Good porchetta at affortable prices. The porchetta nachos was value for money. It could use a little more mango but at the price range its good enough. The poutine was so-so. The porchetta rice was very good. At P185, you get a generous portion of porchetta. It's topped w poached egg too. Parking is hard. Because it was raining, we ate outside and it was a great experience. Italian porchetta, enjoyed alfresco w the family. Overall, it was a great experience.

I've tried their best seller the Porchetta Rice Meal. It's kinda good but when I've tasted my partner's meal (lol) i think braised pulled beef tasted better. Their Porchetta Tacos is awesome though! Good service and nice ambiance. We'll come back again 👍

Hidden in the unexplored residential streets of Kapitolyo is this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Karnitas Korner boasts of its porchetta, which, as they say, is succulent over-roasted pork loin. Being their bestseller, we ordered the Porchetta Rice and Porchetta Sandwich. The rice dish had a perfectly poached egg which, once broken, gorgeously spilled over the rice mixed with corn. This also came with coleslaw that had roasted sesame dressing that would remind you of the vegetables given at famous tonkatsu restaurants. The server also gave something that could be added to the dish to make it more spicy. I tried tasting it and even a drop of it was already too spicy for me, so i gave it to M who totally liked it! He added it to his porchetta sandwich which even made it taste better than it already was. We also ordered the Poutine which the server recommended. It was french fries with a twist. It had cheese sauce, gravy, jalapeños, and chorizo/sweet longganisa. We enjoyed this appetizer because it had a good mix of sweetness and spiciness. The ambiance of the place was very cozy. Being far from the main area of restaurants in Kapitolyo, for me, is an advantage. It was very quiet and peaceful, and parking (along the street) was generally easier.

A hole in the wall and a hidden gem in kapitolyo! They have a new time 11-2pm and 6pm - 10pm. We arrived 5pm and it's close, all along I thought it's operating hour is 11am - 10pm. My friend then asked if they can open before 6 pm since we drove all the way from Bgc and we are group of 9. After a few minutes they let us in and prepared the seats inside! Wohoo! Two thumbs up for the service. When the seats inside were ready there's this cornick on a glass, I think they noticed us hungry. Hahahaha. They took our order after 5 mins of sitting, the crew were all nice, they let us know what's the best. The Porchetta nachos was served first and yes, its amazing! I love the taste and of course the crispness of the Porchetta. The poutine is my number one fries! The cheese, jalapeño and chorizo is really a winner! I ordered the Porchetta rice, it's really worth it for the price! It's like bibimbap, that you need to mix everything on the plate. I love it with more more pepper! Their Carbonara was served with unlimited parmesan cheese. Over all the experience is awesome!

Located within the residential area, Karnitas Korner decided to put up the restaurant away from the hub for the simple reason that it is already saturated. Mr. Bayon Alcoseba, one of the owners of Karnitas Korner, gave us a brief background on how they started. He was based in Jakarta, Indonesia back then when they conceptualized the restaurant. With porchetta and other proteins as the main item of most of their dishes, they played around with the word “carne” and used K instead to make it look and sound more Filipino. For the second word, they thought of something that would perfectly jive with the first one, hence adding Korner to the restaurant’s name.

“Kim… Kourtney… Khloe… Karnitas?!” That was the first thing that came to mind as I stepped into Karnitas Korner in Kapitolyo, Pasig. “Kan” you blame me? It’s the initials! Corny pun aside, I’m a fan of hidden gems, and this restaurant is as “secretive” as it gets. So much so that I went circling another street for a good 15 minutes before finally reaching the destination. When I did get to where I was going, it was worth the time and effort.Having opened its doors just last month, Karnitas Korner is the latest destination to cater to pork lovers with their lovingly prepared Porchetta. You’ll get your fill of it through sandwiches, rice dishes, pasta, and even tacos featuring said star ingredient. They also have chicken, beef, and vegatarian dishes for those who want to go pork-free. Now, let’s get to the tasting part:I started off with a refreshing glass of Iced Green Tea with Lychee that eased me out of the hot weather outside. It’s a lot of the lychee flavor, so those who aren’t big on green tea will still appreciate this sweet beverage for the fruity factor.I liked the concept of this dish, from the kind of bread used to the salsa verde to the crispy onion frizzles. Porchetta is naturally very salty, so the thickness of the bread offsets that somewhat. There’s also pork rinds in there for texture. Frizzles are like onion rings, but in strips. There’s not a lot of batter on them, so they don’t taste so greasy. For rice lovers, you can get a filling serving of Porchetta with rice. It comes with a soft-boiled egg, roasted corn slaw, and sambal matah. The latter is a sweet, spicy Balinese condiment containing chilies, shallots, and lemongrass. Use sparingly as it is quite hot. The suggested way of eating this dish is to cut the meat up and mix everything together. That way, you get equal portions of meat and rice, as well the egg yolk that provides a rich sauce to coat everything. Since it’s a whole slice of the porchetta, the saltiness is most present in this dish. Do cut the meat into smaller portions to even out the taste. My favorite of the three dishes served, the Porchetta Tacos pack a whole lot of flavor from the assorted components that go into them. It’s sweet (sweet chili sauce), salty (porchetta, pork rinds), hot, and rich (chipotle sour cream). Out of the three, this is also the least salty form of porchetta, probably because of all the other ingredients in the mix. It’s a creative way to use the star ingredient to make it something completely unexpected.Lunch ended with a crunchy cookie served with a shot of milk. Lots of butter and chocolate. More baked goods are available for dine-in or takeaway at the display case in the back.An intimate 30-35 seater, Karnitas Korner easily gets filled up, so it’s best to make reservations beforehand. The murals are a colorful touch that instantly add a trendy edge to the charming cafe design. Considering the work that goes into the dishes, PHP 185 is a fair amount to shell out for each plate. Kudos to the Karnitas Korner team for coming up with so many ways to serve porchetta. It’s a whole menu based on roast pork, and they were able to present satisfying variations with both Eastern and Western flavors.*I was invited to this PR event. While I got to dine free-of-charge, opinions expressed here are entirely my own.foodworldme.wordpress.com

