I will always associate High Tea set with hotel lounges, elegant furniture, artsy view, and light but filling food - exactly the one I recently had at Marco Polo’s Connect Lounge.Located at the 24th floor, Connect Lounge is the perfect place to chill. It has a nice view of the metro. I love how classy the interiors are. We has their Afternoon High Tea Set for 788php. Yes for only 788php, you get to enjoy a 3-tier set of pastries, cakes, mini sandwiches with coffee or tea. The drink can be upgraded to a glass of champagne, smoothie or iced tea. I actually had High Tea set in other restaurants before but I must say that this one’s much better. I actually loved the mini sandwiches and the pastries. I loved the colourful baguettes. Each color has different flavour. I also loved the one with strawberry, though I forgot what it’s called.The Chocolate Soufflé  was also a surprise. It came with chocolate and milk sauce but I prefer the latter better. I loved the texture of the cake. I think I actually ate one order. What I truly loved about this set is their tea. I had their black tea and man, it was so good. It kind of soothed my soul. Yeah, I know it’s just tea that can be bought somewhere else, but pairing their good pastries with good tea made the difference.I actually ordered lemon iced tea as I saw it from another customer. It was so beautiful!!! I actually liked that the sweetener and lemon concentrate were separated from the tea itself. This made me adjust the sweetness and sourness of my iced tea. Cool idea I must say!I’m planning to go back here with my friends to just chill and have a good chit-chat.

Connect Lounge located on the 24th floor of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is a place where you can enjoy munching on an afternoon snacks paired with a cup of coffee or tea. With a cozy ambiance and city view, as the name, this is a perfect place where you can have a nice chit chat with friends or love ones. Afternoon Tea set is available from Monday – Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. A selection of mini sandwiches, cakes, scones in a three-tier stand, I could say is definitely worth it for the price of Php788.  Since this is an open kitchen bar, you may customize your preferred cakes or sandwiches. Also, an upgrade if you wanted to have a glass of wine, iced tea or smoothie. We also tried Strawberry and Mango Sherbet. I loved how it was true to its flavor. Very refreshing indeed. I say if you’re looking for an afternoon snack with a sophisticated approach, head on to Connect Lounge to experience a relaxing afternoon Tea time.

After feasting in Lung Hin, we headed out to Connect Lounge for some much-needed tea to help digest all the food that we had.The Afternoon Tea includes mini sandwiches, cakes, and scones in a three-tier stand, which you can pair with coffee or tea. All that for only 788, which is already good for two people. You also have an option to upgrade your drink to wine, iced-tea or smoothie.Ambience – 4/5Service – 3/5The Strawberry and Mango Sherbet was not served.Location – 4/5Food – 4/5

You can try scones, colorful sandwiches, and different kinds of pastries. Not only is it pleasing to the eyes, the taste was very much complimented by my tastebuds. For P788.00, you will get more than you could ever ask for in just an afternoon snack.Venue: Here we have a place for you and your friends/family to hang out, chat, and relax. This is also the place for you to go to when you're just looking to pass your time by. Bring your buddies with you, put your gadgets down, and CONNECT with them. I'm sorry, I needed to keep using that pun. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here. It will be worth it.

i ate here with my mom last sunday after a long day of... doing nothing (😅). we both agreed on ordering the afternoon tea set!! it was served with mango and strawberry sherbet, and we were actually given an option between tea or hot coffee for the drinks (which we graciously declined because neither of us drink tea and both prefer our coffee iced). the sherbet was served almost immediately and after around 20 minutes (😬) they finally got around to bringing out the scrumptious sampler. biting into the sandwiches proved that they were well worth the wait, but the scones and pastries were less exciting. we also didn't like the sherbet (😅), just not our thing, i guess. sophisticated tables and seats, paired with the view of ortigas and natural lighting, gives the lounge a chill and serene vibe. the ambiance made up for whatever the afternoon tea lacked. won't be back any time soon but the experience was quite alright. 🌻

Relax and unwind with a stunning view of the city at the Connect Lounge on the 24th floor of Marco Polo Hotel. Catch up with your friends while enjoying an array of selections from the Afternoon Tea Set!A set consists of english scones with jam and cream, canapes with your choice of baguette (plain, tomato, corn, squid ink or parsley), a plate of dessert samplers, sherbet, chocolate souffle with vanilla and chocolate sauce, and your choice of either coffee and/or tea. I love how these small bites let's you experience a little bit of everything giving you the choice to balance both savory and sweet variants. The highlight of my afternoon tea experience was the canapes and the chocolate souffle with vanilla sauce. If you're a bit picky with food, don't worry! Just make sure to let the servers know beforehand and you may have your set customized. Also, you can opt to upgrade your coffee/tea to a glass of champagne, smoothie, or iced tea with an additional fee.Lovely ambiance with comfortable chairs, a spacious venue, an astonishing view, good food, and attentive set of staff. What more could you ask for? Connect lounge is definitely a great place to take some load off.

While most hotel lobbies are located at the ground floor, Marco Polo Ortigas takes advantage of its location by placing theirs at the 24th floor, together with Cucina, one of their restaurants, and Connect Lounge. This results in awesome views while you drink your coffee or tea, feast on their pastries and mini-sandwiches or sip you wine. As with Cucina, they have an open kitchen where you can also entertain yourself watching their expert chefs prepare your tray. Connect Lounge also offers their Afternoon Tea, available daily from 2-6pm, for P788. Guests can enjoy a customized set of pastries set on a three-tier stand. Good for sharing, it has cakes and mini-sandwiches, which you can pair with coffee or tea. I was still full from the buffet we had just previously, but these bites are hard to resist. The ham and salami and the salmon open-faced mini sandwiches were really, really good. The different textures of the crusty baguette, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese make for a happy fiesta in my mouth (and stomach). The Amuse Bouche Sherbet was part science experiment, part visual art and really yummy. It came out smoking but after the show, it’s simply still a good, sweet and tart dessert. We had mango and raspberry that day. There were also scones but sadly I was too full to try that but one of my companions loved it. However, I am never too full for chocolate and so I made room for the chocolate souffle, made even chocolatey-er with dark and white chocolate sauce that you can pour to the base. it was rich and to-die-for. The souffle is a separate order from the afternoon tea setSo whether you are by your lonesome, with a friend, family or a date, waiting at the Connect Lounge in the afternoons definitely has its perks.

Afternoon Tea is available from 2:00 to 6:00 pm daily. At just Php 788 for 2 people, you will get a generous assortment of scones paired with cream and spreads, mini sandwiches, tarts, cheesecakes, and other desserts paired with tea. These are all served on a sleek and beautiful three-tiered metal stand.Each of the baguettes they use for the sandwiches are tinted a different color, to indicate their respective flavors. The red indicates tomato, black for squid ink, yellow for corn, green for parsley, and yellow for corn. My favorites were the smoked salmon sandwiches and the chocolate lava cake.
