The only item worth eating in this place is the chocolate lava in a cup w/ ice cream. No wonder their outlet closed in Sto. Domingo (QC). The dishes the server recommended to us were all blah.

We ordered carbonara but the taste was just average. The chocolate french toast combined with strawberry was likewise weird to the taste. Ambiance was the only aspect worth mentioning here.

Slow service. Kinakatay pa yata yung baka and hinaharvest pa ung rice for the beef tapa. Understandable if there were a lot of customers, but only two tables (with two persons each, total of 4, including us) were occupied. Taste-wise, passable. Nothing unremarkable. Just okay if you want to satisfy your breakfast craving.

TBC offers a lot of promise with their befitting presentation of food and interiors but somewhat falls short by not focusing on the major points that make restaurants worth coming back to. Pros: bright, well lit interiors, food amply plated focusing on what I think is important about plating (actual consumption, then presentability, focusing on the former rather than the latter) Of fair quality: Food quality was also okay. I had trio cheese omelette and my gf had beef tapa. Its not something unique however I would say, compared to other breakfast places. Regardless, I consider it a pro still given the price/quantity/quality ratio which I perceive is fair.Cons: Service:vat and sc as per the menu is already included in the menu price. While that I seem is a big plus, I dont see the reason why our food was served around 30 minutes after we ordered it, given that the restaurant only had two seats filled with customers (aside from us)Coffee: the coffee tasted rice-y (lack of a better term) and not coffee-ish. I would normally expect coffee from a breakfast place to be good, but this wasnt the case.Kitchen sink positioning: there is one kitchen sink positioned behind the counter. Directly beside the sink is a dining table for customers. Initially I thought it was cool, seeing how nice the kitchen sink faucet looks. Then, the staff started cleaning small dishes (saucers, dessert forks cups) in it. Big dishes still seem to be washed inside the dirty kitchen. However, I still found this awkward because I was actually sitting on the table located beside the sink. It was awkward for me to eat while someone is actually cleaning dishes a few feet away from my face.Overall ambiance: despite the plus points in the interiors, the restaurant fell short in coherence with its overall theme because of their pipe in music. When we went there grunge /nu-metal music was actually playing through their speakers. Though I really love the said genres, them being in circulation on my radio during car drives, I felt that playing these songs ruin the farmhouse like feel of the interiors. It would have been best to hear more subtle tones, or if an edgier sound is desired, something in the likes of bebop or fusion music in my opinion would have been more appropriate.

I was curious about this resto becoz i think its owner is erich gonzales and was featured in kris tv. I wanted to eat at french baker but i said ill try tbc pioneer so i can have another resto i can frequent if the food is great. I first ordered the burger for 350 pesos. The server returned to informed me that it wasn't available. That raised my suspicion already. I did not want to eat rice meal so i opted for the club house sandwitch, cream of corn, and iced tea.The crab and corn soup, to my surprise, tasted like the knorr corn and crab mix. Im 99.9% the item served to me is that sachet mix. What a shame coz its php 150 i think. The special blended iced tea tasted like canned mix iced tea but the menu said its a special house blend. Damn! They really exercise false advertising here. I had one bite of the club sandwitch and I told my wife that she can throw the sandwitch in the trash. Dont bother taking my left over home. The weird sauce, decorativity drizzeled over the sandwith tasted like no known food taste except salt. I left the whole sandwitch on my plate and had to go to starbuck to meet someone. I was spared getting irritated with these kind of food serving and leaves me wondering if the people running the resto have any sort of taste buds. How can they charge people with these awful food. The "special" house chips that came with the sandwitch was dripping with oil and soggy. The menu said special house chips. My wife ordered the bangus. It had flour coating and she didnt even bother finishing it. It came with hot chocolate which looked like dark brown paint and when i tasted it my taste buds got confused. Where is the chocolate it this drink! I had never been so dupped by a restaurant as much as this one. I usually say about bad restaurants that i will never come back to it but this one made me say i wish i never entered that restaurant. I left thinking anout the good club house sandwitch that french baker serves. Have some shame and close this resto as soon as possible or fire all the people that has anything to do with your menu. Get a decent chef and overhaul your menu including its price. Its too pricy. @
