UG has been my go-to place before I go to a very stressful work. This coffee shop is located at tiendesitas beside the noodle house and mercury drugs across tiendesitas mall near Transcom. UG has a perfect location to chill and relax when you are stressed ( like me 😁 ). Once you enter UG, you will smell the freshly brewed coffee and the sweetness of the desserts. The price of their coffee and desserts are reasonable. My favorite spot in UG is outside. They have 4 round metal tables where you can also have you coffee and eat you food. My favorite dessert is apple pie and my fav coffee is Caramel Macchiato and sometimes I also order the french vanilla or Latte. Their blueberry cheesecake is delicious as well. You muSt try their Tuna sandwich with Potato chips! UG is a perfect place for birthdays, reunions as you can reserve some tables in advance for special occasions. They have black board outside to let their customer know their specials and reserved events. The staffs are also nice and very welcoming. If you're waiting for someone, they also have some magazines that you can read. I guess the place is also perfect spot when you want a quiet place for reviewing.

We just had our lunch here today. If you're not familiar with the place, you might miss it, really. I ordered their Pesto and Choco Hazelnut Coffee, while my friend had Carbonara and Mocha Coffee. The interior looks thought out, but had a bit of a gloomy feel. I don't think their AC was working, though. Okay, so the food. Their pesto comes with 4 pieces of toast. The toast was not even hot. Not the best pesto I've tasted in my opinion. I really liked the Choco Hazelnut Coffee. It's got this marshmallow-ish whipped cream on top! It was sooo good, highly recomended. I wasn't able to taste the carbonara, but my friend asked for more parmesan, so I'm thinking it's bland. So there. I might give UG a second chance for redemption. But until then, really nothing special.

FOOD : So I had their Irish Cream Frappe and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I love their drink actually. It is not that sweet yet the coffee flavor is strong. While the Chocolate Chip Cookie is also good.SERVICE : Good service. The staff are all well-groomed but they aren't smiling.AMBIANCE : It is kinda dark inside the shop itself so I chose to stay outside the shop.

This is already one of my favorite coffee shops! I love it's serene atmosphere due to the dim lights. It's not crowded and noisy unlike other famous coffee shops. It's nice and clean with it's urban vibe but has a calm atmosphere.I ordered small size white choco macadamia (115) hot coffee. The sweetness is just right with a hint of nutty flavor. Affordable coffee it is! Oh by the way they have a decent wifi connection which is perfect for working. This can also be nice a place for studying. I may now find myself here more often! Next time I'll try their food.

This cafe is new to me when I first worked in the vicinity. I was curious so I tried it but I ended up eating here every now and then. It is a tenant of the kid's mall I work for making it convenient for me to visit their place. I love how quiet the place is, though upon entering y ou will also notice that their lighting is a bit dim.  They also have magazines for you to read, sockets for your laptops and some even conduct small group discussions. We often call this place as Urban G. I love how high the quality of their cakes. They also offer a variety of cake and pastry flavors every week but for me, their blueberry cheesecake (Php 110) is the best! The very best! During thrifty days, I will buy their revel bar (Php 55), it's somewhat pricey but the taste and gooey chocolate oozing from it justify its price. They also offer pasta and breakfast. My all-time favorite from their pasta selection is the Carbonara with lemon and wheat bread (Php 155). It's very creamy and a squeeze of lemon juice adds flavor to it. A triple decker from their sandwich selection is our team's favorite. It's a healthy snack version of the famous clubhouse because of the wheat bread. They sandwich is also abundant in lettuce and tomato. The best thing is that it's paired with potato chips on the side. For Ice Blended drinks, I recommend trying the Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. I love its bittersweet flavor which blends perfectly to the whipped cream. It is topped with chocolate syrup and some chocolate bits.I really miss this place and I hope they will open a branch in some places as well. It's very recommendable especially to cake and coffee lovers.

UG has been my favorite coffee shop for a few months now. Well it doesn't have artisinal coffee or any of the now famous specialty coffee. It in houses the traditional wave. But what really keeps me coming back here is the place. It's a hidden gem! For me specially I like spending some time alone with myself writing and/or reading and this is a perfect place for me to do that every now and then. My favorites are irish cream over ice and the white chocolate sansrival. I also like their longanisa and corned beef bun thing.❤❤❤

A very nice coffee shop. It's quiet and it feels kind of like a secret shop. Just because not a lot people were there when we went in. It's a great place to study and just chill. The coffee there is good too and the price on everything is not that bad on the wallet.

This is a very nice and cozy cafe! :D I immediately liked the place when I entered. They have very cute cloud-looking wooden tables! The staff were very nice too! I asked what their bestseller was and they recommended the Irish Coffee Latte! Very happy I listened to them! It was delicious!!!I was also very surprised with how much my coffee was! In general, their prices are very affordable! I hope it stays that way.Their internet was unreliable during my visit. That just means... talk to your friends and enjoy human connections more than online one! 😝UPDATED (November 27, 2015)The internet is still weird. It's just such a complicated way of getting internet. Because of that, I like going here when I need to study. I get to focus cause the internet won't distract me.I tried their Choco Peppermint and it was pretty good too! Not too sweet with the right hint of mint.I've had my eye on their Creamy Lemon Pasta for some time. Finally got to try it. It was served with lemon and toast. I tried the pasta on its own, without squeezing the lemon, and well... it didn't taste like lemon. I squeezed the lemon and that was the only time it actually tasted like it. So that was a little weird that you have to add the lemon taste to the lemon pasta. It was good though once i added the lemon I wanted. 😂

Urban Grind is one of my favorite picks. I love the ambience, it was kind of private. I am happy that it's not too mainstream, unlike the other coffee shops where you're going to have a hard time looking for seats since it's too crowded. We had ice blended drinks. As much as I could remember we ordered Mocha, Vanilla latte, and the other one called Irish, I think that's the one with a little dose of alcohol with it. We also ordered Strawberry shortcake, the serving was big so you can have it shared and it was so yummy! 🍰😍Overall it was a good experience, and we'll definitely go back! Ta! ❤️

I study here pretty often and I like it. More quiet and less crowded than Starbucks Silver City, and I never have a problem getting a seat. The groups who frequent this cafe usually come from CCF and do Bible study so they're generally not noisy.I've only tried the iced latte and Irish cream and I like both but may be on the sweet side (if you get the latte sweetened). The cakes and pastries come from Purple Oven, I think, so they're good too. I like that they sell chips haha but if you want a meal they offer pasta, rice meals, and sandwiches. I've tried some of the pastas and they're pretty good but the carbonara is kinda sweet so I suggest the pesto or lemon...something (lol sorry I can't remember the name right now, I'll edit this when I go back). I think I tried a sandwich once but I didn't like it that much.Anyway I recommend this place anyway to people who wanna study or work. There are some plugs around and though it can look a little dim you can choose seats that have better lighting.
