The old Jade Palace located in Shaw Blvd. Grew up eating Jade Palace's food and so grateful we found them. Same old food, staff, manager — but a more homey venue. The manager told us they bought this old house and decided to transfer here because of an offer made on their previous branch. Same old comfort food such as the wanton and the siopao and the siomai. Also perfect for family gatherings since they still have set meals. Our family was seated in the old bedroom and sobrang nice and homey ng feeling. The pata tim is 💯 The sets were nakakabusog and yummy! 👌🏻

No photos now but Oriental Pearl (or what used to be Jade) is one of our default places to order or dine in. Helps that we live close by too.. Their congee (shredded pork w century egg) is my usual meal when i get sick with colds/flu or if im recovering from my acid attacks. For less than 150 bucks super sulit na. My real fave is the Kutchay Dumplings. Tender wrapper with shrimp and kutchay..yum..i eat it without toyo, no need for it! Their yang chow rice is also pretty good for the price(125?) Super cheap! Bola2 siopao is as good as Kowloons..need to improve their sauce lang a bit more but its already a winner! Overall, u cant go wrong earing here!

After the bad experience at Masuki, you may want to totally cleanse your palate for traditional Chinese or Cantonese food. Formerly known as Jade Palace, the place never fails to deliver good and generous serving of dishes. Service is better than most restaurants that you wouldn't have to complain that there's a 10% service charge (as I usually do given that it shouldn't be compulsory). So if you want to dive into better than fast food quality service and dish, try this one. Though you may want to try plain rice rather than their yang chow.

It was known before as Jade Palace outside Kapitolyo. Its a go to resto after drinks, their food cures hang over. They closed down and opened this place. Servers and waiters are from the old resto. But still they serve delicious cantonese dishes. I really love their beef wanton noodles soup. I think the new store closes at 11pm, unlike before they were 24hrs. Anyway, whether they close early or 24hrs, their food is a must try and a real comfort food for me.

It's one of those hole in the wall kind of places that you don't often hear or see in ads. A friend took me here after we decided to go for Chinese. It was very homey, place not too big (so parking might not be too easy at dinner time but I'm not sure because we took an über to get here). We started our meal with the bird's nest soup. This is so tasty I had to get a second serving and almost got myself full from just the soup. They slightly overcooked the noodles on our crispy pancit but it was yummy just the same. It went well with the lemon chicken that we ordered which was neither too sweet nor too sour. We also tried their shrimp puff and even that was a simple treat with or without the dip that it came with.To top ot all off, you don't have to spend too much here so it was a real gastro treat. I will surely come back for more.

Your usual old style, dependable Chinese Food fix. The ambience resembles that of the 80s maybe 90s feel. The food servers to the managers were very attentive, polite and knew what their dishes were. The family ordered asado (which was really tender and tasty); spinach seafood soup (good amounts of spinach, seafood ingredients); siomai (very juicy); special chopsuey (nothing extraordinary), beef hofan (a bit disappointed since we ordered the dry one and still came out a bit saucy. Didnt have that smoky taste to what you would expect of this dish); garlic fried rice (yummy because of the generous fresh amounts of garlic and toasted garlic in the rice!); lapu-lapu with beancurd hotpot (the taste was excellent but we felt that the fish used wasnt lapu-lapu which was a great disappointment)Overall, the dining experience was great. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes on the menu

Decent Chinese food at a family run restaurant in Kapitolyo. I dropped by to pick up a few dishes for takeout.Hakaw Dumplings are plump and juicy as other reviewers have commented. At Php 140 for 4 pieces, this is priced competitively. Spicy Chicken Feet are also good. The rice topping dishes I got - Beef Brisket and Chicken in black mushroom - were both ok. The beef chunks were overly fatty.

...oriental pearl will always be a classic go-to place for me, as it checks out all i need to get a fix from the usual dumpling cravings.. they serve it as it is: nothing fancy, all serious. the crew know their menu even with their eyes closed, so that says it all!

This used to be the Jade Palace i think along Shaw Blvd. Always our family’s default restaurant when we need to celebrate something. Duck is roasted well, yang chow is always perfect, and the steamed shrimp is cooked just right.

Our table looked like a buffet, but it's one of the joys of eating at a family style chinese food resto. We had dimsums, and noodles, and entrees. We had the Fung Shing noodles (they say this is a must try, but it was a miss for me), Shrimp Hakaw, Chicken Feet, Kutchay Dumplings, Yang Chaw fried rice, and the excellent Stuffed Shrimp rolled in Bacon (feat. hot mayo - which I don't understand if the "hot" part meant temperature since it wasn't remotely spicy). The food was great and the wait time was reasonably proportional (approx 5 long songs) to the amount of food ordered. Wouldve wanted to try the roast platter and century eggs, but reserving that for another time.
