We loved their strawberry bingsu! It not only looked good, but tasted good too! The serving was pretty big and the ice was nice and fine. It had pineapples and strawberries, which tasted fresh and went well together. The corn flakes and mochi balls were also yummy, and gave completely different textures and flavors which kept the dish interesting. All of that, was topped with vanilla ice cream, which we enjoyed very much. We thought that the milk which we had to pour over the dessert tasted wonderful, so much that we even asked for more. If your bingsu is not served with milk, be sure to ask for it. We will definitely be back to try the other flavors. We've been eating at Jang DaBang a few times before this certain visit and all I can say is that finally, I know what this cafe is called! Before, I used to refer to it as "the bingsu place beside Jang Ga Nae". Now it has a name in my vocabulary! 😂*UPDATE! "I've tasted most of their bingsus except for the Strawberry Bingsu." - Just recently, we dropped by the area and finally, we got to try their Strawberry Bingsu. It was strawberry-filled like really big BUT too sour strawberries on top. I honestly didn't like it as it was too sour for a dessert. The other toppings didn't help much in balancing the sourness BUT I liked the small mochis on top! And my sister liked it! If you love sour, this could be your choice of bingsu. I highly recommend the Mango Bingsu if you aren't too sure on what others might taste. Their Mango Bingsu is the best choice you'll never regret! It does taste like real mangoes! 🍧😋On this particular visit during the long weekend, we had the...1. Chocolate Bingsu - Chocolate-y with real Oreos on the side. I wasn't able to pay much attention to this bowl of bingsu as I was busy with our second choice...2. Matcha Bingsu - I won't easily suggest it to anyone unless they're up for something weirdly good. One word: Sampaguita (or Jasmine in english). It taste like the smell of the Jasmine flower. It didn't give me a nausea, actually, I ate it more than the chocolate bowl. I think this unique taste came from the Wintermelon-flavored wafers on the side. Downside is, it's flavor is matcha but you can only get the faintest bitter taste of green tea. Nonetheless, I liked it especially because it has a side of red bean paste. Yum! 😋In addition to this review, I used to be a regular in this area. If this cafe had been existing before I graduated from the university, it would totally be one of the places I'll spend my time studying or doing requirements. Student-friendly price, great ambiance, the temperature is just about right, and the servers were kind. *UPDATE : The cafe just added more seats so it's not too hard to dine-in anymore! 😊

Very good bingsu!!! Try the strawberry, it’s super yummy! Small size good to share. We were 3. Crossed over from jang ganae where we also had a very satisfying dinner.

Despite the spate of relatively balmy weather these last few days, there’s no denying that summer is already here. And with the hot summer days, icy snacks like bingsu are a godsend. I discovered Jang Da Bang Cafe during one of my Korean Food adventures at my favorite Korean resto, Jang Ga Nae, with my daughter – slash – partner-in-crime. After indulging ourselves in our favorite Korean dishes, some of which were quite spicy, we decided to try out the cafe right next door for dessert. We were happy to discover that Jang Da Bang has the same owner as Jang Ga Nae (as if the similarity in their names was not a dead giveaway, duh!). In fact, in our subsequent visits, the family developed the habit of ordering our preferred bingsu dessert at Jang Ga Nae (included in our bill), then hopping over to Jang Da Bang where our freshly made bingsu will be waiting for us.

Pretty good Bingsu for less than Php 500 and it's good for two already. Aprt from the shaved ice, it has Oreos, Corn Flakes, Milo Cereals, Kit Kat, a Scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream, and Chocolate Syrup. On the side, it also has red bean paste. The Bingsu is actually 3 stars but we'll add another star for their patient attendant who was always ready to serve with a smile. The best Bingsu so far is still in Zoo Cafe in Megamall, they did not skrimp on the cream, sweet creamand, cookies, and the overall size of the Bingsu.
