What makes for a good all-day breakfast place or pastry café is coffee, and this place serves their signature blend tepid, probably from a Thermos, brewed hours earlier to cut costs. Nothing is worse than paying twice the price for half the quality. Dispel any romantic notions of quaintness and warmth as this café offers neither. Maybe only good for the paid website's Instagram post.

I'm not into pies so I was quite unsure on what to feel about Pi Breakfast and Pies. But turns out, they offer a lot of other stuff aside from pies-- they practically have every breakfast dish you can think of! They have pancakes and waffles, breads and pastries, corned beef, sausages, corned beef, kimchi rice (!!!), and lots of other options if you're craving for a Filipino breakfast. Their bestseller is the Caramelized Spam. I was wondering why it became their bestseller because well, it was just spam. But when I tried it, it was really good! It didn't even taste like spam anymore. Highly recommended!

Good place for weekend breakfast at the Grove by Rockwell. The Fritata was quite good with a bunch of meats and veggies and yummy cheese cooked with 3 eggs. Quite filling. The Breakfast Gumbo was good too - tomato stew with chicken and sausage and veggies topped with a poached egg. The Orange & Lime Pi provided a good sweet end to our breakfast

Perfect stop if you want a filling meal to get you through the day. i got the breakfast gumbo (Php325) which wasn't on the waiter's top 3 best sellers. great presentation - watch the hot copper skillet, and resist the urge to dig in quickly or you'll burn your tongue😉.so this dish didn't disappoint. might be a bit bland for those used to salty/bursting-in-your-mouth flavor. for me, i liked the happy mix of shrimp, sausage, chicken and small okra slices (!!!). ignore the white rice if this seems too much and you will have room for the poached egg and the tomato stew drizzle (scrape it off the bottom). Dessert: peanut butter honeycomb pie. medyo maliit ang slice but it was creamy and not too sweet. i need to walk this off. but this will definitely fuel me for the rest of my busy thursday🙃PS: forgot the restroom review - i'm all about tastefully decorated and/or immaculately cleaned restrooms. i had to opt out of their restroom because inwas on diva mode. ICY, the waiter offered their sister resto's restroom instead. Galing, not only was he attentive but he actually did cross selling of the Backyard on the other side. eh di babalik tuloy ako to try this resto next time. The bigger restroom was a lot cleaner. Happy customer finally!

Had the Eggs Sammy (salmon instead of bacon), my bfast choice oftentimes. It was delicious except that the egg was already closed to being hard boiled. No egg yolk flowed. We also tried the bacon omelette which I found to be rather oily. It could've better also if they had the bacon bits toasted to add texture to the usual omelette.Lastly, the mixed berry pancake was what I loved being a person who is watching her sugar level. It wasn't sweet--not the pancake mix nor the berries.
