After a tiring client meeting this morning, we stopped by at Tiendesitas to get lunch before going thru the December traffic back to Ortigas where our office is. With everyone being nostalgic about Aysee in Ultra, we thought of having lunch at Aysee here in Tiendesitas open food court. We order their known bestseller pork sisig with egg and adobong kangkong with tokwa. The sisig was sizzling hot when it was served to our table. And it was the same crunchy sisig all through out the way we used to remember. But today, i tasted something that put me off a little bit which i didn't notice before. It seemed like there is a hint taste of margarine in the sisig. What was a bigger hit for me was their adobo kangkong. It had a generous serving with big chunks of crunchy pork meat and crunchy tokwa. The vegetable was cooked perfectly, still crisp and not soggy. And the sauce was delicious that you would like to sauce it to your rice. All in all, a very filling and satisfying lunch for us.

I have no idea why people consider Aysee's sisig to be among the best. A few years ago we had some at their Oranbo branch and it tasted bland -- basically the taste of chicharon with onions. You can't even detect any taste or scent of having been grilled. Because of that experience, we stayed away from Aysee's for years, and continued to wonder what people saw in their sisig. Recently we decided to give it one more chance we tried their pork sisig again at their Tiendesitas branch. This time it was worse. It was still the same bland taste of chicharon and onions, but horrors -- with lots of STAR margarine mixed in. Without a doubt the worst sisig I've had. Stay away from this sisig. I feel sorry for the host of Street Food Around the World for having been taken to Aysee's to sample our famous Filipino dish. He was probably just too kind to say how bad it was.

The #1 Best Sisig in Pasig. What I love about Aysee's is that they have good food in affordable prices. We tried their bestsellers Sisig and Papaitan. The Papaitan was served on a hot pot to keep it from cooling. The only thing that got me disappointed is that since the place was open, it has plenty of flies around the area and I even found one fly swimming in our Papaitan. Completely lost my appetite. It could've been perfect.

We ordered the pork sisig which was fantastic but the rice was cold. So rating is not very good. Mapapaextra rice pa naman sana ako sa sarap ng sisig.

The food court at Tinedesitas where Aysee can be found is an open air eating place. Food stalls are situated next to each other. Just near the stalls are a few tables and chairs. There are not so many people when we went to Aysee for lunch which is a good thing because there is only limited space for customers. Aysee is serving Filipino dishes with Pork Sisig (PHP130) as one of their bestsellers. Very tangy and crispy, their Sisig is topped with raw egg on a sizzling hot plate. Immediately mix the egg while the plate is hot and squeeze the calamansi that comes with it. Yum!Aside from Pork Sisig, we also had Crispy Pork (PHP130) and Sinigang na Hipon (PHP150). Both are undeniably good. Crispy Pork is rightly crunchy with every bite. Sinigang na Hipon (shrimp) has a delectable soup with average-sized shrimps and vegetables. I really like how sour the soup is.For our appetizer, we ordered Ensaladang Mangga (PHP90). Their Ensaladang Mangga (Green Mango Salad) comes with tomatoes and onions mixed with Bagoong (Shrimp Paste). Their serving is good for 2 persons already. A generous cup of rice costs PHP20. They also have set meals for large groups. With a very affordable price, customers can enjoy original Filipino dishes at Aysee. For more travel and food reviews, visit my blog at:

The only place that I frequent for sisig and for the price. This would have been a 5 if they are consistent with the quality and make it sizzling all the time.

i would recommend classic pork sisig. for soup, papaitan is still a must try. for budget conscious, their bucket is 300 with a choice of beer chow. for light eaters try their sizzling corn and mushroom.

Aysee is still the best sisig in Metro Manila. Their papaitan is also very good. The Oranbo branch is the original and is a short walk from Capitol Commons.