If htere is a restaurant that made me really full it would be Karnitas Korner.  Their Porchetta is the main ingredient of almost every dish and mind you it works out for me.  I really love this place, it might be small but it is one great place to spend your special occasions. If you are reading this review before June 30 then you are very lucky because Karnitas Korner has an ongoing promo.  The #ANYversary Promo began in February 2015 before Karnitas Korner opened its doors last March 12. Here are the mechanics: -  Take a photo of your #ANYversary and upload on your Facebook or Instagram accounts-  Tell us about your #ANYversary with the hashtags #ANYversary and #KarnitasKorner- Tag at least four friends and get a chance to win 20% discount vouchers and free meal at the KornerKarnitas Korner is neither Mexican nor Filipino but it is for me an entirely unique dining. You can have a fun time with your friends, your co-workers or just someone special to you and call it very special while enjoying their affordable and great tasting food.So what is Karnitas Korner? Called a concept restaurant, a porchetta joint or even a hole-in-the-wall, Karnitas Korner was established to be a go-to place where people can enjoy gourmet dish and porchetta in a casual dining setup. There is yet to be a porchetta restaurant in Metro Manila and Karnitas Korner offers this (even for same day order of whole porchetta) with gourmet ciabatta sandwiches (one of it is Porchetta Sandwich) and other gourmet dishes. Porchetta is the main ingredient in almost all of the offerings of this food venue. What then is Porchetta? Porchetta (pronounced as por’ketta) is a savory, fatty, and moist boneless roast pork. Rooting from Italian culinary tradition where the pork loin is arranged carefully with layers of stuffing- meat, fat, crispy skin and garlic, rosemary, fennel, or other herbs, it is then rolled and roasted, traditionally over wood. You can experience their enticing tacos, burrritos, burgers and rice wit their own brand of lechon. It is in someway a guilty pleasure since I do know that calorie wise consuming a lot of their food would mean additional calories but of course this is a food review so I have to get a hold of everything.I do have some issues with their burgers since for me it seems that the bread is a bit hard to bite and does not come along with the filling inside. I would have preferred a soften bun that would make the experience a bit more focus on what's inside rather than on the bread itself. Yet, I had been thinking could it be that the burger was over exposed to air causing the bun to dry up? Hmmmm... The juices were good including the lemon grass and their home blend ice tea. Their home blend ice tea was indeed something very unique in taste and flavor, something I would say that is far better than most ice teas you drink at other restaurants. My favorite includes, Braised Pulled Beef Short Ribs (mouthwatering slow-cooked pulled beef) and Poutine (fries, homemade cheese sauce, gravy, jalapenos, and sweet longganisa.).  I hope to visit again soon after all we won a free dinner/lunch for four and it is a full set of meal.  Really love this place.

The house of Porchetta. Everything here is delectable and pocket-friendly. For me, Porchetta Rice is the best :) Sambal is also served if you want it spicy.I love the interiors. They have hand-painted mural walls. Simple and calming ambiance. The staffs are very accommodating. Very good service! :)And another thing, their comfort room is well-maintained, very clean. The only problem here I think is the parking space.

Their porchetta is the best! I especially love the variety of flavors in their Porchetta Tacos–it’s sweet, salty, hot, and rich. Two porchetta-filled tacos with herb-roasted corn slaw, crispy pork rinds, sweet chili sauce, and chipotle sour cream on the side. Definitely coming back for more tacos!
