Matgalne is definitely a must-try if you are into Korean buffets. At Php 550 for dinner/weekends, it's very affordable, especially considering that the restaurant is at the heart of Ortigas CBD. They have around 10-15 side dishes to choose from, a salad bar, a make-your-own bibimbap corner, and a make-your-own janchi guksu (noodle soup) station. Most of their side dishes are palatable enough, and the standout is their chapchae, which I really enjoyed. I actually like Matgalne better than perennial website favorite, Sodam, because: 1) drinks are included in the buffet, and 2) you get your own meat at the buffet line rather than waiting for the meat to be delivered to your table.

One day, I suddenly craved for a Korean food since I watch “Running Man” (a Korean variety show) and they eat really delicious looking Korean cuisines! And I thought, I need to try some of these. And so I started searching on google about the most affordable korean buffet restaurants in the metro. Of all the blogs, articles, and posts that I have seen, you can always find Matgalne on their list. I actually searched for every restaurants on the said list and looked at their prices. Matgalne was one of the cheapest and most-loved restaurants by the reviewers so we decided to come visit and check the place out.

Food: The cuts/slices are not good. Service: Staff are attentive. Line: There are no lines when we got there which is around 7pm. They also accept reservations. No ventilation. You can feel the heat on your face.

4.0🌟Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was happily surprised when I saw several choices of meat for grilling at this branch of Matgalne. Unlike their branch in Poblacion, there were I think around 8-10 choices of meat dishes to choose from. There were the basic thinly sliced pork and beef, liempo cut, marinated slices, chicken meat and even squid (I’m guessing it was squid since it looked like one yet I did not get any since I was there for the beef and pork only 😅). There were also more of the “other” meals to choose from - pancakes, bibimbap, jap chaes, etc. Plus, hooray for the unli drinks too - pineapple, orange, iced tea. You can, however, order extra with charge for beer and korean desserts like Melona ice cream.Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️As I said, there were more choices here compared to their branch in Poblacion so it was definitely more worth it (50php more but it was ok)Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Area was well ventilated for a Korean restaurant. My clothes still smelled like samgyupsal after but at least my hair and skin did not. There were ample spaces in between tables and there were enough spaces to walk to and not bump with the other guests. Overall, I can say it was not very cozy but it was not uncomfortable also - just okay.Service:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️There were plenty of waiters and waitresses over this branch and they were ready to assist all the time. They don’t want you to cook on high fire however so beware of waiters coming over at your tables and turning down the knobs of the stove without excusing 😅

Delicious food. Came on valentine's day and there was no queue. Service is impeccable. They would replace our grill because of the black charred residue that is left when meat is cooked even if didn't ask. Will definitely be back to satisfy my Korean food cravings !

I love their buffet spread. You get good value for your money. No conditions/limitations to think of. Just enjoy your food in peace. No long lines either. That's why it's my go-to-place for Korean buffet.😍

we had a great time here! this is my type of korean buffet where all the choices were laid out tapos you just get what you want. minsan kasi ang hassle sa k-Buffets where you bug the waiters to bring you your orders, which may be time consuming or sometimes you get ignored. not at matgalne. they have all the types of beef, pork, chicken and even the leafy greens had a lot of choices. drinks were free too, and not just water. they had orange juice and iced tea. so far,  one of the best k-buffets!

Food was awesome. And its really a typical korean buffet restaurant. They serve pork, beef and chicken but not seafoods. I like their drinks, mango orange 😋👍🏻

Food is awesome. I like their buffet-style dining since we don't have to wait for service crews to give us our meat. Their price is also reasonable and cheap for the variety of food they serve. Definitely going back.
