There food is superb and affordable specially our all time favorite quesadillas a must try! Savory beef with scrumptious pita bread and delish garlic dip.

Our desire to stuff ourselves till we burst brought us to our last Gastro Park Kapitolyo food discovery, The Masala Bar. This stall didn’t have a long line when we spotted it. (The ones with long wait are the milkshake stall and SurFries.) It didn’t cross my mind that the store might offer mediocre dishes hence the lack of foodies lingering in front of its store. I just wanted to maximize my Kapitolyo visit. Hello, The Masala Bar!We got the Chicken Tikka Quesadilla (PHP120) as it is easy to be shared and it sounded light, giving us room for drinks or dessert. An order comes with pico de gallo and garlic dip.The server told us that they will just serve the quesadilla to us. We just have to inform them of where we’re seated. Our order arrived in about 10 minutes and it was served warm. I dipped my slice in the garlic dip and topped it with pico de gallo and… it was still bland. I had to sparingly drizzle more garlic dip as I was sharing it with my friends. I am not sure if we ordered pita with pico de gallo and garlic dip or chicken quesadilla. I could not taste the chicken or any of the other ingredients. Perhaps they were almost out of ingredients when we placed our order? I have no idea but I’ll buy from the other stalls next time.Note: This review was made for my February 19, 2016 visit. One of the owners got in touch with me and said that they were still in their testing stages that time and are more confident with their offerings now. I guess another visit is a must.

Having tasted masala food before, I was expecting a hint of it to be found here. Ordered the beef masala with rice. The good thing about it was it had a good level of heat to it and it's served with an herby salsa. I'm kinda disappointed that it didn't bring on the rich spice flavor mix that masala is because it tasted more like cumin-laced kaldereta. This might appeal to a lot of Pinoy palates but not mine.

Their Quesadillas are amazing. I personally prefer their Beef Masala and Chicken Curry, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The service is pretty fast and this is probably the most value-worth option in GastroPark. This is a cheap fix and a GastroPark must-try!

I tried Beef Quesadilla from Masala few weeks ago. I must say it tasted good but I don't think I'll order it again as I find it too greasy.
