You don't have to go to Jamaica to like the food in Wagga Wagga. Why? Because just like the cozy and jamaican feel and vibe of the place, the food is SUPERB! One can really taste how well-thought of and good the dishes are. What I like about this restaurant is it's simplicity and unique taste of the food. IT DOES NOT PRETEND! Nowadays restaurants try to be different, but Wagga Wagga is just it! I highly recommend it to people out there who wants to getaway with all the negativity out there. Haha 😂 good vibes!

I haven't been to Jamaica, but if the food here at Wagga Wagga is anything liKe it, I am super grateful to whoever thought of opening one. The oxtail dish, super melts in your mouth. Their jerk chicken is really yummy. I thought the chicken would be spicy, but it's a different kind of spicy. The spicy that's flavorful and has a pleasant feel in the mouth, not just burning hot spicy. I'm the type who does not over analyze the food. I won't go all technical on the food. If it's good it's good. And Wagga Wagga is really really good.

Kudos to Chef Justin and his team! Awesome food and great place to hang out after a tiring day. Definitely one of the places to visit when in Ortigas!

Being a fan of reggae music, I just had to taste Jamaican food. The restaurant had a real cozy feel to it, the artwork was amazing and of course, the light reggae playing in the background was just to my liking.I ordered the double fillet jerk chicken and a patty, yes, I was hungry! The jerk chicken had a sweet unusual taste, and it was rather fatty considering it was a breast fillet, I just didn't understand the taste combination. The callaloo had a little spice which tasted yum with the plantain. The only reason why I'm giving this a low mark is cause the patties had both beef and pork mince inside, I don't eat pork 😡. Maybe a suggestion to the owners, please state what kind of meats are inside something hidden. If this is Jamaican food, I think I'll just stick to loving their music instead. But I won't shut it off completely, I'll go back and try their other dishes, maybe they would make my tastebuds dance.4/5 for the feel of the place2/5 for the jerk chicken1/5 for the patties (the pork gave it a low rating)

I was driving around the area looking for a good place to eat. When i saw this resto, I was like this is something new and maybe i should try it. To be honest im not very familiar with their menu then Chef Justin came to the rescue and told me to try their waga waga chicken and it did not disappoint me! I really love the flavors in it plus it has very a very reasonable price. Kudos!

It is one of those place that you can call....enjoying a taste that is not everyday and ordinary..it is this place where you can opt to find, something different and uncommon to your palate...although the main fare is about meats, yet the way they cooked and presented it, i will say, i will keep remembering, hence will keep coming back again to enjoy their servings..they have the best meat fares and side dishes, you should go and try them..

Brace yourselves foodies, Wagga Wagga changed the game in the Jamaican scene. This first jamaican-inspired restaurant will definitely satisfy your food craving adventure. Their jerk chicken is a must try. Tender chicken breast well-seasoned with jamaican spices will surely please your sense of taste. It goes well with their house made jamaican hot sauce! Also, the artwork feel brings you good vibes while digging into your food. A must go-to place to dine and chill in the heart of ortigas!

Speaking from a Jamaicans point of view.Place looked lovely, the mural is beautiful. My colleague told me about this place so we went to try it out. As a born Jamaican woman, this was something that instantly caught my attention. I ordered the jerk chicken, my friend ordered the oxtail stew plus hush puppies for us to share. Reading the reviews, a lot are saying this restaurant is Jamaican inspired. I saw most dishes listed on their menu not to be Jamaican, hush puppies that we ordered isn't one either. Now the taste review - the jerk chicken was nice, very filling but the taste wasn't captured. Maybe too much off an ingredient or lack of ingredient was added or missing. Jamaican jerk chicken has an entirely different taste to what I ate here. Although it was tasty, it just didn't bring me back to Jamaica. I would have preferred to have had it with plain rice rather than the yellow rice. Or even better, rice & peas would have been perfect (not offered on the menu). The beans on the side was a bit out of place as the plantain and callaloo were enough. I don't think the right leaves were used for the callaloo but if they're not available here then I guess a substitute was used. The oxtail stew would have looked better with bone on, shredding it doesn't make it look appealing but it was tasty, and again, Jamaican flavors wasn't captured. I'm not sure what country hush puppies are from but it was similar to what we call festivals. That was also tasty but not exactly a festival or a Johnny cake.Although the dishes didn't bring me back home, I big up the chef for trying. Maybe later on, he would get the recipes perfected. Good on Wagga Wagga for trying their best. One love
