Note: This review is long overdueIkkoryu Fukuoka Ramen. The name sounds like a mouthful and a bit difficult to say, like talking is while slurping ramen. Haha! Jokes aside, they seriously serve really good ramen. I have eaten at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen a few times, at several branches (BGC near home, or Estancia near work), and mostly always order the same food. Tantanmen Ramen and as a side/appetizer it’s the Uni Dip with Gyoza Chips that always grabs my website attention.Uni, it’s literally one of the best things that the ocean has to offer. I love its rich and briny taste. Raw or as a sauce, I will have it any way. IFR is the only place that I know that has it as a very generous dip portion with crunchy fried gyoza skins. The dip is amazing, uni on its own is creamy but has become creamier mixed in whatever else is in the dip (cream most probably). And the gyoza skins are so crunchy and flavorful. I really would take them home by the bag full and want them as my chips at home. The dip too, put them in a jar. A Japanese Tostitos replacement? Why not? Lol!As for the ramen, Tantanmen Ramen is my fave. I love spicy food, hence I love Szechuan spices and the way it plays and tingles on my tongue and taste buds. The broth was rich in meatiness (pork if my taste buds were correct), and full of flavor. Nothing really over powering. Everything in the bowl balanced well and complimented each other. The noodles too were perfect. Just the right amount of bite and give—not too chewy or soft. Slurping the noodles allowing all the flavors to slide on my tongue is a perfect ramen experience. Yes, slurp your ramen, it isn’t rude my websites, and considered a compliment and the correct way to eat ramen.SLURP! SLURP! SLURP! Then Mmm… are the sounds you will hear from me when I eat really good ramen. And yes, I surely always finish it all, down to the last noodle strand and broth drop. :)Food: 5.0 – I always finish every single bit of what I eat. Finger clean the plates. Lol!Service: 3.5 – It’s an on and off thing. Service not always consistent. Sometimes I wait short times for my orders, sometimes longer. The staff is always friendly though.Price: 4.0 – Price is doable. Quality, quantity, authenticity of food makes it worth it.Ambience: 4.5 – The place feels relaxing. Never felt the rush to eat my food. Clean and simple design as how the Japanese are. Now, I am so craving for IFR. Maybe even might double my Uni Dip order, take some home, and have awesome chips while watching a movie or series marathon. Is one takeout order enough? Hehe.

I remember this branch because of the staff who does not smile. I simply asked her to smile and she did. Practice malea perfect. As for the food, I only tried their ramen. Ebi ramen was great. The shrimp is real! I will return in this place.

I've always wanted to go to this place to try their ramen and I finally had a chance when I passed by Estancia on my way to Ortigas. I ordered the lunch set of Black Tonkotsu ramen with Karaage and it satisfied my craving taste buds. The ambiance and service was also good.

The ramen in this place gas deteriorated over time. This used to be my favorite ramen place. It's near my house and not too crowded. They offer lunch specials which is a bang for your buck as far as good ramen goes.My favirite is the black garlic ramen and that's what I always order. The last 2x a went here, their broth tastes bland. Unlike before, the broth was so flavorful you'd want to ask for more soup!Hope they can bring back the old quality. Hate to let this one go as one of my favorite ramen place

I was surprised I liked it. I read so many bad reviews about this place. Love that they have a lunch special, that comes with a bowl of ramen, a rice bowl with pork, and a small salad.
