Kapitolyo used to be my neighborhood back when it was the hottest website spot in Manila. I'd go around the area on weekends and check out the newest shops. And more often than not, I'd be heading back home with a happy tummy and several new favorites. And one of which was Epic Cafè. Hello, Epic Cafè.

A pleasant surprise tucked in the Kapitolyo neighborhood. The shop has got mixed reviews in website, but my wife and I still went to try out their coffee and have our late lunch, and we’re glad we did! Epic Cafe has a cozy Japanese-inspired ambience, with red-brick walls, wooden tables, and camera and bike displays. For the coffee, we loved their iced mocha! I ordered their famous seasalt caramel but I found it too salty for my taste. For the meals, we ordered bacon and tapsilog. Both tasted great! And to cap off the meal, we got their choco fudge brownie. Super loved it!

    1. Caramel Latte (5/5)- Best Latte I've had so far. Taste is deep and sweet and milky. Very balanced.2. Belgian Cake (4/5)- Paired very well with the organic green tea (Harney and Sons) they have.3. Harney and Sons Organic Green Tea (5/5)- I'm a fan of tea and I must say it's probably the best tea I've had in a while.

Good coffee.Great ambience to study/work.Just wish the WiFi would not be limited to an hour per order. Perhaps 2 or 3 hours would be sufficient.

Service is very inconsistent and terrible. The first time I ordered hot chocolate, my mind was blown and the next and the next. I know the taste and consistency. This one time, it was so off (on top of them giving the wrong size). The chocolate sweetness was gone. It basically just tasted like milo. We sent it back twice and it was all just flat. Where else can I get hot chocolate of that caliber?
