Price is a bit on the high side (most high quality authentic Japanese restos are anyway) but this is one of the best ones in Ortigas CBD in my opinion. Two thumbs up! :)

A real legit japanese restaurant in Ortigas BD! Had the sashimi gozen which is a set menu and it was really worth your money! My companion had the sushi gozen and he was all too happy with his order. The servers were also attentive and helpful as they try to elaborate the listed dishes on the menu. The ambiance is good as well you can have a good and relaxing meal with your friends or even have a casual business meeting over food.

My first trip to Manila and I was in the mood for authentic Japanese food for dinner. Came across Sekitori as this was very close to where we were putting up. We ordered the "Syabusyabu Gozen" on the suggestion of the lady taking our order. It was a great mix of pork, beef and sea food, with sushi and other things of course! In fact the lady made the beef dish live in front of us. Good food with good ambience!I guess the best way to eat the best dish at a first time restaurant is to ask the staff what is that they make best- you are seldom to make the wrong choice then. You can see from the photos how rich the spread looks! I feel they can work a little on their taste, but loved the beef! Overall a good experience :)

Whenever one passes by San Miguel Avenue in Ortigas, one will definitely not miss the towering Sumo Wrestler waving through the window of Sekitori Authentic Japanese Restaurant at Hanston Square building. This is the second branch of Sekitori, that started at Little Tokyo in Chino Roces, Makati. The restaurant is named after sekitori (関取), a top-ranked professional sumo wrestler in Japan, as a homage to Japan’s traditional sports.  Aside from the bigger-than-life sumo wrestler by the window, the restaurant is surround with pictures of sumo wrestlers and art decors relating to the beloved sport.

No parking space beside Richmonde hotel ortigas. Small Cockroaches around the dining. Staffs attentive. Taste of food, average. There's no reason for coming back. No special menu that marked on me. Sorry.✌🏽 it's a FLOP.

Thanks to eatigo, I enjoyed my 5 visits here. The last one was with my family and they really enjoyed they want to dine again soon. I love their sushis, makis and karaage salad! I always enjoy it when shared. What I won’t recommend is their ramen. I find it too oily :(For a legit japanese dining experience, I highly recommend sekitori. Don’t forget to request a refill of your hot fresh green tea - perfect after munching a sushi 🍣 😇

...its no wonder why Sekitori prides itself to be worthy of "someone who has conquered the ring", as they provide generous servings fit for no less than a Sumo Grandmaster! here, you get to experience authentic, traditional Japanese cuisines with a unique take that sets it apart from most of its peers... the ambience and setting of the place serves as a perfect venue for lunchtime offsite meetings and for date nights!if i had to knit pick for an area of improvement, their service crew can do better with a tad bit more urgency, although in their defence, the food is really worth waiting for so that's a stretch of a critique at best

Food ordered:Day 1Steak Jyu - 850Torikaraage Teisyoku - 330Day 2(NEW set) - 450Tempura#JKExperience:Variety of Menu - 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩Food Quality/Taste - 😍😍😍Price - 💰💰💰💰Staff - 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️Ambience - 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠Overall Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️Our Experience: There’s a lot of food to choose from. The Steak Jyu was cooked perfectly to what I like, medium rare. The torikaraage has 4 large-sized chicken —which is awesome! The “new set” I ordered is a set of steak cooked with potatoes. I forgot the name and couldn’t find it in their online menu. This one has more potatoes than steak... I think I only ate 4 small strips of beef. Food serving was quite slow... we have waited around 20-30mins on each visit. All in all, the food is OK but nothing special when it comes to taste.

Ambience 💛💛💛💛Food Taste 💛💛💛💛Price 💛💛💛💛Table Setting 💛💛💛💛💛Food Presentation 💛💛💛💛💛We ordered Pork Tonkatsu Set and Tori Karaage Set and we enjoyed eating here because they have a large serving of food and the ambience is nice but it felt a little warm inside. Overall, I like this restaurant and I would love to come back and eat dinner again at Sekitori.

I used to go here for lunch all the time. Their service wasn’t always perfect but the food was good enough for me to come back. However, the last time I went, it took them 45 minutes to serve my food. All the other customers who got there after me got served first. I was really disappointed. The waitresses didn’t really help much also, they were pretty unhelpful and abrasive. Sad, coz I loved this place.
