Chose El Phante as I wanted to compare which pad thai was better, streat's or gastro park's? At first it was a turnoff as it costs 175 which is a lot more expensives than maginhawa's php 129. The orders came and it was good but probably not good enough to justify its price of php 175. Their nachos was different though and i liked it a bit.

It is our first time in Gastro Park, so we decided to order one dish per stall..Before ordering I always asked for their best seller..I ordered El Phante's Pad Thai-Mex coz according to the guy it is their best seller, it costs 75 pesos..We've waited 20 minutes for the food to be served..The pasta was okay but I didn't like it that much..

Tucked away in back streets of Kapitolyo is El Phante Thai-Mex Street Food, one of the dozens of food stalls in the new Gastro Park. Who would have thought Thai and Mex can work together? The Chipotle Chicken Basil (PHP 145) is a testament to this. While it may seem simple, it’s also flavorful.  It can be served as a rice plate or as 2 soft shell tacos.

A few days ago, my friends and I went to Gastro Park Kapitolyo. One of the food stalls we tried is El Phante. We tried two dishes: Sriracha Carnitas Soft Tacos and Pad Thai-Mex. I love how the Thai and Mexican flavors combined with the Sriracha Carnitas Soft Tacos, a bit spicy and delicious. I wasn't really into the Pad Thai-Mex because I love the authentic Thai flavor so much, but in respect to this food stall's objective in mixing Thai and Mexican tastes, this dish was spot-on. The prices were a bit expensive for me, but the servings are generous and the dishes are worth trying. Mind you that the dishes are Thai and Mex, not authentic Thai or authentic Mex.

I was so excited to try other famous food parks aside from Maginhawa food parks. I've seen several blogs about Gastro Park and it looks awesome. We went there on a Monday after work and the place was not full. So many vacant tables unlike the food parks i've been to. Believe me it'd be hard to get a table in Maginhawa if it's already past 5pm, even on a weekday. Plus points for not being too crowded. I ordered Pad Thai from El Phante, thai-mex cuisine. The presentation is nice and so is the serving size. The taste is kinda different. I think there is fish paste and it's overpowering the whole meal. It's still pretty decent but a bit pricey at 175php
