I have only had their food as a take-out, so cannot comment on the restaurant ambiance and service. It has quickly become one of my favourite go-to places when the craving for Chinese food hits. One of the best tasting Chinese restaurants out there, and comes with my recommendation.

Been here twice and ordered their pugon roasted asado and chopsuey and their yang chow fried rice. More than enough for two persons. We happened to come for a Sunday brunch so the place was full.

The place was good - well lit, well ventilated, spacious and can acommodate a fair amount of customers. Parking was quite inadequate since it was shared with other establishments. Menu was very typical of Chinese restaurants. Service was average, attributing to the fact that it was at a peak hour when we came. Food was presented well, but the taste was mediocre. There was nothing special about the flavors and the spare ribs were very dry. Just to clarify, yes the food had flavor however, it was just plain. There was no "wow factor" in terms of the flavor of the food. Price was not a good match with the food quality.

Some dishes in Lido are not new to Manila; the menu flirts with the meaty, barbecue styles of Xinjiang in the northwest, already offered up in a basic manner. Similarly anyone who, like me, has thrilled to the recent arrival of full-on Sichuan and Hunan cooking will find themselves on familiar ground. The difference is that there is so much more of it here - pugon roast, drunken lechons and honey glazed dishes. My usual go to dish here is their Manchurian Chicken which tasted mediocre; but it had an excellent glaze to it. The chicken wasn't that soft and was not spicy as I expected it to be, whereas the other kick was a bit on the sweeter side. Lechon Macau was a disappointment too.I was honestly disheartened to see Lido's cooking fall apart. I'm not quite sure if this was just caused by bad timing or the lack of manpower at this particular branch. I leave that decision to you, but remember these dishes has taken over the Indian Chinese dining experience and are usual favourites by many.
