Uncle Moe's Shawarma Hub is famous for its affordable kababs (perhaps half the price compared to its counterparts) which is why there really shouldn't be much to complain about. However, for the purpose of an honest website discussion, the grilled ground beef too thin which tends to dry up the beef almost immediately. Good thing that their garlic sauce has no extra charge here (which is the same for kabab places everywhere actually). There is also no option to have beef tenderloin instead even if one is willing to pay extra for it.People are fond of the Big Schoop ice cream cups they are selling. To those who want to visit Big Scoop and try more flavors on a per scoop, pint, half gallon, or even on a gallon basis, they have their own store along N. Domingo in San Juan.

UNCLE MOE’S IS THE BEST NO DOUBT. Kofta balls, ox brain, kebab platter forever. They have the best sauces too. I started eating at moe’s since i was 12. I’m 21 now and they’re still the best for me 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Affordable shawarma and ice cold beer! The staff is not so uptight when it comes to sauces, unlike other Shawarma places (Ahem). Keema and kebab are also good offers!

Uncle Moe's has dethroned Mister Kebab as my go-to place for kebabs. Generous servings, fast prep time, and of course DELICIOUS food. Personal faves are the chicken kebab and the eggplant moussaka.

2 out of 5Not coming back. I ordered special beef shawarma worth P200+ and i was surprised that it was really small (even smaller than turks shawarma) Not worth the price, portion, and flavor. 👎🏼 #ZReview

Via the delivery app, Honestbee, Mia and I had quite a satisfying dinner last night. Portions were impressive vis a vis the price. For the 5 items we ordered, we just paid Php 705. Ox Brain was really good, especially when dipped in pure calamansi. It had nice mushy texture, its taste uniquely delicious. The Kebabs, Chicken and Beef, were both moist but could use more seasoning. Its sauces, garlic and hot sauce were good. The Chicken Shawarma, on the other hand, failed our expectations. We thought they would do it so well given that their establishment is the authentic Mediterranean. It was so dry and bland. Hummus, our favorite was gone too fast. Uncle Moe’s did a superb job putting this one together. My only complaint was its portions, I think they should give more.

My go-to Uncle Moe's is in Maginhawa. It's my Middle Eastern comfort food. The meat itself is flavorful and gives you a happy vibe. The yogurt sauce gives it an extra happy vibe.Although City Golf is out of the way for me, I happily stopped over for lunch here during a round of errands that brought me around area. I expected the usual Uncle Moe's that I've been familiar with. However, the City Golf branch was a nice surprise. The beef in the Shawarma rice was very chunky and it was a generous serving. The Kofta balls were swimming in a nice sauce, and if you really like the sauce, you can have it with your pita bread or rice. I'm usually the type of person who likes my sauce on the side because the sauce usually overwhelms the taste of the main ingredient, but I didn't mind it at all with the Kofta balls. The flavor of the sauce didn't overwhelm the meatballs. It had the right balance of sweetness and zest from the tomato. The cheese in the center of the meatball nicely neutralizes the meatiness of the meat with the tomato sauce. The ox brain is the usual goodness, like that of the yellow part of the balut, that melts in your mouth. The place is located near C5, but on a lazy afternoon you can sit on the balcony and it's a perfect setting for sitting and watching the day pass by.Overall Rating:Taste: 5Creativity: 4Ambience: 4Service: 3.5Value for Money: 4

On sneaky Friday nights when you just keep going back to your old bad habits that just won’t die, you can resort and hide at City Golf. Since most nightlife luminaries who frequent Ortigas often goes to Metrowalk or Ortigas Home Depot, there is less possibility of bumping into a familiar face here, which just makes sense if you want a breath of fresh air, if only just for the night.Along with a few bottles of beer, we ordered the following:Keema with Pita bread - My ultimate favorite from Mister Kabab. Keema is ground beef sauteed in onions, and sometimes drizzled with curry. In Uncle Moe’s, there is no trace of curry taste. It was purely sauteed ground beef that is best with yogurt sauce (or perhaps, the yogurt sauce is necessary). Good cooking, but I still like my old favorite.Moussaka Melt with Pita bread - This dish sounded new to us. But with its inviting description, we decided to order one. The look and feel was ala-Lasagna. The Moussaka Melt is ground beef and eggplant in tomato sauce baked with bechamel and cheese on top. It’s heavenly, but sickening towards the middle. Pita bread is a MUST.Kofta Balls with Pita bread - Another peculiar dish to try is Kofta Balls which is still ground beef kebab stuffed with cheese in tomato sauce. There’s nothing to “dislike” in this dish, it’s always a WIN — the beef kebab, the cheese, and the tomato sauce. And although the dishes may each be partnered with Pita bread, each one also perfectly fits with beer!

I used to get their beef kebab with rice, which I really like. Yet, I discovered just recently that they have the best all-beef shawarma in town. The meat cuts are like the cuts in "lechon baka." The meat was seasoned perfectly with the spices bringing out the intensely beefy flavor of the meat. While the meat is around 80-20, with the latter being the amount of fat, it isn't as guilt-tripping as Turks as it is still generally less oily. The shawarma comes with white sauce and spicy sauce which are both delicious. It would help if they would also offer additional cheese. The pita bread is a bit small, but it is super-filled with a lot of tasty and delicious beef.
