Abdul the Cool opened its doors on July 26, 2014, and no, none of the owners is actually named Abdul. Haha! Isn't it a great name for a kebab place though? It's catchy and memorable, exactly the type of name you'd like an establishment to have! The interiors are pretty simple; wooden tables and chairs with green walls all around. Except for that one wall which one of the owners, Patrick, drew on. Such talent. As I mentioned earlier, Abdul the Cool offers authentic Persian dishes. What makes it authentic, you ask? Well, the chef is actually Iranian and takes pride in his quality cooking. If the meat isn't perfect, he won't cook it. It's as simple as that. He's also makes their sauces and yogurt from scratch, that's why their prices are so affordable. For me, dish of the night goes to their Chelo Kebab Chicken Tikka (P165)Two skewers of grilled chicken breast fillet, buttered rice, and grilled tomatoes But if you're looking to try an assortment of their kebabs, go for the Kebab Platter (P345)Four skewers of different kebabs and four pieces of pita bread with grilled onions and tomatoesOurs consisted of: onions, chicken tikka, beef koobideh, chicken koobideh, tenderloin, and tomatoesIf you order these separately, the tenderloin is P225, while the others are P165 each. You can even mix and match the latter for the same price. ;)They also have appetizers like cheesy beef nachos and hand-cut fries, but you can opt to go with the traditional ones like Hummus and Moutabal (P95/order, includes pita bread).Top everything off with their smoothies - I went with the Sweet Yogurt Smoothie (P75) and loved it!If you're looking for something light, you can order one of their many wraps or salads instead. I'm personally looking forward to trying those soon!In an area filled with hole-in-the-wall restaurants, this place shines more than the rest. Who would've thought we'd find authentic Persian cuisine so close to home? I'm so happy that I now have access to legit kebabs whenever I want, and they're pretty affordable, too!

Finally, a kebab place in Maginhawa! Price of food is okay, since it's comparable to other better-known kebab places. Their kebabs are definitely very flavorful and a little more spicy than others, which I like, surprisingly.

Definitely lives up to its claim of being the best kebab place in Maginhawa! There are 3 or 4 kebab places in Maginhawa and ATC is definitely the best one, and I really mean it!The price was kinda so-so but what makes it perfect is that every meal comes with unlimited servings of rice!We tried the tenderloin shish and it was REALLY TENDER! Effortless chewing plus it bursts of flavor! And the sauces (garlic and chili) are to die for!

Food is good I guess... But the resto isn't prepared for a Saturday. They supposedly ran out of beers. They could have easily prepared for that weekend eventuality.

When I learned about this place along Maginhawa, I knew I just had to try their kebab. Finally, I had the chance last week. It's located at the other end of Maginhawa. Thank God they have aircon since it was scorching hot that day.I had the Chelo Kebab Combination and my brother had the Beef Koobideh. We also had Hummus for appetizer. The hummus was not bad but it's not good either. It has the same texture as the ready to make hummus that can be bought in supermarkets. And we find the serving a bit small. But the kebabs were a different story. They taste really good. I love chicken kebabs but I prefer their beef kebab. They also have a promo for kebab meals - unlimited rice. We asked for another serving of rice but we paid 5 pesos for extra butter. And the prices for their meals are affordable. I really enjoyed eating here. The place is clean -the toilet is well-maintained. I guess I was so hunry then, I didn't get to appreciate the sketches on the walls. Staff were nice, they even gave complimentary candy when the bill was handed out.
