Bringing you a humble and a homey dining experience at The Grove, Precynct offers its uniquely concocted coffee, gins and tonics, smoothies and heaven-sent breakfast favorites and mains. I highly recommend their Pancakes and their Faux Cappuccino! Bring your friends and family over; you'll certainly come back for more.

Ambiance - I love the overall look of the shop. I felt like being in a minimalist's house. Service - The staff aren't that friendly but they are approachable. Which is okay with me. Also, I like how their knowledge of their menu.Food - I just had coffee since I am still full. Their Hot Mocha reminds me of Yardstick. I cannot actually say that their coffee is not well-priced because of the quality. I actually want to commend them for serving great coffee. Will come back soon for another cup.

The Grove by Rockwell has added half a dozen new restaurants at its recently expanded retail and condo area. Precynct is its Third Wave coffee offering, with a full menu for lunch and dinner, and a snack menu with tacos and toasts upwards of P300 in between (3-6pm). While I found the selection a little thin - one gets peckish at 5 pm and might thinking of eating dinner early - I made do with a taco. Since street tacos made with corn tortillas have stormed the scene, everyone who has followed suit seems to think two tacos underneath the filling are necessary. Not for full-sized flour tortillas sitting underneath a regular amount of topping. While pretty, I didn't need the extra tortilla, and the plate was too small. So two things: enlarge the plate, or if not, please roll the tortilla for me(single layer okay), OR consider making it a tostada, so the tortilla is legimately open-faced, and if toasted, easier to eat. Somebody next to me ended rolling up his tortilla too. My single origin coffee from Costa Rice (The House of Juan Valera, I was told) was served in beautiful custom pottery by Mia Casan. There was enough for two cups. I don't believe they stay open late, which is sort of a shame. It is compact but pretty, in neutral hues of blue - the upholstery, the cups, their coffee trays. It is also fun to watch the staff work behind their matte shelving, and take a peek at their small but awesome collection of cookbooks.Craft beers and fancy cocktails are offered here, a win-win situation for drinkers and teetotalers - post-hipster, very Millennial-friendly. Must come back soon.
