Love the food! Service was ok and place was nice, though felt stuffy and old. Would appreciate it if there was aircon haha.Price wise, it's a bit steep for lutong bahay, but worth it taste wise. Just that theres too much oil. Id come back here though, if I were craving for Filipino!

If you are looking for a place to eat in Kapitolyo try here. They serve lutong ulam at a affordable price. The place is nice and clean. Masarap ang mga ulam.

The Place:It's the former space of Cafe Juanita. I guess they just decided to keep whatever what was left of the old restaurant. I wished they'd fix it up because it does look like an unkempt place. Artsy it isn't. The Food:I have eaten at different karinderias/turo-turo types of eateries but Kainan Augusto does not measure up to its more humble counterparts.I'm not sure if we just came at a bad day but it wasn't an enjoyable lunch as I hoped for. The rice was sticky and kakanin-like. The pork was not as tender as it should be. The escabecheng tilapia which was delicious but had very little meat. My mom said that the leche flan was too sweet. The bananana cue was ok though. The other dishes we ordered were tasty but serving size was too small based on my opinion.I find the food a bit too expensive for its quality and serving size. For me, there are a lot better options than going to Kainan Augusto.

Sisig was one of the Best. But the service is WTF! It took 35 minutes. Not a good thing. But I admit, foods are very Delish and Filipino. The price is right aswell, nothing to complain 'bout that.

Taste: Very Good. Price: Binabayaran mo din ung mga ginastos sa decorations na ginamit nila. Why? Ung price is the same as karinderya pero ung serving sobrang konti. Refer to the pictures taken. 170+ for Kaldereta? Seriously?? And look at the servings siguro tig 2 kutsara lang each ulam. Definitely not worth the quantity vs. price. Although masarap sya I will not be coming back. Merong similar karinderya with same taste pero much cheaper. Place: Ambiance is good half ng place parang restaurant ung other half parang bar.

One of the best Adobos I've tried in Manila! Not sweet! Real Luzon style! Just have to ask for meat without fat! And the place is really nicely decorated!

👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 mas masarap pa yung mga nasa karendirya. Yung pork sobrang tigas and yung adobo walang lasa 👎🏼 ang mahal pa niya. Mabagal yung service.

We have a great dinner experience here. They have live band and I can say it is good tambayan with barkada. I observed that it has 3 parts - in front of the counter (which has more lights ang lighter ambiance), the middle part near the live band (which is a little bit dark but have a nice ambiance) where we seated and the inside bar ( where they offer drinks) and compare to the first two it is totally different).About the food, we loved our dinner. It is affordable and like a lutong bahay but it is really good :) my favorite is their fried chicken which I think is marinated with butter. The sizzling pusit is tender and I love it! The iNihaw na tilapia is really tasty!

Had a breakfast here at around 7am. The place was so lively already eventhough we were one of their first costumers. Food was good and affordable. I really admire the interior of this place. Native and antique materials were used and displayed. Also, they have a stage for live band. Its like a class carinderia.
