Serving a popular chicken soup (Tinuom) prepared in banana results in, Jeara's Tinuom gives you a local flavor. Close to the corner road likely to the Iloilo AIRPORT TERMINAL, you find a straightforward nipa hut cafe with this particular favorite dish, along with other Filipino meals. The eating place abouta kilometer from the airport terminal, a popular of travellers, employees and drivers. Best foods on a budget

I in no way knew what "tinuom" was until some close friends of mine invited me to the small native cottage seeking restaurant near Iloilo airport terminal in Cabatuan. They well informed me that "tinuom" had been an area and traditional method of cooking native poultry in your community. It iswrapped in a leaf (generally banana leaf) with all the current other substances (like onion, pepper, lemon grass, etc.) and steamed over boiling drinking water. The chicken liquid cooks all the components with it. Also it tasted yummy! An yearly "tinuom" festival is certainly celebrated in Cabatuan in Sept. 10 -- the feast time of the town's patron saint, St. Nicholas of Tolentine. That's when this eating place really will get crowded as everybody desires a taste of the neighborhood delicacy. The restaurant is fairly small. Nothing high-class. It looks similar to a "carenderia." Zero air-conditioning, too. Apart from "tinuom," it acts other grilled foods. We'd some grilled pork, squid, and barbecue, some new buko (coconut) juice, not to mention steamed rice. The area is situated just a couple minutes from the airport terminal. It has its parking space. Program is quick and the employees was very accommodating. We'd an extremely sumptuous meal for 3pax for just around Php 700.
