Wooden Spoon is another restaurant that brings Filipino cuisines to another level. Their menu is affordable and there’s plenty of food options to enjoy. My favorites would be the Adobong Kangkong with Lechon Kawali Bite and Pechay stuffed with Tinapa (smoked fish).- HANNAHThey serve good and classic Filipino food with a twist. One of my personal favorite here is their Kare Kare because it is rich in peanut sauce. However if you’re looking for oxtail, their Kare Kare is served using beef. Their Adobo Flakes is also a must try, even serving it with a garlic mayo dip. This restaurant is definitely worth a try!- JULIENNE Read full review on our official website: thebigbones.ph@thebigbonesph in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and website

I am always a fan of this resto, Decided to try the Kapitolyo branch. I like the homey ambiance here, the place is kinda far from the busy streets of Kapitolyo. Parking was easy for us that day. Still think they have one of the best pork binagoongan. Serving wise this is not a place for hungry eaters out there.

For once i thought this resto is ok but last night, when we dine in it's far from ok. I ordered beef sinigang that was not really hot and a salty lechon kawali. Maybe they did not pay attention to its quality cause their about to close.

Has always been one of my favorite restaurants. They now have a buffet lunch during weekdays... It would be unwise to pass this up. If you're in the Kapitolyo area, make sure to try this out.

We have been to the Katipunan branch for lunch with a balikbayan friend. It therefore came as a surprise that in comparison, the Kapitolyo branch is more spacious, like three times more, therefore making our dining experience that much more enjoyable. Parking space though is limited especially as I imagine it would be on their regular days. We went there in Black Saturday and we had the place almost to ourselves. The serving staff was very attentive, food was served in a jiffy. I enjoyed everything that we ordered but I was especially drawn to the Beef Sinigang sa Bayabas. Hands down it was the best-tasting sinigang that I have ever tried. So flavorful with a hint to lemongrass that complimented the sweetness of bayabas. Beef pieces were very tender, the veggies fresh and crunchy to the bite. If only for this dish, I would rate WS a 5-star. Rice serving was big; one order of Tinapa rice can easily be shared by three people. Altogether I would come back to WS Kapitolyo though I wish that the airconditioning will be much more efficient and maybe the restaurant will consider taking credit card payments.

Michelle had heard some reviews of Wooden Spoon, so it was on our list of places to try while in Manila. The Kapitolyo location was nearby us and we were easily able to find it. We ate lunch at an odd hour, but there were still others having a late lunch at the same time. The restaurant is decorated very much like home, and we liked the wooden spoon chandeliers. Prices are reasonable and each menu item has a blurb from the chef regarding the regional details and descriptions of the fusions of dishes. All the dishes are also quite large, and 3-4 people could have ate what we ordered. The Dinakdak Na Lechon was crispy and was an interesting dish, but not necessarily something we would order again. The Kangkong was delicious and had some heat in the spices. The garlic rice is delicious and a large portion. I had also ordered a Mango Shake which was a nice finish to the meal. I would love to come back with a large group and order everything on the menu to get a true taste of all the culinary creations from Wooden Spoon. Let's hope for next time I am in Manila.

Of the 3 branches, i like this place more. Homey and not noisy. When i ask for adjustment of taste, they'll give it to u without   frown. Price wise and satisfaction, this place is my another go.

What can I say, loving Filipino food. Food is great, we had an awesome experience. If you guys are planning a small reunion, this is a good place to crash. Parking is sufficient. There's a staff who will assist you. Parking is really hard nowadays. For Kickstarter we tried thr wansoy shrimp nuggets. Suffed pechay is tempting. Better try it! We also ordered Sigarilyas at daing and adobong kangkong. My personal two favorites; sinigang salmon belly and kare kare. The meat is soft and tasty. Never forget kanin! I recommend the fiesta rice. Good for 3 - 4 people. We also picked the tinapa rice. Good times, good food, awesome people to dine with.

We went there just last week during our team lunch out. We ordered the ff: pork humba, crispy fried chicken, lechon kawali, tuna sinigang, kare-kare and sitaw sa gata. The food was good but nothing extra ordinary. The ambiance is also good but the serving time is so slow. We waited for 45 minutes just to have all our orders served. Although, it's a lunchtime and the place was packed, they should have anticipated it and plan ahead of time. No, I don't think I see myself coming back again, well atleast for now.
