself-and-I world we're living in. You sometimes think you already have it, but not really; then there are some who continually chase love throughout their whole lifetimes. But, I am thankful that I have what is called Agape. In ancient Greek, Agape means love and is the highest form of love. It embodies the ideas of brotherly love and charity. I draw mine from my family and my true friends. And we probably all know by now, that love in itself is a journey. A journey between two individuals, a journey towards self-love or self-knowledge and perhaps a journey to go after your life's dreams.

Not an everyday option but pleasant enough to actually spend a bit over your usual spillage for dining out. Their tartines are what I'd come back for.

A restaurant that was born out of the highest form of love - Agape.Complimentary appetizer: Pita with Spinach and Malunggay Dip - The pita is too thin to be bread, but not crunchy enough to be called chips, so let's just leave it at pita. The dip is watery so I found it difficult to scoop out, but I really like how it tasted. It's cold and sweet, and healthy at the same time.Green Salad with Pears (P150)tossed greens, spinach, black olives, walnuts, and pears, in citrus vinaigrette dressingSpicy Prawn with Papaya Salad (P150)tossed greens, black olives, shrimps, peanuts, and papaya in spicy honey lemon dressing- The two salads had a great mix of texture and flavor, but if I were to choose, I'd pick the latter simply because it contains shrimps. The different colors in it makes it more appetizing to eat, too.Their newest offering, their panizza, comes in four variants:Margherita Panizza (P290)Three Cheese and Herbs Panizza (P320)Gamberi Panizza (P340)Dan McCune Panizza (P375)Everything was delicious! Only thing about the panizza is that if you're eating with a group, you'll probably only end up eating one slice, so better order them all! Trust me, it's worth it.Another specialty of Agape would be their Tartines - open faced Rye bread topped with tasty yet healthy spreadable ingredients (served with side salad or fries). They have 10 different types to choose from, or you can go with a sampler instead. I personally recommend the Smoked Salmon BLT and Beer-Battered Fish, they're the best!
