After months of settling down and adjusting to married life, we've finally found the perfect restaurant to start writing again on website.Isla Una is a place right at the middle of the metropolis. Found in the middle of City Golf, Pasig which has its own parking space (including valet), it is not very hard to find. Since we ordered a whole lot of food, we would recommend ordering their crispy pata, lechon belly, baked mussels, aligue rice, and of course, their isaw! Very Filipino indeed! A great place to bring foreign guests, meetings, family gatherings, and even hanging out with friends, especially their third floor area. Too bad we were not able to try their desserts since the ones we wanted were unavailable. This is a reason for us to go back! 😄Thanks to my friend's brother, Benjie, for inviting us to your restaurant! We'll be back before you even know it! 👍😄

Isa Una is a three-storey food haven that serves authentic filipino comfort food. We were lucky enough to be invited to their grand launch. The first floor is perfect for family gatherings and lunch conferences because it has a bright and eccentric interior. On the second floor, the interior is cozy and dim added with a mini bar on the side that completes the club vibe to it. Lastly, the roofdeck is perfect for romantic dates and for people who love to chill and have an overlook of the Ortigas skyline. One of the owners welcomed us as we enter the restaurant. The staff gave us their house blend iced tea which is perfect to quench our thirst on that day. We were given an option to choose among their best sellers on the menu and we decided to order Crispy pata, Sizzling bulalo, Kare-kare, Yamang Dagat and Prawn aligue.Crispy pata (650php) - The meat was juicy and crispy just the way I like in a crispy pata. Also, the sauce blends perfectly with the meat.Kare-kare (360php) - Orignial filipino stew of ox feet, ox shank, tripe and native vegetables in ground peanut sauce. The peanut sauce strikes my taste buds. It's not strong and not bland at the same time. Yamang dagat (410php) - Prawns, squid and mussels cooked in a flavorful broth of garlic, ginger and coconut milk. Seafood lovers would definitely love this.Prawn aligue (280php) - Prawns cooked in smothering and creamy aligue sauce. The prawns and aligue sauce complement each other and are perfectly paired with rice. Just watch your blood pressure though before eating this food.Sizzling bulalo (490php) - slow oven-baked beef shanks braised in filipino style herb mushroom gravy. This was the highlight of my lunch. The beef shank was soft and tender and the gravy just melts in your mouth that will make you want to eat more rice. The prices are also not that expensive and are good for sharing. Overall, I enjoyed our lunch stay at Isla Una and will definitely be back to bring my family and friends to experience good authentic Filipino food.

The restaurant's goal is to be a place where you can come and just be yourself; a place where stories are shared and friends are made over a sumptious meal and a drink or two in a warm and cozy ambience that resembles all the comforts of home.Your Isla experience will not only stimulate your palate, but also take you back to your roots. Isla Una is your home away from home!

🐽 Food: Was able to try their Sizzling Sisig & Crispy Prawn Heads. The Sisig should go with rice, of course. The prawn heads were deadly, in a very good way! I loved it. 🍹 Drinks: They have affordable local beer. 🍴Ambiance: Cute interiors and paintings. Very cozy and is a spot to just enjoy or hang with your friends casually.👫 Service: It was pretty packed when I went and we were seated on the rooftop so it might've been a bit of a struggle to accommodate us. They should station staff per floor to be able to accommodate the guests properly. 💸 Price: Really affordable especially that the food is for sharing.

I got to try out Isla Una's tastefully prepared beermates and Pica-Pica line-up for a night out with friends. Their finger food snacks can be anything from simple kikiam/squid balls, nachos to a piping hot dishes that go well with their cocktails and beer.I love their Pork Barbeque Skewers, Sisig and Chicharon Bulaklak. Sisig this is a favorite pulutan made from parts of pig’s head and liver and is usually seasoned with calamansi and chili peppers.Chicharon Bulaklak refers to crunchy, deep fried pork innards sprinkled with salt. Isla Una also offers homecooked Filipino dishes like Kare-Kare, Lechon Kawali and more for all members of the family to enjoy.

Kare-kare: While i liked that the sauce can stand on its own (w/o the bagoong), it was disappointing. The meat was bland and still hard, like it still needs more time boiling.Chicharon bulaklak: we originally ordered chicharon but it's out of stock. This one did not disappoint and i particularly liked their vinegar which had some cucumber.I gave it a 3.5 because they have a promising menu. And id like to come back and give the other items a try...IF i can convince the bee.

Isla Una is at the 1st floor of a three-storey edifice situated at the threshold, inside of the secluded compound of City Golf Pasig (not sure though if 2nd and 3rd is occupied by them too)It was my first time. I was there all alone on a weekday for lunch. The place is small for me. They have at least 6 tables, each table is good for 4 to accomodate customers. I like the set-up and decor, very vibrant and pleasant to the eyes. I ordered 1 dish since I was alone, the yamang dagat (seafood soup cooked in a coconut broth) a plain rice and a lemon juice . The food was sumptuous and I have this feeling other dishes are good too. Thats why I would definitely come back soon. Staff are very friendly.P.S. They have an unli-beer promo for Php200 only from 5-8PM on Sun-Thurs.

Isla Una is a casual Filipino restaurant located in City Golf Plaza, Pasig. They bring together the most-celebrated and well-loved dishes from the different regions in the Philippines.Had lunch here with friends and here are some of the dishes we've tried: Prawn Aligue was okay. The flavor was average and the quantity was just enough to not be skimpy, but wasn't generous. I probably wouldn't order it again. Kare-Kare was good. I believe that the peanut butter used was made from scratch because you can even taste of some of the toasted peanut chunks. The vegetables included were a little bland on their own but everything on the plate was enhanced by the shrimp paste (bagoong) they give you along with the meal. We also tried their Yamang Dagat soup. (Seafood soup cooked in coconut broth) It had a unique end taste which I could not quite put my finger on. I can't say it's negative, (or positive), but the uncanny feeling encouraged me not to finish it. We also enjoyed the Lechon Belly. This was a really tasty dish. The pork belly had a crispy skin but wasn't too greasy. It was well cooked, and the portion was just right. We ahd high hopes for the Sizzling Bulalo however it didn't win us over. Sadly, the beef shanks was dry, cold, and tough. The gravy was a little on the salty side too.For dessert we had the Chiffon de Leche. Basically, it's a chiffon cake walnut with layers of cream and dulce de leche. The cake was moist and sweet, but not too sweet, and was perfect with whipped cream. A wonderful, little sweet treat to end the meal.Overall, I would most likely come back for their Chiffon de Leche Cake and Filipino-inspired cocktails. If you are in the area, I suggest you give them a try.
