Was here for lunch yesterday. Food was good and serving was just right for the price. The platter had a quarter chicken,a quarter slab of fall off the bone tender pork, 4 big grilled prawns, 3 sides (spinach was yum!) , plate of olive rice and pitcher of iced tea. Good deal for 999 pesos! Its not fine dining so I wasn't expecting mind blowing Portuguese cuisine. Grilled chicken slathered with spices is good enough. I love how they have unlimited refill of sauces as well, the pepper and garlic ones are perfect together. Servers were polite and helpful explaining what sauce would fit which meat. And they have lagers too! Nice addition!Satisfied website here. Burp!

Apart from the colorful graffiti and the mix your own dip counter, there's nothing much spectacular about the place. The staff were gracious enough to take our request for a photo op by the wall and were pretty much attentive but they do take time serving the food. We got the chicken and rice, made a mild spicy mix for our dip but having tasted another peri-peri chicken place in Maginhawa which was even way cheaper, I'd say Gostoso doesn't even come close to the succulent, flavorful taste of what peri-peri chicken is all about. We also got the mac and cheese for an additional side but sadly, the instant box form of it would have been a better deal. I don't think I'd be back anytime around this place for quite a while. The sad thing is that I discovered about it here in website and I was quite disappointed by the recommendation. Yikes.Oh. Apparently I wasn't able to take photos of our food anymore. Probably because they took a while and we were already starving.😞

I can't find the Gostoso Piri Piri branch here at website, it is located at UP Town Centre. Not a fan of Mexican food but it tastes good ?? there is a unique twists on the flavor of the chicken, it is unfamiliar but delicious.

I was a bit early for a website meetup and i haven't had lunch yet so i decided to check and try this restaurant. The place was okay, i love the ambiance and the concept. I was greeted and welcomed by the manager. The crew assisted me and gladly answered all.my question. He recommended Francesinya which according to him is a portugese favorite! By the way, that's also the concept of the restaurant. Francesinya is a combination of roast beef, chorizo, ham in beer sauce between a melted cheese and brioche buns. Since its a roast beef, expect that your food will be served in 20 - 30 minutes (quite long) but worth the wait i should say. The sandwich was bursting in different flavors, every ingredient compliments one another. Sauce was okay, brioche buns is fabulous with melted cheese on top. Beef is perfect! Definitely recommending this place.

Went to Gotoso Piri Piri for a family lunch! We ordered the Chicken Meal! Each item bursts with flavor! The chicken is very juicy and the sides are flavorful. The only thing was it was pricey for small servings.Other than that it tasted good.

We ended up having lunch at this place after seeing a long waiting list at the nearby fil-mexican resto. Definitely did not regret this 2nd choice. The Piri Piri platter we ordered (which had some grilled chicken, pork and prawns) was absolutely delicious. The platter was good for 3-4 people but my partner and I finished almost everything. The sides were good to except for the garlic and cream pasta which was a bit bland. Nonetheless, I'd definitely come back for their Piri Piri goodness! :)

Piripiri goodness! Loved the food - the chicken was absolutely perfect with their sauces. Did not have a hard time eating with my anti-spicy food friends, theres a condiment for everyone. The meat was juicy and well seasoned the sides dishes complemented the entrée. We also had the starter platter but it kind of paled in comparison to the main dish. Service - the staff was attentive and gave good advice in terms of serving sizes and what to try. Kudos! Ambiance - festive, modern with a portugese(?) latin american twist. Parking - finding a parking slot in the Kapitolyo area is challenging. There are a lot of awesome restaurants but even before you get to your chosen venue you'll get frustrated. Good thing Gostoso and the bar beside it had a designated lot. No need to worry about that when eating there. :)

Frankly, I still haven't found the best Portugese BBQ chicken in Manila. Piri-piri is the product of time-honoured, slow roasting techniques that yield crispy, flame-kissed skin trapping in moisture and delicious natural juices. Aside from mouth-wateringly moist meat, it's the iconic Portugese piri-piri sauce characterized by flavourful - and not too hot - chili, lemon and oil that gives Portuguese chicken its finger-licking qualities.Gostoso is a casual restaurant rather than a fastfood one – another aspirational touch. The food is energetically spiced, where so many of it's competitors are bland, and grilled to order, where the competition fries food and then lets it sit around. My standards on chicken Potuguese is the breast part served "hot", which is fairly spicy. But on my Ofsted-style inspection visit, I ordered it "extra hot". After my first mouthful, I was expecting to burst into tears and went crimson; but I didn't. I've finished three saucers of "extra hot" dip in one sitting! Not really what I was hoping for.As that makes crystal clear, Gostoso isn't haute cuisine – in fact, it's the opposite; that's the whole point. What it is, though, is an undepressing high street chain – and an example of how ordinary daily food has improved in the Metro over the last decade and a bit.

Chicken was good, but the rice and side dish were not warm. The pasta side dish seemed like it came out of the fridge and microwaved for 30 seconds. We enjoyed the chicken and different sauces.

Reading from their menu, "Paying homage to a timeless Portuguese recipe", I had high expectations of this place. We just got back from our family vacation up north and we were famished after an 8-hour long drive. As I've said, I expected much since I once tried Portuguese cuisine and I loved it. But their peri peri chicken as they're claiming to be "marinated to perfection" before being grilled over an open flame turned out to be not-so-perfect and bland. From the faces of my cousins, I saw that not even one of them are enjoying their food - (gutom pa kami niyan ah!) Scanned through the table of the 'oldies' and they too were not satisfied. We ended up eating our leftover chips and cookies in the car as we headed back home feeling a bit upset - remember the saying? Don't mess up with a hungry person. I got to dine at their branch at UPTC as well, staff were friendly, but food remains to be the same. Recent update: UPTC location - now closed
