For fear of getting caught in the traffic, I left QC more than two hours earlier. Surprisingly, there was no traffic that morning so I just asked the driver to cruise along, to kill time. Until I found myself in Kapitolyo, Pasig. Consulted website and ended up in Brixton Street. Then, I remembered my BFF telling me of this Sultan restaurant. So-so, she answered when asked about the food. Which made me more curious, so instead of avoiding it, asked Waze for help.It wasn't a difficult search. Turned Waze off, parked and got down. The restaurant wasn't open yet so I walked around the strip profiling the other eating places in the area. I walked back and asked to be admitted since it was already 15 minutes past their (alleged) opening time. The restaurant looked clean maybe because it was still morning. It smelled clean, seemed clean and that for me is a big plus. While allowing my eyes to roam around, comes this chubby lady, smiling and humming with the music playing and handed me the menu. Jolly servers are another plus in my book. Poured water and waited for me to make my mind up. My Baba Ghanouj with pita came first and waited for my Beef Kofta (my favorite). It didn't take them long to bring my order (I was the only diner at the time!) whose smell was wafting through the air. Took some pictures, as is the usual, before attacking. For one, the Baba Ghanouj was, to use the menu's warning... "was highly addictive." It was. And so was the Beef Kofta (hmmm... on second thought, it was a little lower than highly addictive). The pita was soft and warm, the way I like it. I finished everything. And wanted more but had to stopped for I was scheduled to have a working lunch meeting in a few minutes.Question: Am I doing a revisit? Answer: Is Trump a dumb American?

We ordered  Tikka Masala and Beef Kheema to-go. Serving is just too small for Kheema. Tikka masala is ... it doesn't look or taste like tikka masala.. at all. very disappointing.

Just had dinner at this place earlier. I have been a patron since their other branch in Makati opened. If you are new to this restaurant, the menu might get a bit overwhelming due to the lack of pictures, but fret not! My go to recommendation is to get the Regular Kebab Plate (Beef) at P250++. A single stick of kebab at this place is already filling for a 180-lbs male person (me). If you go for the Special Kebab Plate (1 kebab and 1 koobideh), i would not stop you but you are already pigging out (no judgment from me).Regular Beef Kebab Platter (250++) - The beef portion is very generous, i don't imagine a regular person complaining about this. Flavor-wise, they are seasoned well. Their beef kebabs are not your ordinary salt and pepper grilled beef, they have a flavor that is hard to explain, i can only describe it as mediterranean flavor (if that makes sense). The rice quality is very good, i have not upgraded mine to Biryani/Basmati, just the regular rice will do. It will also be a mistake to order extra rice in this place because they are very generous in their portions. The chopped onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers are welcome additions. Currently rating this restaurant 4.0 stars, good quality food for its price point. I would easily bump this to 5.0 stars if they can improve on their sauces (very important), the white sauce does not have a strong profile, lacks in yogurt and garlic flavors, while the red sauce is not at all spicy and does not have an acidic component to it. In general, their sauces have played it too safe. If this restaurant has the recipe for the garlic/spicy sauces of Halal Guys, then i would even rate this 6.0 stars if i could.

...the sultan's moussaka and the chicken tandoori are a must try. they serve good mediterranean cuisines and offer a reasonable wine selection.. the place is spacious and convenient, with ample parking, well worth a visit if one is in the area #sultangrillph

Nice location near my favorite supermarket. The Greek Salad was mixed with lettuce, not good. The vegetable mousak was served piping hot looking like a lasagna. It was delicious. The Biryani was a total disaster, it was served cold and does not have any taste at all. I think they forgot to season it. The assorted grills looked nice but the meat didnt taste fresh. The mango lassi was yummy but too thick. Sorry i am not going back.
