I tried the corned beef ala rufo's. Basically just a corned beef on top of a scrambled egg.I liked it enough. Not bad for 76 pesos. I also paired it with some mushroom adobo. It was flavorful enough and all but nothing out of the ordinary.

My former colleagues invited me to dine out , i decline since according to them they will only have sandwich for midnight snack ; but another group came in the picture and we ended dining here , much to their dismay and to my content; i was glad i came with them; before i was hesitant to dine here; coz i thought it's expensive my wrong. Sanitation, ambiance , staff are of my approval and food affordable, newly cook, looks clean and yummy. I enjoyed. Thanks to them

I have always loved Rufo's danggit for breakfast. :-D I feel like I'm in Cebu eating the Danggit. Though I love this one their coffee is not that good. Plus they have a very slow service. They dont have a toilet inside the eatablishment too. Their place is so small. :-(

I ate a few times here with me and my friends since it is literally across the block from my school here in Ortigas. The food here is absolutely scrumptious! And yes this restaurant does stay true to it's name as having the best tapa! The meat is very tender and juice and the sauce with it, compliments it perfectly! I will definitely be eating here again soon.

Childhood breakfast fave! If you're looking for a resto who serves tapa and fried rice or other filipino breakfast dishes, and its already 12 midnight this is the place for you. THEY ARE OPEN 24/7!

Medyo fail ang tapa, i meant the quantity of the actual servings compare to the picture on the menu. They gave me 4 pcs of tapa smothered in sauce. I asked the manager why is this, he said "sir ganyan talaga, yung sa iba din ganyan". Lol

Another long weekend meant more work when things go back to normal. And so today I had to order in once again via food app, Food Panda. I got Rufo's as I remembered how different (with lots of sauce) and tasty their famous tapas are. It's still good despite it being extra sweet for lunch awhile ago. To add to my entree, I got Bangus Sinigang too. Sadly this one did not impress. It looks sad with barely any vegetable. Its soup on the other hand, was sour and bland at the same time. The meat however had decent serving size given its Php 120 price tag. To pair with my tapa, I also got fresh tomato and salted egg. It gave a better match versus vinegar and soy sauce.

When I was craving for a good tapa, I decided to try Rufo's famous tapa since this is the nearest place to my office that offers a tapa dish. I was a bit curious about it because it seems that it is quite different from the usual tapa. It has a lot of sauce and that explains their "sauce pa lang ulam na" tag line. Place and ServiceThe place is okay. Although, it is a bit small. I was just disappointed because when my order arrived, I removed the tissue paper wrapped on my spoon and fork and I saw that the spoon was dirty. I think it was not washed properly. Good thing there were spares on the table. I should have taken a photo of it, but I was not in the mood because I didn't feel welcome to the place. FoodWhen my food arrived, I saw my tapa covered with sauce. The first thing I did was to taste the sauce. It was good, but not good enough for me. I took a bite from the tapa and man, it was a bit chewy. It was not as tender as I expected. I had to spit my first bite because I have been chewing it longer than I'm supposed to. I tried the remaining ones and they were not as bad as the first one. But still, it could have been more tender. In general, Rufo's tapa was good. But, it could have been better. I could say that I'm not a fan of it. I still prefer the traditional ones.  Will I try it again? Maybe. Maybe not.

Sulit! I tried the lumpia meal and sinigang na baboy. Both were flavorful. Pork was tender and boiled to perfection and sinigang soup hits the spot when it comes to the sourness. Note: they have an updated menu with fewer items (no more bulalo, etc.)
