Whenever I hear the word “moonshine” I only can think about the highly prohibited clear unaged whiskey. And to be honest, I’ve always wanted to try it as I am a whiskey person more than any other liquor. I heard it’s too strong and not for lightweights like me, still, I wanna try at least once in my life.  I have asked one of my friends from the US to bring me home one hopefully she won’t forget. Haha!

Moonshine is the glowing light that comes from the moon, and it’s also a common term meaning “homemade liquor.” In an old-timey bluegrass song, a character might drink moonshine in the moonshine. When they said moonshine I’m expecting to have a good liquor in the place. Chef Jehrad Dolino has always devoted himself to uplifting Filipino food and making it a personal mission for the cuisine to have a place on the global stage. Moonshine PUB’s menu is, therefore, a reflection to this advocacy and puts the spotlight to a modernized version of Filipino classics sets to delight both locals and foreigners alike.

Always a good time in Moonshine! Food is sinful but amazing and delicious. All my visits were pleasant as expected. Will definitely continue recommending the place and will def keep coming back.

Food is too sweet. The tokwa't bagnet, bacon stack, and salpicao are all too sweet. On the otherhand the crispy crablets was too bland, almost like it was forgotten to be seasoned with salt and pepper. Caramel beer is too sweet too, we had to dilute it with another bottle of beer.

I am just surprised that they are not issuing a official or taped receipt unless you asked for one. For big establishment in the heart of Ortigas that seems fishy. Also they do not provide tap water, you need to buy bottled water. It is not like their dishes are dirt cheap that they can not afford to provide distilled water to customers.

Look back on your favorite homespun food, the ones that your mom or lola used to cook for the family during special occasions. Now imagine them with a fresh twist, a little change that makes them keep the nostalgia that you harbor for them but, at the same time, gives them a new dimension that gets you so giddy with excitement for a taste of something new. That is what Chef Jehrad Dolino achieved when he unveiled his latest creations of reimagined Filipino food for Moonshine PUB.

The place is usually jam packed even on a weekday night. Been here twice and always seated at the bar area (didn’t mind it though). Servers were nice, food was good, and the price is reasonably enough. It is a great place to chill after a long tiring day.

A modern twist on amazing Filipino dishes! Moonshine PUB, Ortigas offers their newest inclusions on their 2019 menu. I personally love the "Adobo" and "Palabok". Yet everything taste good as well. Their chef made a unique twist in every dishes that made it modern while still reminding you of your favorite Filipino comfort food. The restaurant is also open if you want to drink some beers or wines. They have 2-level restaurants that fits up to 300 guests. In that case you and your group can enjoy the whole place so much! This is a perfect place to chill after work and if you want to unwind. Together with their delicious and mouth-watering food you'll enjoy the "chill" vibes of the whole restaurant. ♥

Recently, Chef Jehrad Dolino of Moonshine PUB updated their menu and presented the latest dishes that both loyal and new customers will love. The theme of the new dishes focused on Reimagined Filipino Food that the restaurant is known for. And having tried these new dishes myself, I must say, Moonshine PUB doesn’t disappoint.

Food is just ok. Most disappointing is the service (or lack thereof). The servers really lack training in basic courtesy. They saunter around with nonchalant demeanors & pretend not to see you calling them. If the bartender sees you raise your hand, no reaction. When I asked for tonic water, the waiter handed me a room temperature can. No glass, no ice. Also, they have no service water. I thought this wasn’t allowed in any restaurant? You’re forced to buy bottled water at Php 55. When I got it, they gave me no receipt.“Receipts” were hand-scribbled on a piece of paper.
